Room looks a little bit rundown but it was spacious and the ensuite bathtub made for a great way to relax after an entire day of walking around in the city.
It was located a little distance from the Tram stop, so if you dont know the shortcut, it could take a while to see and walk to the hotel.
Breakfast selection and variety was great, enjoyed the meals thoroughly.
Location was near the civic centre and National Library, so that was a nice bonus.

Recently been touring the Holy Land and stayed in this very ordinary hotel. The party were there for 4 nights while in Jerusalem. The rooms are ordinary but we’re tired and needed some TLC. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good and offered a fair variety to meet ordinary needs bu5 it did not sparkle. The internet was reasonable and did the business. In the basement was a group of shops. I used the coffee house as the hotel coffee was nothing special. The hotel was noisy as it seemed full with runners for the Marathon as well as other touring groups. Staff were mixed. Some were very helpful, others seemed to treat guests as nuisance. They should work on there welcome. Yes the hotel is ordinary in need of a make over if it wants to improve its reputation.

We checked in to the hotel for a 2 night weekend stay. We had booked a room with an Old City view. Unfortunately, the view was of another hotel opposite, the First Station and the Mount of Olives. If I leaned out if the window and looked left I could see the Old City. The room was very tastefully furnished, with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower. The hotel has a shallow indoor lap pool, next to a well equipped gym. There is an outdoor infinity pool on the roof with amazing panoramic views in 3 directions. It gets windy up there and the pool was very cold. There is an indoor meat bar on the roof, which we went to, but left soon after as it was freezing at night. I would recommend improving the heating in there. Breakfast was a very high standard with an excellent selection and high quality. Hot drinks and eggs are served to the table. Dinner on Friday night was the best I'd ever had. There was an extensive selection with very good meats in the carvery. The food was further enhanced by the excellent service by the dining room staff. We also enjoyed treatments in the spa. The spa receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The lobby bar serves good cocktails and food. The staff in the hotel are very service oriented, from the room cleaners, to the reception staff (apart from one rude receptionist). Fadi at reception ensured that the guests got the best service and should be commended.

Great hotel, great choice for breakfast, refined and healthy. The rooms are also beautiful, with large stone buildings, typical of the Jerusalem style. If you're looking for a luxurious and memorable stay, the King David Hotel is an excellent choice. We stayed there during Rosh Hashanah with the whole family, and the experience was exceptional. The desserts were particularly impressive—crunchy where they should be, tender and full of flavor, perfectly balanced, and crafted with impeccable taste. Not only were they delicious, but they were also beautifully presented. The food overall was outstanding, and every meal was a delight. The King David Hotel is truly a luxury destination for connoisseurs. Every single detail is meticulously cared for, from the elegant ambiance to the top-tier service. The hotel’s long and fascinating history adds a special charm that enhances the entire experience. While you're there, I highly recommend joining Doctor Haim Cohen's tour, which offers captivating insights into the hotel’s historical significance. For those who appreciate luxury, history, and exceptional cuisine, the King David Hotel is a perfect destination.

The location of the hotel is a few minutes walk from the old town. The service is also very good from the door to the front desk. It's just that it's inconvenient to drink when the minibar is empty. In addition, there is dust on the bedside counter, and hygiene is not very good.

GGuest UserI really wanted to like this place after reading all the great reviews here but came away with slightly mixed feelings. On the plus side, it is a beautiful old building, and the location is fabulous, just a few minutes walk from the Damascus Gate (the entry into the most interesting part of the old city) and the nearby light rail stop. My room felt a bit tired and in need of an upgrade though - a decent coffee machine and real cups rather than disposable ones would be a good start. Staff were pleasant enough but didn't go out of their way to be helpful. There's a nice airy restaurant on the ground floor, but in a country with such fabulous food pretty much everywhere you go, I thought the breakfast left a lot to be desired, and for that reason I didn't attempt any other meals here. I was travelling alone and for a place to lay my head at night, it was perfectly fine and a reasonable price, but it wasn't a place that I wanted to linger in. If I were back in Jerusalem with my family I'd forego the atmosphere and look for something a bit more modern.
伍伍The hotel is still good to find, but the picture of the scheduled family suite shows two rooms (Figure 5). After entering, it is a room with two beds (Figure 4). Because the Sabbath arrived, there was no one at the door of the hotel (Figure 3). Figure 12 is the hotel lobby and corridor. Usually very busy at night, walking to the old city is very close, about 10 minutes.
GGuest UserLocation was excellent, and the room was huge for the two of us. We appreciated having two bathrooms! Staff was always friendly and helpful (such as with directions, restaurant recommendations). We had been ”scammed” by a hacker who took additional payment from us. When the management learned of this, they explained that 5 different hotels had been ”hacked,” and that they had taken exhaustive steps to secure their system. Furthermore, they discounted our room quite significantly so that the effect of the breach was minimized. This was very much appreciated and spoke to their professionalism and humanity! This is not a luxurious property or luxury hotel, but a good value for couples and families, very near Old Jerusalem. Cleaning was adequate but could be improved. Overall: Very positive experience: Excellent location (near Old Jerusalem, restaurants, bars, etc.). Huge room. Pleasant staff with good recommendations. Management responsive to losses due to hackers and to our overall experience. Highly recommended--great value for a non-luxury hotel!
XXIAOHUIThe location of this hotel is very good. But unfortunately, it was done twice in a row, and they all encountered festivals in Jerusalem. A little noisy outside. It seems that there is a bar outside the window, which is a bit late.
XXIAOCHUNThe hotel environment is very good, the building was transformed from the previous church, the shape is great, the tower can be overlooked throughout Jerusalem, the service is good, breakfast options are not much
GGuest UserThe hotel was very nice. Staff extremely friendly, we even got a free upgrade to a better room. The location was great as it is very close to the city center and in the middle of an area with many shops and restaurants. One comment that I have is that the breakfast was missing labels on the food so we needed to ask in case we did not recognize the food.
AAnonymous User- Living area: 12 bed bunk room is quite small and it can be stuffy when we dry our towel and clothes within the room.
- Ventilation: the aircon is good but slightly noisy. The best option is to open the window.
- Shower: clean toilet and shower. Warm water is the best. We need to pay extra for towel, so bring your own towel.
- Food: Breakfast option is simple (bread, bread spreads, cereal, milk, boiled egg), there is a public kitchen where you can cook your own food. Please keep it clean and tidy.
- Service: One of the staff was quite rude/impatient especially when it comes to their Religion and Practices.
- Hangout area: superb, there is an indoor and outdoor hangout spot, a really good place to meet backpackers and make new friends
DdyduchA bit disappointed of the hotel, picture looks super nice but in real it’s not like that at all.. room are very dark and super noisy receptionist not very friendly or welcoming, breakfast is fine but on the basement, you don’t really want to stay at the restaurant.. Plus they put tones of conditioner and body lotion but zero shampoo and shower gel. Last thing, zero consideration on sustainability or ecological question (towel or amenities)
QQIUMEIAfter taking the bus from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, you need to take a taxi. There is a little walk. Walk about 20 minutes from the ancient city and walk to the Damascus Gate for half an hour. The accommodation conditions are probably less than the domestic Samsung level. There is no kettle and no slippers.
GGuest UserHello, the Hostal team is very nice, cooperative and understanding. we just slept there, it was ok , if you are annoyed with noise , ask to have a bck room that is not headed to the main street. the location is wonderful. close to many places. i have loved it , i will definately come back again. we were 5 people , family.
