Hotels Near Desert National Park Guide in Jaisalmer

We stayed at the Heritage Inn last week as two families travelling from Ludhiana, Punjab. We stayed here for 2 nights. Check in: Pleasantly surprised to find attentive staff at 1:30 am in the night when we reached the hotel. They welcomed us at this late hour and made sure that we were fully settled in our rooms. We realized that had we arrived during regular hours we would have had a warm and memorable welcome with the beat of drums, floral garlands, and rose petal confetti. Musical Performance: The first night, the hotel had arranged a cultural show at dinner time. We felt the event was filled with energy and the performers put on quite a show! There was a nice touch of authenticity to the live music. At the end of the show, hotel guests were welcomed to dance to the traditional music if they wished. Dinner buffet was served on the hotel lawn, next to the performance, but if you prefer, you could have dinner ordered a-la-carte and served to your table. FOOD: Heritage Inn has an excellent Chef. If you order from the a-la-carte menu, it will be served to the table. All of the dishes we ordered were really really good. Chicken tikka, Lal-maas (red lamb curry), Daal (lentil), Okra (Lady’s fingers)...everything was outstanding. Talk to the staff, get to know them a bit, and they will really take care of you. CAMEL Safari: The Camel ride was one of the highlights of the trip. This event is about half an hour away from where the hotel is. Again, we used the transportation that was arranged by the hotel. Since we were very concerned about eating food from elsewhere, we had the hotel pack food for us which we could take on our camel ride. SAFETY: Most importantly, Heritage Inn is a safe and quiet property, and this was important to us. Overall, the staff was very accommodating and service was excellent.

This is an absolute gem and retreat of place in Jaisalmer. Lovely indoor pool that is nice and cool. Staff and food was amazing. Can’t say enough amazing things about this place. We did an evening camel safari with Padam to the dunes. Amazing amazing. Definitely stay the night if you can. All the staff helped us with all sorts of requests and recommendations. Will be back for sure!

Hotel Vasshifa is newly built hotel the rooms are so clean and hygienic and near to the Jaisalmer fort and market and we can gent a good night view of fort from the restaurant and the food is so delicious and they are providing a city tour and jeep safari and night stay in desert in thar camp and I enjoyed a jeep safari a lot and overall every thing is so good must try

Casa de Kaku, or Uncle’s Home, is a small and excellent family run hotel with magnificent views over the city and of the fort from your breakfast/dining table. It is in a superb location, close to the renowned Patwon ki Haveli. The owner was warm, welcoming and very helpful. He was very positive and had the answers before you had the questions. On the morning of our departure our transport to Jodhpur was cancelled due to a strike. Our host investigated our options and organised all our new onward travel arrangements. I would certainly recommend this hotel to those travelling to Jaisalmer. Don’t expect costumed flunkeys - but do expect warm caring staff.
