Shame on the naysayers, this is a quaint historic inn with an excellent location, accommodating staff , comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfast. If you are expecting the Ritz, stay at the Ritz. Furthermore, if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all, especially if you haven't asked to speak with the general manager to allow the complaints to be addressed and rectified. Come on people, it's the hospitality industry, no matter if restaurant, hotel or ice cream shop, if your not satisfied with the product, at least give management the opportunity to make it right or stop your whining. Also keep in mind that when you point your finger at someone, you have three fingers pointed back at yourself. I am a retired resort ops professional team leader who spent the bulk of his career at resorts in the Caribbean, have won many industry awards including one of the most coveted in the hospitality industry. I have had the pleasure to stay at this hotel three times in the last five weeks while in Jacksonville on personal business, I will be making weekly trips to Jacksonville for the next several months and the Casa Marina is where I will be staying. A definite pearl, in the Jacksonville beach sand! My hat is off to the team at the Casa Marina for keeping the lights on at this grand historic inn, sharing with us her past and believing in her future. Sincerely, Dean H Morris
