The lodge is very old with dirty stained carpets and no working restaurant as advertised. I tried to hang my coat in the closet and the door fell of the rollers. Paint was peeling off the wall in the bathroom and the combined tub/shower had a slick surface. If you grab the tub faucet, it rotates around. The drain is broken. A sign on the front desk announced the elevator was not working. It was printed and in a stand, not hastily written by hand as if it just happened. The lodge looks nothing like the pictures posted in their ads. It requires maintenance throughout. We were shown other rooms and they were all in the same state of decay. If you think you will be getting a lovely Bavarian lodge for your stay and meals, don't believe it. When checking out the next day, the desk clerk refused to give us a receipt for our overnight stay. She told us that AAA (our source for selecting this lodging) was working with *******. They said ******* would be emailing our receipt to us. It did not happen. We could not get a person to speak to us at *******, only recordings. If you would like to stay at a dismal lodge with a room offering whiskey and gummy bears, this is the place.

This property is very old and unkempt. The rooms are dingy and outdated. The staff is apathetic/lazy and offers no assistance whatsoever. They do NOT have a pool or spa in use so the pictures the advertise are false. They also have no bar or restaurant available. Terrible hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!

My wife and I have stayed at the Alpenhof occasionally since 1980. We've loved the European charm, the great meals and the location of the hotel. Its been slowly getting old and tired but since the new ownership has taken over its taken a nose dive. No longer the nice dinning nor the outdoor hot tub looking up at the mountain. No longer the manager with the friendly beagle. The once beautiful carpets are filthy and worn out. The beds are still comfortable. I guess we still have the memories......

One day stay with a broken elevator and parking in a general lot. Very old property. We won’t return.

The room looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 80’s. The wooden furniture was in pretty rough condition. The carpet was badly worn and covered in stains. The elevator was out of service so we had to carry our luggage three flights. They do not offer any breakfast.

Had a nice time in the village. Super cute hotel I am sure the skiers love. Other than the elevator being broken and my disabled friend being put on the 3rd floor, we had a nice time.

A wonderful place to stay if you are touring the Grand Tetons or hanging out in Jackson Hole. A great value at the price point of the room. The staff was friendly and very helpful during our stay.

We should have done our homework but this was booked several months ago. As other reviewers have often commented, the hotel requires a ground-up refurb. The staff need proper training in the arts of hospitality management and the pricing strategy revised. I would seriously consider any alternative to the Alpenhof. There are parts of the hotel, including guest rooms, that are frankly grubby. Beware of claims made on the website as these are untrue (restaurant, pool, breakfast). None of these were available but breakfast was provided in a neighbouring hotel. Never again!!
