If you are thinking of going to Balçova Thermal Hotel for the aquapark, DO NOT GO, because there has been no aquapark around for the last 3 years. We learned about the situation after checking in to the hotel. The reason I wrote this review is that the aquapark information and photos are still available on the hotel's website and tripadvisor pages. When I explained the situation to the hotel official, I received contradictory and illogical explanations. He told me that they had definitely written about the situation in their previous correspondence. When I said that I had not received such information and that I could show the correspondence immediately on my phone, he stated that they did not look at the correspondence and removed the web pages themselves, but each time the company to which the aquapark was affiliated put them back. However, if they did not cancel the link on their own page and put it back, there would be no problem. We shortened our stay at the hotel and received a small compensation, but the hotel officials did not refund our money. I present this situation, which does not comply with any commercial principles, here to prevent others from falling into the same situation...

I have been using the thermal pools daily from time to time for about a year. In December, I paid a discounted fee of 250 TL for retirees, but in January this fee increased to 420 TL. When I say there was a big increase, an exorbitant increase was made in May by making it 1000 TL. Although the outdoor pool was under renovation for almost 3 months, the normal fee was charged. However, this excessive increase was made after the renovation was completed. The hotel customers are generally foreigners anyway. I think they want to restrict the use of the pool because of the FTR treatments. However, such a large facility remains idle. This extremely high price increase is basically telling Turkish customers not to come on a daily basis. I do not understand why such a high increase was made in an institution belonging to a private administration. If the summer season and FTR intensity are a reason, I am eagerly waiting for the winter season prices.

Best value of anyplace I've ever stayed, and I've travelled in 70 countries! Nice room with balcony overlooking the forest, huge and delicious breakfast, use of the beautiful spa and grounds, and nearby hiking trails. Was so great I decided to spend a whole month here!

The hotel is built on a large area and offers the opportunity to walk outside the main building. Accordingly, there is a few minutes' walking distance between the entrance and the hotel building. The rooms and furniture are old. The hotel is generally old. Breakfast is not bad. There is an indoor and outdoor pool. Thermal pools are okay. Sauna and steam rooms are small.

I stayed at the hotel for business. The facility is large and green. However, I cannot comment on the social facilities as I did not use them. Breakfast is a bit above average, some of the staff are smiling, some are not. The rooms are very old, restoration is definitely needed.

We had previously booked a family room for 3 people. However, when we arrived, they told me that there were no family rooms, they had added another bed to the same room. Later, I booked a second room for my mother-in-law. They don't have family rooms, so make sure to book. Other than that, the rooms are nice and warm, with a bathtub and separate shower. The water smells because it's thermal, unfortunately I couldn't use the pools because I had a lot of work to do, so I can't comment on that. The breakfast is really filling and varied. I recommend it to everyone in terms of price and performance.
