We had a good time in Istanbul, and this was certainly helped by the location of the Sari Konak Hotel, which is a stone's throw from all the main attractions of the Sultanahmet diet, right behind the Blue Mosque. The location is ideal.
As for the hotel itself, on the one hand, for this money in the center of Istanbul you can hardly expect anything better, and on the other hand, at a price of €100/day for a tiny room, you should invest at least a little in updating such basic things as bed linen, pillows, bedspreads and towels are still possible.
The hotel maid (single person) tried her best and cleaned well, but guys, torn bed linen, lumped pillows and mattresses and bedspreads covered with indelible stains are unacceptable even for a 2* hotel.
The hotel's interior is interesting, authentic, but in urgent need of updating.
Breakfast is poor and suitable only for very undemanding travelers.
Pros:
1. Excellent location, a small market and a bunch of cafes and restaurants around, all the main attractions, including the Bosphorus, are within a kilometer radius;
2. Beautiful view from the roof terrace of the Bosphorus, Galata, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia;
3. Good free WiFi, working air conditioning and fan, stable hot water pressure in the rooms;
4. Friendly staff.
Minuses:
1. Shabby rooms and textiles that require updating (bed linen, bedspreads, pillows, towels);
2. Poor breakfast;
3. Two active construction sites within a radius of 20 meters from the hotel.
We had a great time in Istanbul, managed to see all the main wonders of this awesome city within 6 days - and the location of the “Sari Konak” hotel gave us the great advantage to access all the main attractions of the Sultanahmet area within a short walk. So, the location of the hotel (right behind the Blue Mosque) is perfect.

The hotel maid (there was just 1 housekeeper at the hotel throughout our stay) tried her best and cleaned the rooms well, but guys, torn bed linen, lumped pillows and mattresses and bedspreads littered with unremovable stain are unacceptable spots even for a 2* hotel, while “Sari Konak” claims for 4*.
