There were 5 of us staying at this hotel, booking made through ***********. We had to pay by credit card. Arriving late, we were allocated 2 rooms on different floors. We went out to dinner, returning around 2 a.m., we were surprised to discover that the elevator did not work, we took the service stairs, the first steps of which were not reassuring because they were not entirely stable, without Note that we were on the 2nd and 3rd floor. As luck would have it the next morning the elevator works again. Breakfast is not even offered on site because there is not enough space. 2 days later we were asked to pay the hotel in cash, when we asked to pay by credit card, it was refused. We insist since we were obliged to withdraw money to do so and this generates additional bank charges (minimum 6%), no rebate is granted to us. The 4th day, returning to the hotel with shopping, using the elevator, it stopped between the 2nd and 3rd floors, we remained stuck for around ten minutes, which seemed interminable to us when we pressed the ringing the alarm and banging loudly on the door. The receptionist goes up empty-handed for a few words (he doesn't speak a word of English) and goes back down to the lobby, he presses the button to make the elevator go down, which ends up going down, we go out but no one is there. As if nothing had happened. Anyway, apart from the geographical location, this hotel is lousy, this is my 5th stay in Istanbul and I have never experienced this. Unfortunately at the time of this stay almost all the reasonably priced hotels were full otherwise we would have to change hotels the day after our arrival.
