There was so much good about this motel! Neat place!! The room was very cozy and VERY small! No big deal at all. The bed had a nice, hard mattress (which I love) and comfy pillows. The shower had plenty of hot water and strong water pressure. The maid service was nothing short of outstanding. Very friendly and excellent at keeping the room neat and tidy. The room temp was easy to regulate. The breakfast had a great variety of choices. There is something here for anyone's taste. Lots of great breads and jams, too. Loved everything about this place. The front desk could not have been more helpful. They were friendly and enjoyed engaging in conversation. This hotel is close to the tram and, of course, the shopping options are innumerable. Highly recommended!!

I stayed for several days while waiting for my assigned ship. The accommodation is very good. Food is nice. The staff are helpful and very accommodating. The room is clean and the housekeeping checks everyday if you need anything or want to clean your room. I would say the best stay I had in Istanbul hotel so far.

This hotel is hidden on a side street just next to the train station (no noise from the station or street in the rooms) - so easy to walk everywhere that most tourists need including Gran Bazaar, Palace, Cistern, Mosques and Spice Market/Bridge. Tram station is only a block away for further explorations like Taksim Square, Kabatis piers (for day or dinner cruises) or Istanbul Modern Art Museum. Area can be very busy - which is part of the fun, but go one or two blocks away from the main street and find lots of more local shops and restaurants. When you arrive, your taxi will probably let you off near the main street and point you around the corner - but the hotel is easy to find so don't worry. Staff is great. English is limited, but was never a problem. We had two separate rooms since we traveled with family. One was a partial view room which was very comfortable. The other was the Junior Suite with Bosphorus View which was unique. It is really a 'penthouse' - when you open the door to the room, you walk up about 10 steps to enter the room. The suite was great - but what is worth the higher room rate is the spectacular view from every window and the terrace. Suite was provided with bottled water every day and instant coffee/tea. Small refrigerator if you bring your own food items to the room. Maid service deserves special note with friendly and efficient service. Breakfast is included. The selection included cold cuts, cheese, fruits, veggies, breads and eggs. Make sure to try the local 'simit' sesame rolls - like bagels but better, especially toasted! One of the highlights of our trip was having lunch at one of the employee's father's restaurant near the spice market. It was easy and fun to explore and find the restaurant and we had one of the best (and most inexpensive) meals of our trip. With all of this said - note that this is a small, friendly, family-owned hotel - that most people would put in a 3-star category. So don't expect luxury on the cheap, but excellent value, central location and friendly service. We did have a few issues and suggestions - nothing major, but the staff was eager to resolve any issues and improve the issues. Highly recommended - will return next time in Istanbul!

a very nice experience, everything was perfect, cleanliness, the people there were very kind and friendly, the location is good, it is not far from the bazaar, there are many shops next to the hotel, there is a grocery store right in front of the hotel. I will definitely come back!

We travel quite a bit as a family ( 2 children ages 7 and 12 ) but don’t always review. This hotel deserves every accolade we could provide. We had a family connecting room which was great and a perfect amount of space for all. Having two bathrooms was a real plus! Beds were comfortable and the room servicing was impeccable. The people go above and beyond, are incredibly kind and hospitable. The hotel is very well kept, clean, and has such a special charm. It is perfectly located to everything in the Old Town and has a beautiful terrace to sit on and enjoy the view of the Bosphorus. We would sit out at night and watch the sun set with a glass of wine and Fanta for the kids. The breakfast is wonderful and excellent quality. Have it included in your stay if you can. It is worth it. We search for great food and this exceeded our expectation. It is so fresh and changes daily. The staff is attentive and so helpful. The shop directly beside, Tencer Gift Shop is so wonderful. The owner is so kind and generous. We recommend getting something from him over the Grand Bazaar. I have never written a hotel review before, but I would like to share my experiences with other travelers. I have no complaints about the room and the location. The room was clean, and it met all expectations. Where this hotel excels above all others is with respect to customer service. - We were allowed an early check in with no additional cost. - The manager went out of his way on several occasions to explain how we can navigate tourist-traps and save $$ on our trip. For example, free ferries vs. overpriced tourist boats). - We had some medical issues to deal with on a Sunday when virtually everything was closed. They went out of their way to help us find a physician and a pharmacy that would provide us meds. These are just a few examples. The service level was unparalleled. Give the manager a pay-raise! We loved the place!

The hotel is in the old town. All the hotels in this article are small family hotels with no more than 20 rooms. The decoration of the rooms is relatively old and there are balconies on the top floors. However, the service is relatively good, with various lines and hotel pick-up and drop-off. travel items. Impera hotel is in a very safe and quiet street, even though it is in the middle of nightlife and entertainment. Breakfast presentations are very nice, the staff is attentive and kind. You can get good advice about the region. They have a huge wine selection and menus with good pizza and good pasta. If you want to stay away from the chaos of Taksim, I highly recommend it. I stayed in a standard room, it is a city hotel with very stylish architectural touches, there is great effort and vision in the entire building, I cannot say that the rooms are big but they are useful. The room I stayed in did not have a view, but I did not feel that this was a deficiency, after all, I did not want to pay exorbitant prices to different hotels just for the view.
