Very welcoming. Lovely relaxing vibe. Great food! Delicious mussels and home made cheesecake. Huge breakfast that doubled up as a lunch picnic on the beach. Great view of Ben More from bedroom window. Highly recommend- would love to come back.

What a beautiful place to stop to eat on a September evening while on Mull. We must of arrived just in time as it soon got very busy. There is a campsite/ caravan site next door so they get walk ins from them. It sits over looking the loch and so peaceful. The decor is lovely. Food was amazing. I tried a venison burger, first for me. Opted not to have the bun. It was so tasty with a local blue cheese on top. My husband had a burger which was very meaty. The burgers were £20 each with fries. Definitely will go back on our next visit.

Coming off a couple of expensive but well-worth-it nights in excellent accommodation with great water views on the shores of Loch Lochy we decide to pay even more to book a night here in a near £250 (room only) “double room with lake view”. Reviews looked good too. The staff were friendly, room was nicely refurbished, meal in the character-filled attached Inn was largely ok and the adjacent laundromat facility was handy. The outlook (see photo) and lack of privacy from the carpark was disappointing to say the least given the tariff..

We spent 3 nights in a large, comfortable room and had dinner here twice. What a lively place! The food was delicious and the servings generous. Staff extremely friendly. Perfect location for visiting Iona. We wished we moved closer to Tobermory for our day of touring that part of the island but we got pretty good at negotiating single track roads! Breakfast is an extra cost but there is sufficient variety for a simple continental breakfast. The special basket was tasty but disappointing given the quality of the food at the restaurant. All things considered, we’d readily stay here again.

This was a great little Scottish pub / hotel doing what it does very well. Friendly and hospitable hosts, clean and spacious rooms, good quality and generous food and a fine bar offering local beers and whiskies. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great for our stay on Mull - but The Inn made up for much of our disappointment by being such a little treasure.

We are a couple travelling around Scotland and dipping in and out of the inner islands in our campervan, and then we came across this little gem of a place. We hadn't booked, so we chanced our luck and, upon walking in, could see it was clearly busy and didn't hold out much hope of getting a seat. But there was a wonderful young lady by the name of Sarah who took care of us and offered us a temporary seat whilst we had a drink and waited for a table to become available. After a short wait, we were seated in what looked like the best seats in the house, absolutely fantastic 😀. We were then served by two excellent waiter/ waitress John and Emma,It's always great to find a place where the staff look after you and are friendly and attentive. The three of them ran the front of the house like a well-oiled machine, there a credit to the business. We must also pay our compliments to the chef and kitchen staff as the food was out of this world, and the fish and chips were probably one of the best i have eaten. My partner had the Venison burger and also said this was one of the best burgers she had eaten. The whole experience from start to finish was a delight. What a great team. If you ever find yourself on the isle of Mull, search out this place. It's a little gem.

We have just eaten dinner here and I can honestly say hands down it was the best battered Haddock I have EVER had! We're from Scotland and are fortunate enough to have eaten 'Fish & Chips' in a lot of lovely places...but this was definitely the best! The fish itself was delicious, the batter was the perfect mix of soft & crispy and the tartar sauce was amazing! Don't hesitate...get the fish and chips!

Had a fantastic 2 night stay in this lovely well run hotel , the rooms are very nicely decorated warm & cosy with fantastic views to the front . The restaurant at night is very busy which reflects how good the food is , staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Port Nan Gael to anyone it was a pleasure to stay here and hopefully be back sometime soon .

We stayed at the near by campsite, and had dinner at the Inn which is ideally placed for a short walk back. The food was great as was the service. I would recommend booking as the restaurant was full on a Wednesday night. There were plenty of options, I had the cajun chicken burger which was very tasty. The waiting staff were attentive, friendly x efficient.
