Just returned from a 5 night stay in Club La Santa. Had a wonderful time and already planning a return visit. Pros: The facilities are truly outstanding, such as the running track, CrossFit Area, Olympic swimming pools etc. Classes are plentiful and varied and the hardest part is just trying to fit everything in. We ended up attending lots of classes and trying things we hadn't tried before, such as the Ariel fitness and the SUP introduction. The morning runs are well organised and very well attended and every single member of the green team is helpful and knowledgeable. There are several different pace options and those who wish to walk can also go out in a group. We did the Volcano hike - it is a must do - brilliant. You are out for around 2.5 hours and its a lovely route up along the coast and to the top of a nearby volcano, giving great views. Everywhere is immaculately clean. Cons: Not so much a ”con” but just a few ”watch outs” We are vegan and so the vegan food options were quite limited. We didn't go hungry by any means but the menu is limited for vegan visitors. We went half board and so were eating in the buffet ”Atlántico” and each night they had 1 vegan option which always involved Heura, a meat substitute. We did eat lunch at El Lago twice and tried the vegan burger and the vegan sandwich (both again made with Heura) which were nice. The apartments dont have air con. We went in October but it was still very warm on an evening so we had to sleep with the door open and the window in the bathroom to create a breeze. As it is a very windy island, it can make for quite a noisy night but it was needed to bring the temperature of the room down. Be careful with the shower, it tended to alternate between very cool to scalding hot during use. This happened daily and i imagine is down to the sheer number of people using the water supply at the key times of the day but we just got used to dipping in and out of the water when it changed. Its a wet room style bathroom so easily done. I would say that these are small ”watch outs” and in no way took away from what was a brilliant brilliant holiday and we will 100% be return customers. In fact, every time you speak to others, they are saying how they have been 3/4/5 or more times themselves.

Stayed for two nights whilst on vacation exploring Lanzarote, paying a pretty good price for a last-minute booking. The compact hotel is very well located near the centre of Arrecife, on the coast almost directly opposite the Castillo de San Gabriel. There is no parking available at the hotel, although there is a large public 24hr underground carpark near the Arrecife Gran Hotel about a 10-minute walk away (around 30€ for a day and a half). Check in was quick and friendly, despite a late-night arrival. My room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the back streets of Arrecife. The room was comfortable although the décor was perhaps a little old. Good WIFI, but the room had only one free power socket (as the fridge had been unplugged before I arrived). The bed was fairly comfortable, some noise from the street at night, but nothing too loud. My room didn’t have aircon, which wasn’t an issue in October, but maybe an issue in the summer? Breakfast was on the terrace at the top of the hotel giving really good views; and a good selection to food choose from. Overall, a well located hotel to explore Arrecife and the surrounding area, but given the limited facilities at the hotel and lack of parking maybe better for short stays!

I didn't like that 1 week before we called and went to ask if they could change the room for one with a view of the beach and they told us that they would do it the same day we entered and then that day they had no room available and I booked there just because to have a room with a view of the beach for a birthday surprise that I wanted to do. I thought it was very bad of him.

This has been the most wonderful holiday. I'm standing here looking at The Arrecife Gran Hotel and Spa and I want so much to run back in. Its a marvellous hotel but it's the staff that are the heart if it. They are the most friendly and helpful staff that I have ever encountered. The reception is not the old counter style, it is 3 beautiful tables and comfy chairs and there are so many of the reception staff and they all seem to speak English so well. I must give a shout out for Ruth who is just starting her career as a member of the reception staff. She was courteous and friendly and helpful despite being very new to it all. Our room was an Ocean view suite and it was perfect A very large room with a sofa and coffee tables for relaxing and a table and chairs at the floor to ceiling corner glass windows showing the fabulous view of the Bay and harbour, so beautiful. Everything is automatic so when you open your door the curtains swish open to reveal the magnificent vista. Little sensor lights pop on at night to guide you to the toilet and back without all the main lights coming on. There was a bottle of tasty prosecco to greet us, a coffee machine, pods replaced everyday also a kettle but do bring your own tea bags. Two small bottles of still water are provided daily too oh , and chocolates. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the room was almost soundproof. Could fault it. Now for food. We booked B&B but when we arrived they offered us a couple of deals and we availed of both. One was book some meals at their buffet and the more you book the cheaper it becomes so we booked 4 nights which I think worked out at about €22 each per night. Then they offer a clever deal where you agree to pay a certain amount in advance to the hotel, to spend in the hotel and they give you a little credit incentive on it . For example, we paid €130 and they added €10. Brilliant idea. Breakfasts were fabulous, everything you could ever want. Warning , if like me you don't like much salt then tell the chef ' sin sal, por favor ' they use rock salt and its very strong. One of the Breakfast chefs was a wonderful lady called Anna. She was so lovely and also helped me with my Spanish every morning that she was there . The buffet meals are themed but it was all beautiful, plentiful food and not a bun fight, plenty of room. The Sky bar Blue 17 on the top floor is a must. The view are incredible and the food is very reasonably priced for such a fancy place. We didn't realise they had entertainment up there and sadly on the two occasions we went up there we missed it but never mind there is always next time. The sun lounge terrace was lovely but being lined up on beds on a terrace is not for us or the beautiful but small indoor pool when you have the beautiful sandy beach and clear sea just outside the hotel. The area is fabulous for food and drink though. The Spa was gorgeous and we had a free spa session included which was lovely but I also bo

I stayed nine nights at SENTIDO Æquora Lanzarote Suites with my husband, our three children (ages 16, 14, and 8), my sister's family (including her children, ages 2 and 1), and our dad. We usually opt for all-inclusive stays in Playa de Los Pocillos annually but have never visited this hotel. We were assigned three junior suites: two on the ground floor near the splash pool and one on the first floor (18 steps up) for my elderly dad and son. I would rate this hotel three out of five stars. This review provides an honest account of our experience. Check-in Experience When we arrived at 8 pm, there was only one staff member at the front desk handling check-ins, so we had to wait in line. The lobby was impeccably clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff member was polite but distracted, frequently interrupted by phone calls and colleagues needing assistance. Soledad, his boss, intervened several times and seemed dissatisfied with his performance. At one point, he disappeared into the back office for over 5 minutes, disappointing after a long day of travelling. Overall, the check-in experience was not very welcoming, and we were underwhelmed when we finally reached our rooms. Room Quality The rooms were excellent—extremely spacious and perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable, and daily housekeeper service was available. At check-in, we could opt for less frequent housekeeper service if desired. Free Wi-Fi was available in all rooms. However, the air conditioning was not enormously powerful, and the room could have been cooler. I have experienced better air conditioning in other hotels. The room had two sleeping areas, ideal for giving our older son his space. The main downside was the communal open bathroom area, which offered no privacy for toilet use or showers. I had to ask my son to leave the room while showering since dressing had to happen in the open. While we managed, the lack of privacy in the bathroom would not be suitable for travelling with friends or children's friends. It was an unusual setup I had never encountered in a hotel. Customer Service The animation staff at the hotel were exceptional. They tirelessly provided entertainment from early morning until late evening. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the kid’s club and especially loved the mini disco. Enes, who ran the kid’s club, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure all the children had a wonderful time. We are grateful for his efforts and the enjoyable experience he created for our kids. Sadly, the remaining staff significantly impacted my rating of this resort. The rudest staff I have encountered in all my years of travelling. No staff member stood out for their friendliness or effort to enhance our experience. Many were rude and diminished our experience. The resort's size affected the staff, making guests a low priority. It was unusual and unlike any other experience, I have had. On the third night, at the Nautilus Lounge Bar & Terrace, we enjoyed our eve

My partner and I just spent a wonderful 7-night stay at Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The resort itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and breathtaking views of the ocean. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony where we could enjoy the sunset every evening. The bed was super cozy, and we appreciated the luxurious bathroom amenities. Housekeeping did an amazing job keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. We made the most of the resort's amenities, spending many relaxing hours by the pool and pampering ourselves in the spa. The spa treatments were fantastic – we especially enjoyed the couples massage. The variety of pools meant we always found a quiet spot to unwind. Dining was a real highlight, with several restaurants to choose from, offering both local and international dishes. Each meal was delicious, and the service was always attentive. We also loved sipping cocktails at the bar with live music in the evenings. Overall, it was a perfect romantic getaway, and we can't wait to come back. If you're looking for a place to unwind in luxury and enjoy a bit of paradise, Secrets Lanzarote is definitely the place to go!

Excellent
We had a really lovely week at this hotel and it surpassed our expectations. It was a really beautifully designed hotel designed in the local style apparently and although it is big it still faint intimate and there was a lot of quiet space. We asked for a peaceful room and would certainly ask again for room 2143 which had a great balcony and sea view and a big room with lots of good storage space. The bathroom and room were immaculate although the bathroom was a little dated but renovations are taking place soon. Plenty of good quality sun beds, umbrellas and an adult as well as a mixed pool. Great programme during the day ie yoga, pilates and aqua aerobics and good quality animation at night. We used the spa most days as you have access to sauna and ice bath. We went half board as we like to go out for one meal a day and on your doorstep lots of lovely little restaurants and bars or a really nice 20-30 min walk into Puerto del Carmen which had some amazing restaurants. The food in the hotel was excellent and plenty of choice for every pallate. We don't usually go back to hotels or places but we are certainly considering a return for late sun Sept/Oct 25 as it was so good and Lanzarote is a lovely Island to explore.
Fantastic hotel. staff are exceptional. Everything about it is wonderful. The staff are kind and professional. The food is amazing. Our room was very comfortable with amazing views. It has a fabulous restaurant with a fantastic selection of food. The pool area is so calming and peaceful. The one negative is the pool beds. They are not very comfortable. They are not old in fact quite modern but there is a metal bar across the back that really hurts your back. They need soft mattresses on them. We had a wonderful holiday at this gorgeous hotel and plan to return early next year.
LLouis ConnorExtremely welcoming staff and clean reception area, every member of staff took the time to greet us and smile! The decor is well considered and provides a luxury feel. We were offered a complimentary coffee whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The room has everything you need and we had a lovely view of the Arrecife coast. The beds were comfortable as were the other amenities with bonus points for a great bathroom and powerful shower! Towards the evening we spent time on the top floor in the hotels 'Solarium' which featured a hot tub and more glorious views of the Arrecife coast. We would not hesitate to book again as we found our stay to represent excellent value!
Ok troops here we go, had a week here recently and although the appartments were very clean and tidy with them situated perfectly for main strip etc the sunbed wars ruined it for us. So appartments first, very good with huge balcony overlooking pool, clean, tidy and well maintained, staff at complex very friendly and bar etc good , access via several points around complex so no trouble if mobility an issue . So onto the sunbeds, omg, I can honestly say it was unreal to witness the greed of people, not only did it start with towels being put down the night before but they actually placed beds on top of each other to raise height, prob cause their poor knees couldnt bend that far, and at 0600 it continued, so if its a bed by pool then beware, an early riser you must be in this place. A week at Pineta in Del Carmen we had Some lovely sun mmm this cant be bad Apartments were great with a nice chilled feel A nice place for a drink and a good cooked meal Then out of the shadows they suddenly came Greedy old pensioners without any shame Armed with their towels and big pegs in hand Preparing for positon like Custers last stand And when the morning sun did appear Their work became evidently clear So heed this warning and dont be a fool You need to do night shift to lie by this pool !!!
We stayed at the Calero Hotel from Friday, 15th November, to Tuesday, 19th November 2024, as a couple. The transfer was quick and easy, taking only about 20 minutes. The hotel itself was fantastic and exceeded our expectations in many ways. Check-in was a bit slow, and there were queues at reception during most of our stay, which was the only downside to an otherwise seamless arrival. The food and drinks were excellent, with plenty of variety and no complaints at all in that department. The staff were incredibly hardworking and polite, which added to the overall enjoyment of our trip. One area for improvement would be the poolside bar during the day, which seemed under-staffed, leading to queues. However, this may have been due to the time of year (November). The hotel grounds were immaculate, and it was lovely to explore the clean and beautifully maintained surroundings. With several pools and entertainment options day and night, there was always something to do. The nearby port, just a short walk away, had charming bars and restaurants. The free shuttle to Playa del Carmen was a bonus, and the beach there was stunning. Despite some rain, the heated spa pool was a great way to relax. The weather was pleasant at around 26°C, and we didn’t need any warm clothing during our stay. One suggestion would be to include safe key charges in the room rate, as ”all-inclusive” should cover these small extras. Overall, it was a fantastic holiday, and we highly recommend the Calero Hotel.
GGuest UserIdeally located in quiet part close to old town as well as the *****. Two pool areas (one with shallow kids pool) and food available by larger pool -also small dining area just past reception (good selection for breakfast).
Pool table for older kids and small playground for toddlers onsite.
Very clean complex and friendly staff. Fully equipped kitchenette and lovely powerful shower in bathroom which I loved!
Close to lots of shops and restaurants, but relatively steep stroll downhill to beach, fine for us but could be a workout with buggy or if any mobility issues. There was on street parking outside if hiring a car. Lots of taxis around if not! We enjoyed exploring the local areas on foot after a day of sightseeing…some great restaurants close by in the old town.
No air con in the apartment that we could see (but we didn’t ask either as we stated at end January so 24 Celsius and pleasant indoors and out) - recommend checking if going at peak times.
Pools weren’t heated but nice for a dip- clean and lifeguards on duty at both between 9:30 and 6pm.
Relaxing short break at lovely complex, we’ll be back!
GGuest UserI was made feel very welcome when I arrived at Pension Magec. The hospitality I received from the management and other guests was amazing. Its a very friendly place. The property is very clean and my room was cleaned everyday. The management are extremely helpful. The management will go out of their way ensure that guests needs are met all times. Carla is lovely as are everyone else works there including Sandi the manager The view from the top veranda is stunning. The guests can sit and have a drink and chat together on the veranda. As a solo traveller you would never be lonely and its very safe. Everyone talks to each other when up on the veranda. You are made feel welcome by both management and other guests at all times. There is always someone to talk to. I felt we were like a big happy family. There is free tea and coffee at the property. I would highly recommend Pension Magec as its very central. Kind regards Anna from Ireland
MMichaelJohnthis hotel is perfect if you want easy way to get to airport the next day. there is a bus stop 5 min walk away, the buses connect all the island. the staff are efficient and polite. they helped me print my boarding pass at no charge. I didn't try the dinner buffet(half a dozen dishes)but looked good for about 18 euros. there is a big map of arrecife on the wall that you can photo and use to get around the city. we had a sea view room, recommended the view is nice.
Where do I even start with this hotel. For the life of me I can't understand why it seems to be the majority of people are raving positively about it. I was there in March and only just now getting round to writing a review. To expect people to stay and pay good money to this dreadful place is an insult to people's intelligence. We checked in and went to our room the furniture was extremely dated. The kitchen was basically falling apart and there was rust everywhere. It was disgusting. The bedroom door would not close properly as it was sticking on the floor. The curtains where falling off the living room window. We complained and had to fight to be moved. We where moved the next day and this room was no better. Doors water damaged, curtains trailing on the floor. Brown spots on the yellow curtains in the bedroom looked suspiciously blood stains. The backs of the curtains where covered on black mold. This was right beside the bed. At night we where very cold as there was only a sheet over our beds. We had to use our towels over the sheets to stay warm. There was double duvets but this was unsuitable and to heavy for single beds. At night time there was a constant banging noise, sounded like a door on the roof area. This was every night. Again the kitchen poorly maintained and very little utensils. The plug in the kitchen was also very lose. The furniture was fit for a bomb fire. Very worn and marked. We did complain but go where. Also complained to Jet2 but unfortunately everywhere was booked up. The hotel manager lady and the staff where extremely rude and just didn't want to know. The whole lack of people skills was disgustingly embarrassing for this ”hotel” It was absolutely disgusting and is no way to treat paying guests. The area around the pool was very unkept. Hopefully since my stay they have discovered what a paint brush is. Paint work of walls etc was flaking off. The pool area was not clean. I only seen them once out cleaning the area down properly with power hoses. The pool itself had algae growing around the ledges into the water. It made be gringe that parents where letting their children swim in it. The paddling pool was not very clean looking. The bottom of it looked like it was all stained by algae. I watched a cleaner use a mop and bucket to clean the tiles around the pool area. He never changed the water and dumped the dirty water into a drain beside the paddling pool. Leaving dirty water around it. Regarding the pool area it was a free for all regarding the sun Lodgers. People where expected to lift off heavy sun longers themselves. Regarding the accommodation blocks these should be condemned. The window frames don't fit the walls properly. Allowing wind etc to blow through. They don't look safe and in no way meet EU regulations. Never in my life have I stayed in such a dreadful place we just wanted to go home. I have stayed in much better hostels in my student days. Do not stay in this place. It is such a shame as it is so
The hotel is one street back from the centre of the main strip, and the beach is right there too. Being one street back seemed to be enough for it to be quiet at night. The rooms where large and very clean, I saw the cleaners cleaning one room and they pulled the furniture all out to do it. They were also well equipped- with a full size fridge- freezer, kettle, hob , microwave and coffee machine. There was also a beautiful view of the sea from my room The staff all seemed happy and where friendly. There where negatives but I think if they were improved the cost of the hotel would also increase so I will list them- but still feel it was worthy of 5 stars for the price: The food was repetitive and a bit boring- could always find something to eat but it wasn't exciting. There wasn't air-conditioning and the room in general could do with updating- the massive windows when opened made me feel a bit vulnerable as somebody could easily climb through but they needed to be opened in the evening to let the heat out.
