Clacton-on-Sea Hotels with Wi-Fi

I like to go somewhere that has some bad reviews as well as good because then I know that they were made by real people and not these companies that pay to receive good reviews. I also realise that some people will never be happy and always spend their time being negative. Here is our take on it. We arrived with an electric car, but the electric hook up didn't like us, but that was fine Morrisons was nearby and had loads! Had no trouble parking onsite, though it is £7 each 24hrs, but free to come and go and pay on exit, so don't forget that! No sign of bedbugs as someone mentioned and had a lovely premier plus room on the 2nd floor. It had a fabulous view of the sea and pier with a lovely chair to sit in. (Rm 204). Room very clean, so thanks to the pleasant friendly cleaners we met. Yes you have to step into the bath for the shower, yes no bath mat to harbour germs, so just hold on as the shower is fantastic. Breakfast was much better the 2nd day with Daniel cooking and the ladies Alison and Holly were very welcoming clearing up after us. Friendly booking in, and yes, a little trouble with the key card but that's the system and not the staffs fault! Just chill! Would definitely stay again and we are sad to leave. The Staff were amazing and really helpful.. Dan and Jen were so friendly and the room was really clean and the bed was really comfortable i want one for my own house ! …I’m going to stay here so much more now because I love it and the staff make it feel like home .. :)

The location of the hotel is fantastic-town centre, in front of the beach, sea view. Parking is alright, at the back yard. Staff is very friendly, nice and helpful, let us in 1 hour prior to official check in time. Soundproofing is good, didn’t hear our neighbours. Breakfast was lavish, fresh and tasty. In this property location sells itself. The building is tired, but luckily maintained. Curtains in the room are crying to be washed, dust is not wiped for days (if not weeks), tv was very stinky and not working, our bed was small and short for two of us (queen size I believe), water pressure in shower was too weak, carpets with all the possible stains, same as sofa, very unpleasant; waited for our breakfast for more than half an hour (though I received my vegetarian breakfast as I requested in my booking), coffee was only instant. I think, one night stay was too pricey for what it has, but overall impression is still rather good. Summary - if you want a good location with easy access to the Clacton city centre and the beach - here you go, just don’t expect a lot
