It is a really good location. You can see the Nanhu Lake when you enter from the south gate. You can see the B&B after walking about 100 meters. The environment is very beautiful. You can sit on the swing in the yard at any time at night. It is very comfortable to look at the stars when the weather is good. The environment of the room is also great. Compared with the hotels in Huangshan, I have to give a thumbs up to Huizizai Inn. First of all, the overall design of this inn is very unique, and its temperament is independent. It is themed with bamboo, tea, and ink, which are the favorites of literati. It has the cultural connotation of Anhui! Secondly, the service is also very thoughtful. The check-in lady immediately sent fruits and Tremella soup, which tasted quite good. Although there are not many choices for breakfast, the quality of each item is very high. The side dishes are delicious, the noodles and wontons have the taste of home, the tableware is clean, the aunt is kind, and most importantly, the scenery outside the window is refreshing!

The first time I lived in a house with 200 years of history! Parts of it looks like a museum, but the rooms are modernized in a nice way! Seriously, it looks like a fancy tea place or a private mansion, never expected a hotel like this! The owner lady was very nice, showed the way to the place (navigation in the village is a bit difficult for a newcomer) and helped to change the room to a single bed when heard that my friend was not coming. Very friendly approach! I would recommend this place to anyone, who would like to get an authentic experience of Hongcun village!

Room facilities: The hotel is relatively new and has a sense of design. It feels like living in an art gallery. When I checked in, the hotel just happened to light the fireplace. I roasted sweet potatoes, made tea, and ate freshly made Hui Mo Su. I can also interact with the cats in the store and rub them. It is very relaxing. The room is also very large and clean. It is equipped with a smart toilet. The toiletries are Herborist. The room is equipped with floor heating and an air purifier.

This is an awesome elegant place with great location. We travelled from Singapore and booked 3 rooms, and everyone is very happy and impressed with the stay. Need to call (or weixin) in advance to arrange for a buggy transport into the village, helpful if you have heavy luggage! The service staff are friendly and approachable. They are thoughtful in providing tea souvenir when checking out. What mars the great experience was that on my return, realized to my horror that there is no tea in the Tea-box. So, carried a tea metal box across the ocean for nothing! Did not expect such a service slip for such a top-class hotel. Regardless, will still highly recommend this place if you plan to stay in the village.

The room is very clean, there are many green plants in the yard, they are well maintained, the air is very good, and the yard is decorated very attentively.

It is highly recommended to stay at this hotel. Staying in the scenic spot is the best way to travel. The location of the B&B is very good. It is only a few dozen meters away from the main gate of the scenic spot! No need to drag your suitcase along the bluestone road! The proprietress will call me in advance on how to get to the hotel and inform me of the location of the B&B. She will also remind me that purchasing tickets on the mobile phone is cheaper than on site. Entering the scenic spot is very smooth and convenient. The room is fully equipped and the items are neatly placed. There are public areas on each floor of the B&B, where you can take photos and take photos. The light tea scent makes the environment great! Watching the light show is just downstairs at the Hu Wenguang Archway by the Mingjing Lake. I have been in Yi County for three days. This hotel is very distinctive, with a good view outside the window, the overall decoration is in Hui style, and there is an infinity pool and outdoor hot spring. I made an appointment for a travel photo shoot in the hotel (more expensive). I originally wanted to experience the hot spring and booked this hotel, but the chef said that the water in the bathtub in the room was the same as outside, so I soaked in the room.
The only flaw is the front desk brother of the restaurant. He made me wait for more than 20 minutes before he started to cook and serve me. Although it is not worth getting angry, it still affects the stay experience. The brother and sister at the front desk patiently answered my questions when I checked out and told me the brand of aromatherapy, which was considered to be a compensation.
The overall experience is very good, and the flaws do not cover the merits. If I come back to Hongcun, I will consider this hotel again.

I really like the stinky mandarin fish and the braised spareribs (stinky mandarin fish lovers will be delighted). There are also many people who come to eat there. The only thing is that the room is a little damp during the rainy season. The air conditioning and floor heating are very powerful. The supporting toiletries are very complete. Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices.
The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there.

GGuest UserMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

XXuelangyiAs an authentic Huizhou native who left home when I was young, I came to Hongcun and met Zhang Gongguan for the first time, but I was amazed by the whole ink painting Qingming. After walking through the streets and alleys, I finally found the low-key house number. I opened a small door and opened a paradise. The antique Ming and Qing Dynasty old houses, restored in the Hui-style style, and simple and elegant furniture make people feel like they have traveled through time and space and returned to the prosperous ancient Huizhou of the past. In the front hall and back yard, the centuries-old mottled walls are paired with the black and white colors of Qingming rain, but it also has a sense of vicissitudes like ”in the old days, when kings went to the hall and swallows flew into the homes of ordinary people”, it was as if they were in a Chinese ink painting. This is an old house with a history of 300 years. It is located in the core scenic area of Hongcun. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Moon Marsh. There are many types of guest rooms with different styles. Almost all of them feature Chinese retro style. The carved wooden beds, wooden couches and dressing tables are all antique designs. The calligraphy, paintings and porcelain in the room highlight the famous Hui school. The door is an antique wooden door latch. key. The facilities in the bathroom are absolutely high-end. Dyson hair dryers and Hermès bath products are both rich in history and considerate. The owner lives with his guests and has four cats, several courtyards, and a beautiful swimming pool. The guests can drink tea and relax while leaning on the garden view. The butler's service was extremely attentive. He asked about the soundproofing at night, prepared a heart-warming breakfast in the morning, took our luggage all the way from the parking lot to the CI, dragged our luggage up the narrow stairs of the old house, and used a small electric donkey to carry our luggage again before we left. Return to the parking lot. I want to say here that the wooden stairs in the old Hui-style houses are narrow and shaky, and the sound insulation between the rooms is not very good. If you come to immerse yourself in the old house life, don’t complain and pay more attention to yourself. In short, this place really made my impression of Hongcun become more beautiful and full of nostalgia. It is undoubtedly the best private hotel in the village, and it feels like a dream that I will never wake up from.

GGuest UserThe Pig’s Inn is a very cozy place that makes you feel like home. Bishan village is far away from the city so I asked the hotel for help with taxi arrangement. Manager Fang Xin (方鑫) gave me the contact to the driver who was always on time and gave me lots of tips about hiking up mount Huang. The room in the hotel was really clean and warm regardless of the very cold weather outside. The hotel staff is super nice, they waited for us with dinner till really late. As my family is really picky when it comes to food Pig’s Inn was a perfect place to eat dinner and breakfast as they made all the dishes according to the needs of my family. In the evening there was a huge spider in our room (came there suddenly), the nice woman form the hotel helped us to remove it from the room. Everything was perfect and our trip was really nice thanks to the Pig’s Inn ☺️

CChi Kwan BrainThe hotel is a brand new one. Once arrived, the hotel reception staff served with a warm smile and generously grant us free breakfast for 2 mornings. Hotel renovation looks well and the room facilities are all modern and high tech. I was particularly impressed with its WCPan which has an auto washing services for buttock. The bed linen and flooring are clean well. Environment nearby is beautiful village scene where we enjoy having a lesuire walk there. All in all, it is a very good hotel which can make you relax even you just stay in the hotel. Ha one more that is the restaurant next to the hotel where one may enjoy delicious Chinese meals. The staff there are also very nice. Eating there is just like having meals at home. I am sure I will stay in Vienna again when next time I go to huangshan.

The hotel has a beautiful environment, surrounded by flowers and green plants. Sitting in the outdoor teahouse to enjoy the scenery and drink tea is also a great enjoyment. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the room facilities are also very advanced and modern.
