Interlaken Marco Hostel

Overall, the pictures on ******* website and actual room are completely different. The room smell urine everywhere. Dirty and the worse is there are only 1 toilet and 2 shower for avout 15 people. Very very bad.

Just go ahead and find somewhere else to stay. This property is just dirty all around. The bathrooms are gross and outdated. The showers have black mold and dirty towels on the floor that are being used at bath mats. They leave trash in the hallway. The pictures don’t look anything like the rooms. I thought we would have a spacious room and bathroom. Our room barely fit a double bed and we shared one bathroom between 8 rooms downstairs. I wish we booked a hotel room instead. Also checking in, you have to go to another hotel to get your keys but they don’t tell you that beforehand so it is confusing. They also need signs that say when quiet hours are because people were having phone calls in the hallway at 10pm. The only good thing is that it was in a central location and close to the train station.

A shame of a hostel! We got a room in the basement, without heat A6, next to a dirty kitchen, which was wall to wall with our room, so you could hear all the noises. Dirty toilet, I didn't even dare to take a shower. The entrance door was wide open, both in front and behind, at all hours, which did not give you a sense of security at all. The only advantage is that it is very close to the Interlaken West train station, otherwise only minuses! Do not recommend at all!My 8-year-old girl was stung by bed bugs, I think, by some insects anyway.

I did not like atmosphere, our room was dirty and we had bugs (yeah even bedbugs). Walls we’re pretty ligth so sounds can be heard easily, thats not problem but since it’s busy area with other tourists it was loud during nigth and also morning. Pretty much only good thing was that bed was soft but since there were bugs it wasnt that nice but it was cheap too.

The house was not what we imagine. The property at the front looks old. The door barely looks like it closes. There are many stairs to go to the main rooms upstairs. We had to share the restroom which we didn’t know was going to happen. One of the restrooms had water in the floor. After all that We had a good stay but it didn’t feel like the house was worth what we paid.
