Wayfarer Inn

We stayed for three nights in two different rooms. The rooms, shower, etc were nice and clean. I would also recommend the breakfast. The personnel was great and very kind. I don't place 5 stars because the matresses and the wifi were not good at all.

The Wayfarer has a great location but the level of cleanliness really lets it down. The shower room had very bad black mildew with a horrible lingering smell. We were shown two rooms and both had the same issue. The windowframes had also not been cleaned properly and were also growing mildew. We raised our concerns to the management at checkout and with follow-up communication and they simply blamed the age of the building and didn’t acknowledge that some deep cleaning (or just some normal cleaning in the cases of the windows) would have made a big difference. It was a real shame because otherwise the room was large, furniture good, view nice, location great. We stayed at 6 other properties as we were walking the coast trail. The others were spotless (and in fact less expensive). The Wayfarer let us down and lets itself down.

This is a fantastic pub in the beautiful estuary village of Instow . The pub serves several real ales, all beautifully kept. The Sunday roast is magnificent but make sure that you book. Our family has been there on many occasions. The staff are very attentive and professional and Debbie and Ellie made our visit very special. Chris , the landlord often cooks the roast himself and takes a special pride in it. The menu is extensive and everything is excellent . Highly recommended.

What a find! Beautiful rooms, clean, spacious, and we even had a sea view. The food was awesome, well presented, freshly prepared, and generous portion sizes. Thanks to Neve, Marnie, Parker & Debs for going above and beyond. We'll be back! X

Great room overlooking sea well equipped amazing location on seafront staff were very helpful breakfast was full English cereal and toast could improve by having fruit and yogurt the shower was great shampoo provided would have liked conditioner too but that’s just a tiny thing this really is a delightful property loved it would highly recommend

My wife and I visited for an evening meal and drink and when we arrived, we were greeted and seated by Raeni. We were then, given our food menus and a wine menu. The specials board took my fancy in the end. It all sounded amazing, but my wife chose the fish pie from the evening menu. I took Mickys advice and had the Crab linguine from the specials menu and shared the muscles with my wife for a starter. The food was absolutely spectacular! We loved every bite. The portion size was perfect and the atmosphere was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back again! Thanks to the team - Micky, Raeni and Rav… not forgetting Xavier. You all played your part in making our night, one to remember - you are all a credit to the business! I highly recommend a visit to the Wayfarer Inn. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered the door. The food is amazing and great value for money along with the drinks available.

Wow! What service! We were welcomed and Micky and co were super helpful and friendly. The food was scrummy and the live music by Jacob was such a treat. The bedroom was lovely and had wonderful views. I will definitely stay again. Thank you! 🤩

Passing thru instow we popped in to the Wayfarer Inn, we had some wonderful mussels and sticky ginger pudding, great stuff, staff were super friendly and well presented, of note Erin and Alfie, extremely eager to help, great decor, good beer, excellent food and it didnt break the bank. 10/10, thank you to ALL the staff for a most excellent evening 🙂

Just came home from a two night break at the Wayfarer Inn where I stayed with my two sisters. We were pleasantly greeted by a young girl at the bar Neve, who checked us in and said if we needed anything just to ask. The room was lovely, clean and warm with plenty of water, tea, coffee etc. There was such a friendly atmosphere in the bar with locals and staff alike and we even got to see some live music on the Saturday evening. The breakfasts and evening meal we had were good and plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. If you want to experience a local, quirky, welcoming, friendly place to stay or have a meal and drink you will not be disappointed. Thank you Sue Linda and Kay.
