"The room was clean and tidy. It was really cold in Dali during the May Day holiday due to the rain, but luckily the air conditioning had a heating function, which was great! It's very close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, about a four-minute walk. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, helping us carry our luggage both ways. When we left, they even gave us flower cakes!"

"The hotel offers a lot of services which add value to the stay experience. There were self-serve fresh coffee and a variety of herbs/ flower tea selection at the lobby, free laundry services, afternoon high tea and night dessert. We really appreciate passing our clothes which required laundry to the staff and return to collect freshly laundry clothes. The staff is reachable easily via WeChat. They also offer complimentary pick up from the train station. If I really have to pick on something - there is no view in the room I stayed in even though it was bright and spacious. Overall highly recommend a stay."

"The first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits.
The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle.
The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room – soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing.
The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive.
If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again."

"After exploring much of Yunnan, arriving at this B&B in Dali felt like discovering the most meticulously designed place of my entire trip. I had initially shortlisted a few B&Bs online, but ultimately chose to stay within the ancient city rather than by the sea, primarily drawn by its charming courtyard and duplex rooms. To my delight, it exceeded my expectations. The courtyard, though compact, was incredibly serene, and the decor was very tasteful. All the amenities provided were of premium quality. We booked two rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs room even featured a specially installed electric blind for stargazing. It was evident that the entire B&B had been thoughtfully designed with attention to every detail. The selection of food and beverages provided was also excellent, and they even delivered sweet soup to our rooms in the evening. The breakfast spread was very generous, offering both Chinese and Western options – a definite highlight. However, the taste of the morning rice noodles and Ersi could be improved."

"Stayed for 3 nights in the moon journey room which has 2 rooms around end of March 2026. The hotel is housed in a centuries old building on a small lane inside the Dali ancient city. Cars can go in the lane but with difficulty especially in the day when the lane is crowded.
We received warm welcome from the reception when we arrived and the manager brought us through a short tour and intro of the old building which was formerly a district governor house. There are wear and tear as expected of old building but still much well maintained.
Rooms were large, we have the whole floor on one side of the house to ourselves. Rooms were clean, comes with free drinks and water. Only 1 toilet and washroom. The room comes with a tea area.
Free tea and snacks were provided for one of the days and the hotel provides a one way transfer which you can use to go to the hotel or to the airport. Aiso free breakfast served local style.
Location wise, this is inside the ancient city so it is convenient to go anywhere from here.
If you love staying in old houses or looking for unique stay experience, this is recommended."

"Overall, my stay was incredibly satisfying. The hotel's environment is beautiful; every corner is a picture-perfect spot. The room layout is also very well-designed. We booked a family suite with a sliding door, which was really convenient for separating spaces when traveling with a child. There's a shuttle bus service for coming and going, and the front desk staff were warm and attentive. Every aspect of our experience exceeded expectations. "A hidden gem guesthouse by Erhai Lake in Caicun! The room was clean and bright, with a cozy natural wood decor. The bedding was super soft, making for a really relaxing stay. Although the bathroom had a squat toilet, it wasn't a big issue, especially given the amazing value for money. You can't be too picky with a room costing just over a hundred yuan right by Erhai Lake. The best surprise was the coffee shop on the first floor – perfect for grabbing a cup first thing in the morning. Erhai Lake is just a few steps away, making it super convenient for walks and watching the sunrise. Staying here in Dali was truly wonderful!"

"The owners are incredibly kind, and there's a big, adorable dog at the inn. Although it's located within the ancient town, cars can drive right up to the entrance, making access very convenient. We even got to set off some small fireworks on the rooftop on New Year's Eve, which made for a really happy trip!"

The breakfast spread was amazing, especially the beef and omelets. I was surprised it's served until noon.
Electric scooters are available for rent right next door, which is super convenient for a leisurely ride along Erhai Lake.
The stay was quiet and relaxing. The entertainment options like curling, foosball, and billiards were all great too.

GGuest UserI've lost count of how many times I've stayed at Meishan Inn. It's truly my favorite inn in Dali Ancient City!
The location is superb, extremely close to all the fun spots around Renmin Road and the ancient city, yet it's incredibly quiet at night, not noisy at all. The owner's service is incredibly thoughtful and meticulous; any questions or requests are handled perfectly. The inn itself is beautifully decorated, making it a perfect place to unwind and relax. I could easily spend an entire afternoon doing nothing but sitting in the courtyard. I genuinely recommend everyone to stay here!

AAdib0313The location of the hotel is perfect — you can walk out the hotel and enter the old town with brightly lights all around and gathering of people and shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean and very unique designed with flowers and koi pond, outside seating area. The main reason to book this place would be the host. She was very helpful and is there to solve any issue or concern you have. I had issue with my eSIM network and wanted to cancel and move to a new location and she happily agreed and allowed it but also provided a solution later which made me book the place again! Amazing stay with lovely host.

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews, but I simply couldn't resist for this hotel – it's absolutely exceptional in every single aspect. The complimentary airport and train station transfers are a huge plus, and the service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic. They proactively help with all your luggage, big or small. The transfer vehicles are also very comfortable and spotless. Upon check-in, everything in the room is free except for the red wine – instant noodles, drinks, beer, water, coffee, yogurt, and Yunnan black tea are all complimentary. They bring a generous amount of fresh fruit daily, and there's 24-hour rice noodle service, which is a lifesaver for anyone not accustomed to local food; you'll never go hungry. Every evening, there's also tremella soup available. The front desk even has complimentary snacks, fruits, and flower cakes for guests to enjoy. And the room itself? Speechless. The videos and photos on their website are an exact, 1:1 representation of the actual rooms – absolutely no photo trickery. What you see is precisely what you get. The room is impeccably clean, and the array of amenities is extensive. My parents are usually quite picky about hotels, but they absolutely adored this one, praising everything from the room facilities to the balcony views and the spaciousness of the suite. They insisted that on their next trip to Dali, they must stay here again. And most importantly, the staff – from the front desk to the transfer drivers, the F&B team, the ladies who help with luggage, the gentlemen who deliver rice noodles and tremella soup at night, and the three cleaning ladies – everyone is incredibly polite, enthusiastic, and friendly. The owner of this hotel is truly fortunate to have assembled such a fantastic team. The hotel's location, combined with the suite facilities and the wonderful staff, makes for a top-tier experience. I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone visiting Dali *must* stay at this hotel at least once – it's absolutely worth every penny!

The staff member was very friendly and helped me with my takeout orders multiple times. They even offered complimentary late-night dessert. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

AAnonymous UserAfter comparing a few options, we chose this B&B. Although it was a bit pricier, it offered great value for money. The location is superb, right by the Erhai Lake ecological corridor. The staff were attentive and enthusiastic, even reminding us about travel precautions beforehand. They proactively picked us up in a golf cart when our taxi dropped us off at the alley entrance. They even provided fresh milk as a thoughtful goodnight gesture. The sticky-rice scented Pu-erh tea in the lobby was delicious, and they offered various amenities. They patiently answered all our questions, making for an excellent experience!

Beautiful scenery, the vibrant colors of Yunnan! Thank you to the butler for the attentive service! This is my first review on Ctrip, and I genuinely think this hotel is excellent! While my experience exploring Dali Ancient City was rather lukewarm, this hotel left a lasting impression.

HHidefanHad a fantastic stay! The guesthouse is just a few minutes' walk from the South Gate of the old town and not far from the 'station bus' stop to Lijiang – easily walkable even with luggage. It's also on the C2 Old Town bus route; you can flag one down for 2 yuan to get to Cai Village and see Erhai Lake. The guesthouse is located on a street full of restaurants, so dining out was super convenient. The room was spacious and very clean, complete with a smart speaker. The landlady was incredibly nice; we had a bit of a snag and didn't arrive until 11 PM, but both the owner and landlady were waiting for us and even helped with our luggage – truly touching! I'll definitely recommend this place to friends. Excellent value for money, plus a few beautiful photos of Erhai Lake from New Year's Day!

You can take pictures on the rooftop, which is good for physical strength. There is also breakfast in the morning, which is made by their local aunt, and it's super delicious rice noodles. Unlimited refills. It's also very convenient to go out in the town. When you walk out, you will see Yang Liping's Sun Palace, and on the other side is Nanzhao Fengqing Island.

人人蔘小王子I'm from Taiwan, and as soon as I entered the lobby, I felt the service of the owners. The weather was cold and there was heating ❤️. Sitting on the window sill of the accommodation, I could listen to the music from the bar opposite, which was great. It was also very convenient to go to the morning market for breakfast the next morning.
