Ate here after a day walking. We did book, but it didn't seem to be necessary. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Had never heard of lamb pinwheels, but were told it was a Yorkshire dish, they were delicious. We are happy to recommend this pub.

Great price for a lovely stay. The room was clean and well laid out. The bed was comfortable and the shower was huge. We ate there in the evening and the room came with free breakfast. Both meals were really nice. The pub has a large sunny beer garden which we used and the staff were all great- very helpful

Stayed for 2 nights for our Wedding Anniversary. Food & drink wonderful although a little expensive. Friendly, Helpful staff. We settled our bill each evening but on leaving we were presented with a bill for outstanding drinks. (Obviously we thought we had settled up. Hadn't kept our receipts so had no proof.) There was a party of golfers who were very loud, left the restaurant at dinner & breakfast, went to our room but we could still hear them as our room was above the restaurant. Lovely food & staff but too noisy & expensive so wouldn't return.

The Sheaf Burger is the most delicious burger I have ever eaten. Fact! Fresh, high- quality ingredients and beautifully presented. Side order of massive onion rings. After a walk up Ingleborough I was really hungry but the portion size almost defeated me. The waitresses were really friendly and were very welcoming to our party of three people plus two dogs. We all had an excellent meal. My Labrador slept for the whole meal in the sunshine on a big windowsill - she said The Wheatsheaf Inn is paw-fect!!

We visited for a meal on a bank holiday Monday whilst staying in the village. We had booked a table in advance. On arrival it was busy at the bar and there seemed to be only 3 staff working in this area. Once seated with our drinks, our oldest daughter was very impressed by the music playing in the background. Family of six and we all had something different from the menu. There are vegan and vegetarian options which was a bonus for us. All meals were yummy and there was plenty on our plates. A little more pricey than other pub grub. However, we felt it was good value. Noticed that the pub had games, jigsaws and colouring for younger children and that they were advertising a pub quiz.

A good value hotel close to the town centre. We stayed for a couple of nights whilst walking Ingleton falls. All the staff throughout our trip were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was well cooked and coffee plentiful. The drinks in the room with Colombian coffee bags was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well throughout our stay. Our room was at the front of the property so if you sleep with the windows open it could potentially be noisy. If I had to give some negative points it would be that the hotel interior is looking “tired” and would benefit from redecorating and new carpets throughout. Would I stay here again? The answer would be yes.

Came to the restaurant part of the hotel as options in the village are limited on Mondays and Tuesdays for food and we were staying at a B&B not far away. Thankfully they had space as we hadn't booked a table. Very comfy, light and spacious. Prompt , pleasant service where our drinks were brought to the table as well as food and condiments. We ordered meat and chicken burgers. The meat burger was divine and full of flavour. The chicken burger while tasty was a little bit tough for chicken. Altogether a nice place and just slightly unlucky with the chicken burger.
