I recently stayed at the Omni Hotel for two nights and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Upon arrival, I was shocked to find extensive renovations underway, something that was not disclosed on the website. This lack of transparency denied me the chance to select another hotel. When I expressed my concerns to the front desk, no accommodations were offered. On my first morning, I requested additional towels, and while I was told they would be brought right up, they never arrived. There was no follow-up or explanation regarding any delay with housekeeping. On the second day, I received a call informing me that the water would be shut off from 10 PM to 6 AM, meaning no access to the bathroom overnight. Again, when I asked about possible accommodations, the only option provided was a refund. Being from out of town, a refund wasn’t a solution for the immediate issue, as I was essentially stranded. While I was able to secure alternative lodging, the inconvenience of having to move was compounded by the hotel’s lack of communication and preparedness. It seemed the hotel failed to consider the broader implications for guests like myself—whether I had the financial means to relocate or not. While the staff were friendly, they are merely front-line workers carrying out the company's poor decisions. It’s evident that this is an overall company issue, and I find it absurd that the hotel chose to continue operations during such chaotic renovations rather than temporarily closing to get its affairs in order. I will not stay at this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to my family, friends, or colleagues.
