Mirage World Hotel - All Inclusive

Thank you Charlie and the girls. The Turkish bath is a really luxury. I had the deluxe package and last day package. The girls doing Turkish bath, facials and massage are fantastic. I came out feeling so relaxed. You go and try this Turkish bath

An absolute dump. Dirty rooms, grubby bedding, cockroaches in the corridor. Our room was left open after housekeeping cleaned. Unbelievably rude staff. We couldn’t wait to get home. EasyJet should be ashamed to represent this place. Strange that they respond to bad reviews with ‘we’re glad you had a great stay’ rather than actually address the issues.

Mirage World was not our choice of hotel but did get placed here due to our original hotel having an early closure. The hotel is located in a great spot walking distance from the beach shops,restaurants and bars and a quick hop onto the bus into town. The grounds are lovely and kept clean and tidy. The disappointment started when arriving at our room which catered for a family of four. Our tooth brush holder was thick of mould which had clearly been sat there for a very long time which was also cracked. Half a toilet roll which had been used from the previous guests i understand waste but there was no replacement which continued through to the whole week we had no toilet paper we asked reception which they brought us one but none for the rest of the holiday we had to buy some from the shops. Air con and tv both broken pieces just left on top of both devices. Windows were cracked and broken and skirting boards broken and rotten and mould just painted over on the walls, the sofa bed was also like sleeping on a rock. Cleanliness of our room did not improve as all the cleaner did was replace the towels and re use our bed sheets that we had for the whole week no mopping or wiping down was done or cutlery taken from our room, could not walk on the room floor at the end of the week without shoes very disappointed. The best feature of the room was the mini fridge. Male staff had made me feel very uncomfortable as were constantly staring at me approaching me whispering in my ears and asking for my social media accounts and would go in for inappropriate hugs touching my waist telling me how beautiful i am and they really like me. This made me not want to visit the bars and eating spots being starred at and talked about while eating not an enjoyable experience i was also asked to go for a walk with security when he finished his shift i do not feel this is a safe environment for females. Food was also very disappointing as the same stuff was put out daily very bland none tasteful repeated food ended up eating out. The hotel grounds itself had lots to offer from massages,tattoo shop,supermarket and shisha rental the entertainment team were fantastic every night and great with the children its a shame other areas has really let down this hotel would not re visit.

This hotel has a great location with a beautiful setting. We booked a Deluxe room in Block D which was nice, good spacious bathroom. Unfortunately we had no hot water for the first 4 days, when we reported it we were fobbed off by the receptionist. The cleaners were very good and thorough. The beds were comfy enough but only having a thin blanket to sleep with was a little annoying. Would suggest they provide Duvets out with the summer months. A family member stayed in a family room in block C which was dreadful. Very dated and barely room to swing a cat. Not very clean, lots of defects. Avoid block C at all costs. The majority of the staff were very pleasant but some were very rude. The pool areas were good, the pools themselves were freezing. Sunbeds were very old and need upgrading. The food was fine, breakfast not so much. We were AI and the drinks were very good! The desserts were fantastic! The hairdressers on site is fantastic, special mention to Hassan the manager who is lovely! The offer a number of beauty treatment at very reasonable prices compared to the UK. The vast percentage of guests at the hotel were Russian. Bar a few, thry were very rude, pushing in queues at meal times and just generally not very friendly. This is no fault of the hotels. The hotel has great potential but needs upgrading. It is unlikely we would stay at the Mirage World Hotel again as there are much better hotels at similar prices in the area.

We had a room in c block. It is in need of updating, especially on the corridors, skirting boards hanging off, needs painting, needs new carpets. The room was better. Only real issue in the room was a dodgy step into the bathroom. Very uneven edge, the tiling just stopped, leaving a sharp edge. The cleaners were very good, the room was cleaned whenever we asked. The food was good quality, but like most all inclusive's it gets a bit samey and boring. The location of the hotel is fantastic, surrounded by beautiful hillsides. The pool was freezing. There were loads of sunbeds though and 3 pool areas to choose from. Went to the spa and had a Turkish bath which I really enjoyed. Charlie from the spa was a good laugh, always coming out with a few stories when he passes by. The staff were helpful and friendly. The entertainment was ok, let down by the miss mirage world competition, Very old fashioned 1 of the contestant was very clearly uncomfortable and ended up walking off stage. On the whole it was an ok stay, just a few minor details would have made this a 4 or 5 star rating.

Well, interesting week at the Mirage world hotel. Although we had a fantastic time - primarily due to location and varied food being available at pretty much all times. There were however some very disappointing points and some quite alarming. Bad points: - hotel room in block C was an absolute nightmare to try get any sleep in. Can hear everything going in through thin walls and people walking through hallways can be felt and heard as if they are in the room. As this is a kid friendly hotel we had to deal with being awoken regularly by drunk guests and kids running. - the beds are rock solid, generally returning home with back pain between all four of the guests on our journey. - limited vegetarian options and limited drink options - there was a rat running around the snack bar which serves hot food through the day - the gym was quite disgusting. Most equipment broken and certainly not cleaned in months. - the ‘pool’ and ‘darts’ was not available unless you brought your own equipment Good points: - very friendly staff, always very happy and the entertainment team are good fun to chat with - entertainment was very varied and some was fantastic - specially the Kenyan acrobats - very varied food options for meat eaters and you can get food at pretty much anytime during the day. - when air con broke on day 1 we had it fixed almost immediately, again reflecting great staff. So, mixed opinion. If you are not a very heavy sleeper I would say avoid this hotel. Although there were some fantastic points, sleeping is pretty important to enjoy the full holiday and we spent most of it tired.
