Quality Inn Huntersville Near Lake Norman

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The hotel is run-down, the staff is rude, and the manager cares nothing for his customers. I had a confirmed reservation, showed up at the hotel, and was told they had no room for me. I've had this happen before (when a hotel is overbooked) and their management arranged for accommodations nearby. Standard operating procedure for reputable hotels. Not here. The manager (who wasn't even there) told me over the phone that he wouldn't help me find alternative lodging. Give this place a wide berth unless you're into dilapidated buildings and horrendous customer service.

First let me say that Nijee and Larry are the best male workers I've met in a long time They were professional, kind,speedy and went over and beyond the call of duty. I also want to say to the big white guy that picks up the trash faithfully every morning, was also professional and very polite and not once did we see trash all over the place when stepping out the room. My family and I loss almost everything and had to move we stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks. The breakfast was always on point and the smell walking in the place was always pleasant. S/O to Ms Ann her staff was on point with Cleannnn everything. I had the pleasure of meeting the Manager and GM and both had big personalities and was a pleasure meeting each and every person. This is a great hotel with amazing individuals and I'm blessed to have met them all. Thank you The Young Family

The room stink of urine don’t know if it’s from them allowing dogs in the room I was so uncomfortable. Management would not allow me to change rooms the walls are dirty the curtains are dirty housekeeping doesn’t clean throughout just collecting the towel. The breakfast room was dirty no hot water I had the room was shut down at 630 in the morning it’s not recommended to go to this hotel

Check-in was easy as I reserved the room prior to getting there on of of those discount websites. The room had a king bed with four pillows and coffee in the room. There was also an Iron and board along with good cable and WiFi. The bed was comfortable and the HVAC worked well. The shower and restroom were very good. They had a small continental breakfast selection along with biscuits and gravy and waffles. Not a bad stay for the money as it also got me outta the Charlotte morning traffic as I was 25 miles north of town, heading north.

I stayed here over Thanksgiving and picked this place because it offered smoking rooms. The room was very small with just enough space for a bed. No chair to sit in other than the office type chair against the small desk. The location was convenient and extremely loud. It is right beside an interstate. Also, the other guests are loud. I'm pretty sure there was a wrestling match going on in the neighboring rooms at 3 in the morning with loud bangs, doors slamming shut and people banging on doors. I'm not sure what was going on, but I didn't feel very good about it. Also, the drink machine had been completely vandalized. Somebody used significant force to rip out the dollar bill validator and the coin slots. I'm surprised somebody could do that kind of damage without being noticed by other guests and management, especially since there is a camera pointing in that direction. So the long and short of it is that we didn't get anything resembling a good nights rest and didn't feel entirely safe. We checked out the next morning even though we had reserved two nights. Interestingly I received a receipt showing my check out time as being a full day after I checked out so I was charged for two nights when I only stayed one night. I sent an email to management explaining the situation but received no response. The room was reasonably clean and the shower did have good water pressure. The bedframe had metal pieces sticking out from the side of the box spring by a couple inches which is dangerous and did cause a minor injury to my wife. Nobody expects jagged metal pieces to be sticking out from the bottom of the bed.

The mirror was filthy we had not even half a roll of toilet paper with no extra rolls in our room. The back of the store stated you can have a rollaway bed for $10 but I was told the weren’t available. Which wouldn’t have been a problem if they had the rooms we reserved over a month ago causing us to have to try to fit more people than possible in our rooms.

Our rooms weren't right next to each other as we'd asked upon booking months prior and at check in, Power was out as we arrived so we had to wait a while before we could get up to our rooms, the bed looked like someone had slept in it before hand with how wrinkled the sheets were, and the bathroom didn't look clean due to residue and spit marks from someone brushing their teeth in front of the bathroom mirror, not to mention there wasnt even a half roll of toilet paper for us to use. Overall not a good impression upon walking in or for our overall stay.

The worst stay we have ever had in a hotel. This Quality Inn room had a broken toilet seat, looked like stink bugs on the ceiling, TV did not work, one light did not work, and one side of bed looked like someone had slept in in prior to us. The traffic Noice from the road is also pretty loud. The front desk lady who waited on us was pretty sketchy, she added her email address to our room rental form and said she always uses hers when a customer doesn't give one and was her eyelash co and seemed very strange and made her take it off, I would not recommend this place.

The cleaning staff barely touched the room. They left an open used bar of soap in the bathroom.. everything in the breakfast area is broken. No one looks after it they just put it out and leave. It was worst breakfast ever. I would never leave a sign in the lobby that says review us on Tripadvisor with this kind of service.
