The parent-child room is quite large, and the two beds, one large and one small, are also very large and comfortable. The large balcony outside the room faces Taiping Lake, and there is a small swing. It is very comfortable to sit on the balcony when the sun comes out. The housekeeper is very considerate. It was still raining heavily when we arrived. We didn't know that we had to go to another building to get the items we needed. As a result, the housekeeper ran twice to get the electric heater and bathrobes for us. It was really troublesome. The hotel is very close to the Taiping Lake scenic area, and it is also convenient to find food around.

There are many types of breakfast in the morning, which are fresh. Facilities: I have set this pool room, will release water in advance to turn on the air conditioner, and the pool water will be changed for each guest. This is really a point. This time I came mainly to play in the water. The speedboat surfing is really exciting. The price is not expensive. It is recommended. The owner of the hotel took us to play with the paddle board. I looked for several hotels in advance, but they were either too expensive or in a bad location. Finally, I chose Huyu, which was reasonably priced. I drove there from Nanjing during the Qingming Festival. The housekeeper took me there. They said it was in the villa area, and each building was three stories high. I lived on the second floor. As soon as I opened the door and window, I could see Taiping Lake. Although there was a building in front, it didn't affect me. There was a refrigerator and washing machine in the house, and the room was also very large. It would have been better if I had brought a pot and cooked by myself. The environment of Taiping Lake is good. I like quiet places.

Oops, the second time I came to Taiping Lake, I staggered the weekend. I have lived in other nearby apartments before. When I first came, I didn’t know. I knew that the outside of the apartment was almost the same. What difference can the apartment make? I only knew this square when I lived in. The angle of this lake view is really good. Their home is a little more expensive than the nearby one, but it is also worth the money. The lake view and service are there. It is much stronger than the previous one. The facilities are also very perfect. Drink a little beer at night and watch a movie. It is really great!

In the impression, Huizhou B&B must be the kind of dim lighting, a little afraid of feeling. But the light at this homestay is very bright after entering, and the lights at night make me feel brighter. I took a lot of photos and prepared to bring them to the elderly at home. CchenwlPerfect stay at J.Mountain for family trip. Available in Trip.com. Our stay period in summer season (consider off peak?). Prior to stay, the staff are very prompt in helpful Q and A. Services are exceedingly good, excellent and accomodating. All staff are friendly, approachable, and careful to details. Sharing local culture and history, and place of interest. Outstanding concierge service. Our stay include Tea appreciation, sumptuous dinner (2 choices), and hearty breakfast (2 choices). We were given complimentary drinks at bar, and alternative dishes to met dietary requirement. Very useful that hotel provide Hotel-Train station transfer. service, and other short distance ride to Huangshan hiking entrance (saved a lot of time). Staff helped us booked our Cableway tickets which saved us time to queue for tickets and avoid buying wrong tickets. Very spacious open concept, clean and modern room and furnishings like king size bed, large Sofa, round Table TV. Balcony with lush tranquillity view of nature full of mountainous greenery and waterfall. Sound of nature (cicada) and fortunately room comes with good sound proofing sliding door. Bath tub, shower area, and WC with build in sensor and biget spray. Standard Amenities are provided. Electric source is China 2-pin 3-pin plug standard and USB. Hotel is located within the Huangshan park (?). Saving us time in getting clearance at Park security office as the Driver brought us through the security checks with ease. We felt like VIP. It rained when we reached up at ‘Yuping’ cableway. Hotel staff offered us rain coat. We have a skilful driver to transport us safely form our Hotel-Train station transfer.

Located at an elevation of around 1800 meters above sea level, reaching the hotel was an adventure in itself. We took a cable car followed by a two-hour scenic hike through the breathtaking mountain trails. Huangshan is famous for its stunning landscapes, with jagged peaks, ancient pine trees, and a mystical sea of clouds—everything here feels like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting. The hotel’s facilities and service went beyond all our expectations. Despite its remote location, everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort. The manager, (Miss. Song Shulin) ,in particular, was incredibly attentive, helping us with everything we needed. Their dedication made our stay truly special. Our room was on the fifth floor, and while there was no elevator, the stairs were not difficult to climb. The view from our room was absolutely worth it! From the window, we could see the mountains and dense forest stretching into the horizon, a sight that left us speechless. The room itself was cozy and well-equipped, with cold and hot water working perfectly, making our stay even more comfortable in the chilly weather. The temperature was around -1°C during our visit, but the natural beauty and serene atmosphere more than made up for the cold. Surrounded by pine trees and the crisp mountain air, the location felt like a peaceful retreat far from the bustling world. I cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone planning a visit to Huangshan Mountain. It’s not just a place to stay but a once-in-a-lifetime experience that combines the magic of nature with warm, heartfelt hospitality. A must-visit!

The driver of the carpool from Hongcun to Tangkou did not send us to the door of the B&B. The owner came to pick us up. He also sent us to the entrance of Huangshan at 5 o'clock the next day. The boss really worked hard. The driver from Huangshan to the high-speed rail station was also contacted by the boss. He is really responsible We had dinner at the B&B. All five dishes were delicious and the price was very affordable. I was very satisfied The scenery in front of the B&B is very good and it looks good for taking pictures

GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

GGuest UserLocation = Great location. It is at Tangkouzhen. The hotel itself has a restaurant within its premise. There are mini markets nearby for you to stock up on snacks and other food stuff and beverage. It is about 30 minutes bus ride to Huangshan. Cleanliness = Excellent. Everything is in order. It has a smart system where the drapes are opened and shut with a touch of a button. The rooms are spacious and everything you need in a room is there and there was not once we need to call the helpdesk. Service = Excellent. There is a manager who is very hospitable that gave us a lot of information on the food and weather and the preparation for the Huangshan trip. There is also a tour agent who helped to arrange for the transportation to and from Huangshan which is also very helpful and patient. Facilities = Excellent. There is a laundry room with dryer without additional charge. There is a massage service available in case you need it after Huangshan hike. The restaurant's food is tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful in helping us to book the transport to Tunxi and back. There were 5 of us so, if we used the taxi we would need to book 2 but they suggested and helped us to get a 7-seater. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here.

SSandraThe owner/staff was very helpful and friendly. The room is big, nice, and clean. the whole area exceed our expectations. When it was dinner time, it was a bit hard to get a taxi. They offer options to have dinner at their restaurant but we chose to still go downtown for dinner. And ended up with them delivering us downtown with the hotel’s car. You can borrow hiking sticks for your hike and store your luggage there. They offer tour guide for the Huangshan scenic area (with separate fee) and free shuttle to the bus station in the morning

I would give it 90 points: 40 points are for the scenery and culture of Hongcun; 20 points are for the unique food of Huizhou. ; 30 points must be given to the B&B ”Thatched Cottage” where I stayed. I have never stayed in a B&B while traveling, and I particularly like this place! Thatched Cottage did it! In addition to enjoying free pick-up and drop-off, antique-style houses, considerate service, and free room upgrades, the ”thatched cottage” gives you the feeling of home and the warmth between people that a hotel cannot give, just like no matter where you are. No matter how late you play outside, your home will always leave a door open for you! The remaining 10 points are my own regrets, regrets that the vacation was too short, regrets that the time went too fast, and regrets that I couldn't take a photo with my ”family”! [呲呲][呲呲][呲呲] Although there are regrets, it is also satisfactory! Once the agreement is made, there will be no obstacles in the way. We will meet again someday!

VValeriaMIf you are planning to visit Yellow Mountains (Huangshan) Shanshui Boutique hotel is conveniently located as it is just 25 min drive (by taxi) from high speed train station, also easy travel to the Yungpu cable car (about 45-60min) to access the Mountains, and less than 40 min to get to Xidi ancient vilage. The architecture is a must, you can appreciate the old facade mingled with the new avant garde design that faces the river and the swimming pool. It also has plenty spaces designed to relax while drinking some tea, coffee, etc as well as a playground -we always thank when traveling with small kids-. It also has a spacious library room where you can relax reading a book, playing cards or just having a cup of coffee. The swimming pool is also key attraction specially if you are lucky with weather. Breakfast is buffet with a very good mixture of Chinese and western options available. The hotel is situated conveniently near the promenade adjacent the river, cobbled stoned shopping street and Tunxi old street. But the best of all for us was Jerry, he personally guided us to visit some village nearby and also help with the Mountain tour suggestions. The staff also help us with some suggestions to eat local food nearby. So we definitely recommend staying in this beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff and service in English and Chinese.
