Hotels Near Thousand-monk Kitchen Range in Huangshan

The hotel exceeded expectations. It is located halfway up Huangshan Mountain, close to the Yungu Cableway (within walking distance), with an altitude of more than 900 meters. It is 36/7℃ at the foot of the mountain, and it is still very cool here, and the body does not feel hot. You need to change the hotel shuttle bus to go up the mountain in Tangkou Town. The hotel will contact you one day in advance to arrange the bus (about one bus per hour). The hotel has three meals, breakfast is a set meal for a small number of people, and a buffet for a large number of people. We had six meals for lunch and dinner in three days, and the taste was OK. The room is very clean, and the room with a balcony can directly see the mountain, and the scenery is great (Figure 2). The bathing products are also very good. The hotel has hot springs, and you need to wear a swimsuit to enter. If you don’t bring it, the hotel also has it, 100/piece for women and 50 for men. There are four hot springs, some of which are slightly lower in temperature for children. Next to the hot spring is a gurgling stream. We took the elderly and climbed Huangshan for a relaxed way. We needed to arrange the hotel’s car in the morning to go up the Yuping Cableway. Here I would like to give a special praise to the hotel's service. Although it is not a butler-style, the girl at the front desk is very helpful. The elderly room has several steps that are inconvenient, so we upgraded it for free and changed it to a room without steps. There were six of us on the shuttle bus, and there were other guests who could not sit. We were going to go up the mountain in batches. The hotel contacted another car for us so that we could go up the mountain together. We were also warm and thoughtful when we met them. We were reminded that there were free snacks from 14:00 to 16:00 every day (Figure 4, praise), and we were also reminded that we could go to the hot springs early during the off-peak hours. Figure 1 was taken on the large terrace on the eighth floor of the hotel. My family said that they could stay for a month next time. In addition, after we went down the mountain, we also went to Hongcun (about a 1-hour drive) and Banyan Tree. I personally feel that the cost-effectiveness here is not a little bit.

We had a great time here at Baiyun hotel, known for its great location here in Huangshan and the exceptional services provided by their 管家s. Our 管家 is 小叶 and we were very touched by her sincerity and helpfulness during our stay here, she made sure to keep us updated on the latest sunset/sunrise timings via wechat and provided us great recommendations on our hiking routes. As foreigners, she made us feel very welcomed here and very approachable in asking her for help or services anytime. There was even a performance specially put up by the Baiyun staff every night, it’s heartwarming to see the amount of effort they go through to make their guests happy. I will highly recommend this hotel, not just because of its great location to sunrise/sunset spots and small eateries, its comfortable beds and hot showers toilets, but also for its wonderful and applaudable services that the staff will provide for each and everyone of its guests. Good location, not too far from Tangkou bus transfer terminal. When we arrived here, we asked a local to help us call them and they immediately sent a car to picked us up. Transport to and fro Tangkou bus terminal was free. The room was clean, facilities good, separate toilet/bathroom. Building not so new but facilities well maintained and clean. Breakfast was Chinese style buffet, simple but adequate. Service from all the staff from front desk, the boss, the driver, the restaurant staff and the cleaning lady were excellent. I stayed in 5 hotels during this trip to China and this hotel provided the best service. The driver even helped us to get a direct transfer to our subsequent Tunxi hotel, without us getting fleeced. I believe the hotel, restaurant and adjoining mini-mart are all family owned.

When we arrived at the bus station, the boss personally drove over to pick us up, but it was very close to the transfer center. I also told the boss about dinner. Online reviews said his cooking was delicious, so I asked the boss and he agreed to dinner. Due to the snowy scenery these days, there are a lot of people checking in. Even though the boss is short of manpower, he still agreed to cook it for us. I was so touched. All aspects of the decoration of the B&B are in line with our aesthetics. The facilities are relatively complete and very smart.

Firstly my experience and expectations were totally changed after visiting this hotel. I had a very bad impression of chinese hostels but this hostel changed everything. What an amazing hostel! It is super clean, with all possible amenities and lastly great location near Huangshan Scenic Area bus stop. I must mention the cleanliness and toilet facilities will challenge any western hostel. Its amazing. Lastly, it will be unjustness if I don’t mention the hotel owner lady. She is a super mom. I talked to her for a long time, she talked about her family, her business and what to see. She managed me everything. When I changed my plan suddenly she came for the rescue mission. And what surprised me most is not the hotel but the lady. The day I checked out at night she knocked me just to know whether I have reached my destination safely or not!!!!! I thought she runs a business but now I think she is more of a mother than that of a businessmen. May she live long! A certain recommendation to her hostel for everyone especially for foreigners...

Location: Very close to the 汤口 entrance, 15 min walk to the nearest bus interchange to see the mountain. Cleanliness and amenities: Superb as this hotel just newly opened and everything is in its prestine conditions. There is also a laundry room free for use. Service however, was debatable. While staff were very friendly, they definitely took advantage of our lack of knowledge around the town. 1. Offering to drive us to the Emerald Valley (翡翠谷) but charging us an exorbitant price, 5 times more than what DiDi (car hailing app) was listing (only telling us the price once we got on the car, felt like they just made up the amount on a whim). The emerald valley was not an inaccessible location, but we were told that it was and therefore heeded their advice. 2. Sold us Emerald Valley entrance tickets for twice the price and told us that we were getting a discount. Fortunately, the tickets were void as it had already been used, which we got our refund back after. We then bought tickets at the entrance for half the price as we were foreigners. So now im wondering, what discount was she talking about? 3. Lastly, after facing some issues with the dryer not properly drying our clothes after waiting for 2hrs, I approached a staff for help. She was lost and confused but still trying to tell me I did not operate the machine correctly, when all she did was did exactly what i did and said that “its working, just have to wait for the dryer to heat up”. When i asked for her to elaborate on how it works, because i did the same thing and i waited for 2hrs, she just repeated the same info again. Like. If you don’t know and you can’t help just say so? Don’t act smart and be unhelpful? Take these experiences as a pointer if you choose to stay here. Do your own proper research as much as possible so you don’t get taken advantage of like we did! Nonetheless, Huang shan is still a beautiful place, definitely worth a visit.

This is one of the less satisfactory 5-star hotel stays I have had in years. Due to its location, it demanded a high price tage of over $280 a night. But its location is less optimal for watching sunrise or sundet. One has to walk 15-20 min. with steep climb to reach viewing point. In comparison. 光明顶 is a much better place to be. The small frig in room does not work at all. Instead of cooling, the tempertaure inside rised after it was turned on. Fromt desk said they will sed in repair and never did, even after we requested it the second time. The frig remained unfunctional when we checked out.

Eight of us stayed here for one night before we started our hike in Huang Shan. This boutique hotel gave us a very pleasant surprise from the beginning to end. When we checked in, we were given very warm welcome. The hotel was owned and managed by a young couple. The husband, called Jack, helped us to sort out and register our electronic admission tickets to Huang Shan. This really put our worries aside! His wife attended to every detail. The rooms are big, clean and nicely designed with a modern western style. They even have voice activation to lights, toilet bidet seats…Before we started our hike, they gave us water, snacks and even rain coats. After we came down from the mountain on the following day, we came back to the hotel to pick up our left luggage. Again, Jack and his wife welcomed us and provided every assistance. We had another meal there and the food was good. After lunch we were sent off with souvenirs. In short, an extraordinary heart-warming experience in this hotel. And above all, very good value for money. We all thoroughly enjoyed. A unanimous vote - Highly recommended to our friends!

Very good service. Allow luggage storage and helped with itinerary planning. Very friendly concierge. Large room with comfortable bed and shower with good water pressure. Close to bus station. Highly recommended.

The location of the B&B is very good, very close to the south gate of Huangshan. The room is clean and tidy. I was upgraded to a room with a bay window for free. There are green plants outside the window and the view is very good. The boss's cooking skills are very good. The diving fish is super delicious, and the shredded bamboo shoots and shredded pork noodles are also very authentic. I originally booked only two days, but the stay was so comfortable that I extended it for another day. Since we left early in the morning and had no time for breakfast, the boss and the boss's wife specially prepared eggs and steamed buns for us. It was really thoughtful and warm. Next time I come to Huangshan, I will choose Yiyun Villa!
