I checked in once last December. The hotel is responsible for pick-up and drop-off. It is very convenient. We rented a car this year. We chose to stay at this hotel the night before we returned to China. Because it is close to the airport and there is free parking. I miss the food inside. , A little taste, the overall environment is more beautiful, I like it very much, follow up to Houston, this hotel will choose to stay

Checked in online but when we got to hotel no one was at the desk so had to wait on Nina to get a card key who acted as if she was drunk and basically just stares at you. Finally get checked get to the room and looked clean however found a live roach in the bathroom. Let that go as we are close to the water. Went to bed and was jarred awake at 1:15 in the morning by someone opening the door to our room. They did not knock, or announce who they were until we screamed at them. Thankfully we had the bar on the door or he would have been in the room. Claimed he was maintenance, of course cannot sleep after this incident. Call the desk at 7am and told they would find out and let me know what had happened and why. No call or explanation so I go to the front desk at 10:30 to get information on why. Same blank stare from Nina who proceeds to give me bull story that there was a water leak and they didn’t know room was occupied and I should lock the door next time. Still not an apology so I go back to the room and as I get in the elevator I’m watching Nina on the phone laughing and watching me. Get back to the room to shower and find more roaches and there is no hot water at all, let it run for 30 minutes still nothing. Tell front desk they say oh we can move you. I’m like don’t bother we are checking out and going to hotel across the street because of this stay. I ask for late check out because I can’t get into the new hotel til 2 and I was informed that to get late check out I would have to pay 15 dollars. I asked if a manager could approve not paying that since this stay was not up to par and I’m told manager will be that at 6am and she can’t approve it but would find out and let me know. Got a phone call in the room at 1030pm saying it was approved at no cost for a late check out. Needless to say we will never be back to this hotel! I warn anyone who doesn’t like bugs to not stay here. Now we will need to leave our things outside to unpack when we get home just in case I brought home bugs from this stay!

In ordinary times I might be more forgiving of this hotel. The staff was friendly (although none of them wore masks), and the room was comfortable enough for a Holiday Inn. But these are not ordinary times. And the fact that no one working at the hotel wore a mask - there was no hand sanitizer available and there were no signs promoting elevator safety concern me greatly. Every time I went to ride the elevator - some other guest (usually with no mask on) would want to get into the elevator with me. I was visiting a sick relative and I certainly don't want to bring someone else's germs home with me. In other regards - the laundry room on the 4tb floor was broken, the trash was overflowing with beer cans and the remote for my TV was partially broken. The volume would toggle up but not down and the TV would turn on but not off. The bed was comfortable and I have no other complaints. But I don't feel like this was a sanitary place to stay during a pandemic.

Hotel booked in advance. When I arrived at the hotel, I learned that there was no reservation. Ctrip customer service sister is very nice. Very patient and considerate, thanking her for helping us make our stay smooth. The front desk staff at the hotel was lazy. I didn't see the hotel staff attentively helping

Because of the corona virus crisis there are big restrictions in this hotel too, but it is still very good and clean. Friendly and helpful emergency personnel make a positive contribution.

A majority of the employees need to attend hospitality school. I have never stayed at a hotel with employees who were so rude and had no interest in helping guests. This hotel was the host hotel for an event I was attending. My flight arrived really early. I called a few days prior to see if an early check-in would be an option. They recommended I call once I arrived. Unfortunately they did not have a room available and took my number to notify me as soon as it was ready. They never called. I was on the 11th floor and next to a suite. On two occasions I had to call downstairs because their music was so loud….at 5am. It sounded like a night club and smelled like ****. The hotel did take care of this immediately which I appreciated. Breakfast was included with the hotel stay and vouchers were given out at check-in. Olga has to be the rudest person I have ever witnessed in a restaurant setting. She yelled at guests, demanded to know where our vouchers were, and was very belittling to her co-worker Susan. Susan was amazing and did her best to make-up for Olga’s rudeness. Since this is a buffet, I understand that they do not want people to take food to go. Here is my thought: they were constantly running out of food. Some of us ran out of time to eat and still get to the event. One person waited and finally had to leave. She took her fruit. Olga ran after her and took the plate of fruit from her. It was shocking. I guess it is better to throw the fruit in the trash verses allowing her to eat the fruit in her room. Olga was extremely rude to all of us. I never returned to the restaurant because I was so turned off by her attitude. As a company, IHG should be embarrassed by her behavior and her treatment of guests. I also understand that many hotels are not cleaning rooms on a daily basis. I am completely fine with this. On several occasions I requested extra coffee and creamer from the front desk. Each time I was told they did not have anything. I asked how to get more coffee and was told it was not their problem. I requested extra towels and received a dirty washcloth and towel. As I mentioned we there for an event. On Friday night with a bar full of paying customers, they closed the bar at 10pm. Southwest had major flight cancellations requiring people to be there for an extra night. When I went downstairs to secure another night for my friends who had checked out, the front desk employee was too interested in his phone to help me and suggested I use a third party booking site. For $170/night, I expected a lot more from a hotel. IHG should be appalled with this hotel staff. IHG needs to have a major review of their hotel staff at this location. I finally started laughing at the lack of service because I thought it couldn’t get worse and it repeatedly did. This staff needs a lot of training to be in the hospitality world.
