Although the hotel staff had poor English and communication difficulties, but they were very enthusiastic, because there were not many shuttle buses in the countryside and the routes were complicated. Lovely staff, polite, caring and gracious. We stayed in a Japanese style room. The room and view was great, however the bathroom was small in our view. Onsen was clean and well kept, both public and private rooms. Food was authentic to the region and beautifully presented. Although the reception area looked a little tired this was overcome by the warm welcome. Unfortunately the bedding on the futons did not match which did detract from the overall impression. Overall a memorable experience.
