"Staying at Hostel No. 45 in Xining truly exceeded my expectations. It was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful, welcoming vibe – it was definitely the most reassuring place I stayed on my trip. The hygiene was impeccable. The bedding was changed for every new guest, it was spotless with no odd smells, and the beds were soft and comfy. The common areas and bathrooms were cleaned daily, always fresh and never greasy, completely unlike the damp and messy feel you sometimes get in typical hostels. The location was super convenient, close to the train station with plenty of food options nearby, making it easy for getting around and finding meals. The owner was warm and attentive, patiently recommending local tips and helping with carpooling and finding travel companions. They were always available to help with any issues, treating you like a friend. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back, perfect for meeting like-minded travelers. The facilities were complete, with stable hot water and fast WiFi, offering excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again when I return to Xining, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone traveling to the Northwest – you won't regret it!"

"Enjoyed my stay at this hostel because of its vibes. Some people are just more suited as hosts than others, and the young boss of this hostel is certainly one such. Helpful, respectful, and with a sense of humour. The last picture is of the boss with us three guests - a Chinese, a Singaporean and a Japanese guest. The sitting room is a great gathering place - every evening guests gather there to chill and chat."

"The staff was extremely polite and helpful towards us. They let us leave our luggage for the day. The only downside was that almost none of the sockets worked in our room, but other than that this is a solid hostel for this price range."

"Location was really good, just near the train station and a bus stop going to train station and Kumbum Monastery, but it's quite hard to find at night especially it's in a dark alley. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, when I stayed, the water was on and off (mostly off) ― some people had to call the staff to turn it on. And that made the toilet unusable as well!"

"We loved our stay at He Huang Memory Hostel. The owners are all very nice and accommodating. The hostel has an awesome chill out area with good vibes. We stayed an extra night as we found it such a good place to chill out. Has hot water, washing machine, drinking water, microwave, kitchen, pool table and anything else you could think of or need! Also a cute cat! Would definitely stay again if I’m ever back in Xining!"

The bosses and his wife are definitely cultural people who hide in the city, and they are eminent monks who hide their secrets! In addition, there are two kinds of drinking water, mineral water and tap water, at the front desk in the corridor, which is very convenient. Even the boss’s son is very sensible! In the morning, I stood on the overpass, munching on pickled mustard and drinking boiling water to make eggs. I leisurely looked at the sparse flow of people outside the overpass and watched the morning sun rise little by little from the sea of ​​clouds. Hitting a passerby is like being outside the world! This hotel is very safe to stay in! Thanks to the boss and his family of three for providing a warm living environment to tired travelers in faraway Xining!"
