We have been staying at the Hotel for a few weeks now. After long hours at work, we just wanted to stay somewhere where we can disconnect with work, relax and connect with other people. Nevertheless, I would like to share with everyone that Bar attendant (James) would always go that extra mile to ensure customer expectations are exceeded. Is not just about serving you a drink and taking orders. Excellent customer service by always interacting with customers, offering advice, friendly, accommodative making our staying very pleasant. I strongly believe that a good job should always be well recognised. Thank you for the high level of professionalism. Regards Ruben

Ideal for early flights, situated within Terminal South next to Departures and opposite Caffe Nero. You can check in at the desk or online, lifts around the corner from reception which seems open to public (unlike Aerotel where you have to walk past reception to get to lifts) but of course the room key card secures entry to room floors to guests only.
We were upgraded from windowless room to one with a window and ours looked out at an interior loading bay. Nothing exciting and the room was better with the curtains down.
Beautiful light fittings to set different moods, all features very modern. Small room ofcourse but enough to snooze before departure (unless you have a lot of luggage!). No kettle, but free hot drinks available from a small and cold service room on the fifth floor!
The bathroom and shower were great, just wished it wasn’t a wet room, just so messy if there’s no dry area!

Getting to the hotel
After some inconspicuous sign-posting and a short chat with a driver of a different hotel shuttle bus, I was able to make my way to the hotel from Gatwick. It was a short ride, and the shuttle takes card, so there's no need to try and scramble change together.
The hotel
The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and the restaurant has decent meals. The room itself was nice and clean, and I got a great night sleep before my next flight.
Getting to the airport
The shuttle arrives right outside the hotel, and there are timetables at reception. The shuttle is available early to late and was on time.

Although a little out of the way (ensure your taxi driver knows where they are going and doesn't take you to the other holiday Inn at Gatwick!!), it is worth it, pun intended. We arrived and checked in with no fuss and managed to catch 'last orders' from the bar- great team and a special mention for Steve and Sarah who chatted to us and made us feel relaxed and shared a laugh with us. The reason for the four stars is that- I went to check that a gluten free breakfast was available and the member of staff I dealt with gave us incorrect information. He told us we hadn't paid for breakfast and that I would have to liaise with the kitchen directly. I questioned this with another colleague who confirmed that we had paid for breakfast and options were available. Had a great nights sleep and enjoyed breakfast options available. Simple check out process and the receptionist arranged for our precooked taxi to be brought forward.

This is a manor hotel, and it looks pretty good from the outside. I still want to pick something wrong: First of all, it is the hygiene problem. Cobwebs can be seen everywhere, in the corner of the bathroom, on the walls of the room, and even in the menu of the food delivery. I can't understand such a thing appearing in a so-called high-end hotel. Inside; the waiter is still quite polite, but I called the front desk from the room to arrange the wake-up service for me the next day... but it was not done for me; the restaurant is said to belong to Fine Dining, from the perspective of the breakfast... Healthy, Do what I want for me with intentions, not sloppy; the hotel is equipped with a so-called clubhouse, including a separate gym, swimming pool, changing room (but no sauna, steam), the equipment is not perfect; in addition, there is a leisure The restaurant in the hotel can be used by the guests of the health center, but the selection of coffee beans is not good; the hotel's main building and the rooms are quite stuffy, airtight, and have no air conditioning. The ¥1670 twin room with two breakfasts is not very spacious, there is no small refrigerator, the sound insulation is poor, and the walk outside the doorway can be heard clearly... and it is shocking; there are actually two English-style billiard tables downstairs in the restaurant of the main building for guests. Play, that's the only big highlight. You have to check out at 11 o'clock, which can be delayed for an hour, and then you need to charge 50 pounds, but it does not say how long this charge will last.

We booked this hotel so we could use the steam room and hot tub however both were out of order for 3 days which was the duration of our stay. The food in the hotel - the service was appauling I waited 1.5 hours for a vegan beef wellington to then be brought a caulifour risotto which I didnt order and was given the excuse that the chef didnt have enough time / it would take too long to make a vegan wellingotn- even though it was a sunday roast meal and they knew I didnt eat meat 4 hours before the meal and I was told originally I would have to wait 10 minutes for my wellington after queing up at the cavery- so all I had to eat were sides. The room was great- and hotel immaculate

Excellent
LLittlechoyIt is great and highly recommend. Our flight arrived early at 7am. Though no luggage storage service due to airport security, hotel staff provided us a nice waiting area n allowed us to early check in when room available at 12:15pm. The front desk staff were polite and helpful, especially Ms Magdalena who was really helpful and made effort to let our stay more smooth and wonderful 😘🥰👍👏
Excellent location to connect Gatwick Airport North Terminal. Just only one corridor to connect which take less than a minute.
Great breakfast from 4-10am for convenience of early flight travelers.
Airport has store luggages service which costs 7.5 pound/luggage for the first 3 hours.
GGuest UserI specifically booked a night at the Sofitel Gatwick because it included 'Meet and Greet' parking with Maple Parking. Had they not included this I would have still stayed but made other arrangments for my car. I arrived at the Maple Parking Meet and Greet and parked the car. Took my keys over to the attendant and signed in. I then asked if they could give me 20 minutes to check in to the hotel, change clothes and bring a bag back to the car. We didnt want to bring a bag of unclean clothes on holiday with us. Here's where things went downhill faster than Gwynth Paltrow on ski's. The attendant, a tall bloke with a mid-european accent shouted at me 'No, do you know you are at an airport'. He actually shouted this. Shouted. To a customer. Take a minute to breathe that in. Fortunatly I knew I was at an airport, having driven 4 hours to get there. To hear that I was at an airport was no surprise, to be shouted at by a car park attendant was. I explained that I didnt want to take a case of unclean clothes on holiday with me. His response to that was 'we are extremly busy and your car will be removed immediately'. I asked if the hotel would hold the bag and he replied 'No they will not hold your stupid bag'. Here's where I should have murdered him with his Maple Meet and Greet Staff lanyard, but I did not. I asked for my keys back to be told once again in an truely agresive manner 'if you take your keys I will close the entry and you can't come back'. I took the keys and left. I then had to park at Gatawick Long stay for an additional £150. We finally checked into the hotel, explained the situation. The checkin lady (Alessia?) apologised and gave us two tokens for a free drink at the bar. They also kept our bag for us. Is this the fault of Sofitel Gatwick? I think it is. They decided to partner with a company that treats people appalingly. So they've got to accept responsibility for that. Please share this review, If I saw something like this I would have chose another car park or another hotel. Other people should be warned.
GGuest UserThe floor of the room is wooden and soundproof, but I sleep with earplugs, which does not affect; breakfast is simple, but the front desk is very warm, greets every day, there are questions and answers; there are several restaurants in three minutes, five or six minutes there is a supermarket; Go to the airport and turn right for four minutes. There is a bus stop, and it takes ten minutes to get to Gatwick Airport. It is very convenient.
GGuest UserBooked via Holiday Extras for this hotel as we needed a place close to the airport to park our car and stay overnight for our earlier morning flight to Spain. Welcome on arrival first class. Everything was explained clearly and with a smile. Our request for an early morning call noted and carried out on time. Bit of a rush leaving as we tried to catch the shuttle but again staff dealt very quickly with everything and enabled us to catch the shuttle. On arrival back at the hotel after our holiday, again staff on reception very very efficient polite and informative. Room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. A perfect stay! Thank you.
GGuest UserWe visit the corner house hotel horley regularly, the reason being the facilities are 1st class, the rooms are so clean, 24hr friendly reception, buitifull food at good price, car parking and a lovely bar area offering you a friendly welcome, plus transfers to the airport,so the service is complete. now the staff, theres James(manager), what a lovely person, always around for any quarries and so professional, James organises the hotel to perfection with a smile and welcome, Angie in the restaurant, the beat waitress youl ever meet, always smiling and asking if you need anything, Annie is a diamond, Sophie is so funny ut also very efficient in her work, what a welcome you will get, but seriously all the staff at the corner house are so kind, welcoming, professional, and funny, try the corner house horley especially for your overnight stays for gatwick airport and you definitely won't be disappointed..Gary and Carol..
Very convenient location for an early departure from Gatwick the following day. Reasonable price for room only with tea/ coffee making facilities with over night parking free. Bed was very comfortable. We would certainly book again if flying from Gatwick. This accommodation also offers longer stay parking and taxi to the Airport so worth enquiring as we will probably do next time.
Stayed here for an evening with friends in Horley. Great location for the town and Gatwick Airport. Cheap and cheerful but perfect as a place to stop for an evening. Clean and comfortable. Towels were provided. Rooms had some wardrobe space and tea and coffee facilities. We will definitely use again.
TThe Gatt ManAwesome alternative to the multinational chains around Gatwick Airport. Will definitely use again. Charming and cheap. Taxi and Breakfast available. Clean and comfy bedrooms. Helpful staff. Close to amenities.
GGuest UserI arrived very late because my flight was delayed but the host was extremely accommodating and welcoming even at 2:30am! The room was extremely clean and very close to the airport. Great breakfast in the morning and for the price I couldn’t have asked for more!
