First time to Belize and our expectations were exceeded. From accommodating and attentive staff, to amazing excursions, we’ll be back! Snorkeling was amazing with Kendrick, Alex, and Elisha. All were helpful and showed sharks and stingrays. Victor for our chocolate and jaguar preserve tour was informative, funny, and safe recognizing our skill level to hike and swim. Worth the hike to hit the beautiful waterfall that (with a cave) we were able to swim into. Mike our dependable cab driver was filled with great restaurant recommendations. We would highly recommend the Paddle House, Don Tonitos, Dehlia’s, and Barbara’s for tasty local fare and local music. Can’t say enough about the friendliness of the Belizean people. And, for local art and/or souvenirs, check out Gari Maya. If you don’t find anywhere including amazing artwork. We will be back! Thank you Belize for a beautiful, memorable experience.

All the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable! Our favorite staff was Captain Larry! He greeted us every morning. He even brought a fresh coconut cut open ready to drink for each person in our family! Always kind and positive! Communication with the resort was quick and easy through What's app. This was our 3rd visit at Jaguar Reef and I'm sure we will choose them again!

My husband and I went to celebrate our ten-year anniversary, and this location was recommended by my parents, who travel often. When I say this was everything, it was everything. The staff were superb. The attention and service were always above and beyond, even for random requests. Special shoutout to Shakaria, Melissa, and Julio, who greeted us and checked in with us each day and evening as part of the front desk/concierge staff. Our room was excellent, and the food was terrific; even as a walking vegan (aka vegetarian who only does dairy for ice cream, lol), I had so many options on their vegetarian, vegan menu, which is rare and also exciting because I could eat more than sides and the food was good. Our wait staff was also fantastic—Shoutout to Jason, Thomas, and Jerry. The icing on the cake for this place, of course, was the beach. They kept the beach emasculate, and Captian Larry made the experience fun and exciting in conversation and water activities. We have already started planning our 2025 trip back, and I can't wait! This place is where it's at, and it's all because of their staff! Best on the island ..you better Belize it!

My experience at Jaguar Reef was the best. I had a warm welcome by Elisha at the front desk, she was very professional and made me feel comfortable. Robin also did an extremely great job with assisting me at the front desk during my stay, she was very patient with me. Demor took great care of my wife and I at the Almond beach bar ready to assist us with great drinks. And last but not least I can’t forget about Captain Larry, he was very entertaining and very helpful to my wife and I. Captain Larry even got us fresh coconuts from the tree. I 100% recommend staying at Jaguar Reef, the team will take good care of you.

We had a lovely stay in one of the oceanfront rooms, and particularly enjoyed the views and sounds of the ocean from our plunge pool and patio. We unknowingly came during Belize’s Independence Day and annual vacations/renovations so it was difficult to find places that were open to eat off resort, but fortunately the food on-site was excellent and even featured local favorite Nice Cream and good daily specials. The ceviche bar was such a cool place to hang out, and it was highly convenient to have our chosen tours pick us up right there on the dock. The resort is the perfect size— easy to get around but still has anything you would need. Staff were very kind and friendly, and although the golf cart rentals onsite were a little disorganized, it was a great, convenient option to get into town. As we rolled our suitcases to the front desk for checkout, we met the famous Captain Larry, who was off work for the duration of our stay but made an immediate impression with his warmth and kindness, picking a flower for me as a parting gift. We would definitely recommend The Lodge at Jaguar Reef as it combines the creature comforts of a very nice resort with the authenticity of a true Belizean experience from the surrounding community and natural attractions.

Captain ensures that even the little details such as flowers on ur towels near the pool make u feel special...... And ofc I can't leave out the mechilada mix Jerry made for my mom and I at the pool bar..... we thoroughly enjoyed it....Jaguar reef is definitely an experience you'll never forget and always dream of getting away back to again and again....

I would give Jaguar Reef all the stars in the galaxy, and if for no reason other than the service. Don’t get me wrong, the resort itself is beautiful; complete with all of the amenities and creature comforts. But that’s not why I am certain we will be back. Andy, Jason, Sippy, Genesis, Jerry, and of course, CAPTAIN LARRY… they’re the reason we cannot wait to come back. They made an exotic, unfamiliar place feel like home. There is no better definition of hospitality.
