Great stay experience, and several areas show the hotel's concern for its customers, such as placing an extra pillow in the wardrobe for rapid usage. Cutlery, a plate, and a can opener (which is unusual to see in other hotels).
One thing I was disappointed with was the sound isolation. Because a family of three or four lives next to my room, the commotion can still be heard across the door that separates my room from the next. Although the sound absorber board has been constructed, the noise remains evident.
The TV appeared a pleasant welcome show with my surname, which was definitely amazing utilizing an uncommon approach to greet consumers that I had ever seen.
Overall: 9/10
Amazing place! Already entering the reception, you can smell the fresh recent renovation, the aroma of the diffuser. Our room 2007 was on the 20th floor and exceeded all expectations. The room has everything you need and even more - a comfortable bed with an automatic lifting mechanism, a sofa, a TV, air conditioning, a mini-kitchen (with dishes and cutlery, a kettle, a jug for water), a dining area with 4 chairs, a shoe rack, lots of storage space, an ironing board with an iron, electric blinds, USB sockets. Very thoughtful lighting.
Every day cleaning is provided, a couple of times towels were changed.
On the third floor - a free laundry with a dryer, a gym, a shared kitchen for cooking, a coffee maker, a place for eating.
On the first floor - a cafe where you can have breakfast / lunch / dinner. For guests a 20% discount. Great location - 2 minutes by bridge to the metro, also a lot of bus stops nearby; there is a shopping center.
Minus - when booking we were not warned that the deposit would be about 500 HKD per day, for 4 days it seems too high (2000 HKD), which was almost comparable to the cost of our reservation. We did not have this amount in cash, we paid with a UP credit card, at the time of publication of the review the bank has not yet returned the funds.

The first night, we were unable to sleep well because the air con was far too noisy but many thanks to the hotel , we were given another room which was bigger and spacious. That was truly a surprise and a treat ! To me, it was like a birthday present from the hotel (21 Dec). For the rest of the stay, our sleep was restful and pleasant .
The rooms are clean (we have booked 2 rooms, the other room was occupied by my sons) and the toiletries are complete and smell nice. Towels are thick and clean.
A surprise came to one of my sons . His birthday is 19 Dec and the hotel has given him a cake which was personally baked by the hotel chef (which I learnt from the staff; I had initially thought was bought from the bakery outside ). The cake was so tasty and delicious . Thanks to the chef ! Thanks to the hotel ! On the day of check-in, the receptionist had wished him happy birthday, but never in our mind he would be given a cake .
A special thanks to Xavier who was cheerful and helpful towards us in assisting us with calling the cab on two separate occasions, giving directions for the drivers to come to the hotel. We are not conversant with Cantonese and he is definitely a great help. Also after drinking the coffee, he happily offered to throw away our empty cups. I felt that it was not his job (as anyone should throw his own trash), but he insisted and did it willingly and cheerfully . He made our stay really pleasant . Thanks, Xavier!
More to add, the gym and pool table are plus points, suit the needs of my husband and sons .
On a separate note, the blind on the leftmost glass window (next to bed) does not roll down properly . I had to manually roll it down , sorry for unhooking some of the hooks of the day curtain.
Blessed Christmas to the management and staff of the Ovolo southside! :)
Very Good

The service was great and the location was amazing to explore South Hong Kong Island. Nonetheless, for a couple it is too tight as a room to even more two at the same time through the corridors. Therefore, this place is more recommended for solo travellers as the bed will be more comfortable (also the couples' bed is only two single beds put together, therefore do not buy into this ”trick).
The AC did not allow regulation, however if you like freezing cold (when on) or room temperature (when off) be my guest.
500 deposit required at the entrance for any extent of stay at the residence.
Despite the small setbacks in the bed, size and AC, the location is great, around great local food spots with emphasis on fish and other seafood, as well as markets (1F hidden gems), boat trips to Aberdeen, almost a part of the MTR building itself and allowed to leave luggage at the entrance even after check-out (until 18:00) for walking around hassle-free.
Would not return overall in conclusion.
The Caritas Oswald Cheung International House is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The spacious hotel room exudes a minimalist simplicity with its clean lines, neutral tones, and airy layout. However, the shower, while functional, is a bit more compact than expected, providing limited space to move around comfortably. Located on the outskirts of the city center, the location is slightly distant, yet offset by the proximity of several bus stops nearby, offering convenient options for getting around and exploring the city despite this distance.

This is the second stay at the hotel. Became disappointed by the cigarette smoke we sensed over midnight that woke up my family. When the staff was asked to check for the violators, the staff instead sprayed deodorant outside our room, then knocked and said ”I could not smell anything”. It was disrespectful gesture, as if we lied about the incident. When we said that we could not agree with the deordant being used before her check, the staff went silent and began discussing the AC. When we interviewed other guests in the breakfast lounge, others agreed with our observation on cigarette smoke. We reported to reception as well but limited changes could be done due to centralized ventilation system. Suggest all staff go through training again regarding respect. Attached is the view from lobby of our floor. We stayed on top floors in the second stay but it didn't seem to matter.

Great location and hotel is getting a facelift to its looks and entrance.
The daily bus service should be continued as this helps long stay customers get into the business area for work and was one of the good facility offered by the hotel. This was stopped since 1st sept.

Outstanding
CChee yeeGood to stay , the room is spacious with bath tub , connected with the mall , it’s really nice place , the only minus will be the MTR station need to interchange , if u want to go and shop at the shoplot outside , need to walk around 15 mins minimum , overall still a good hotel
CChico999Very good all around value considering you are Hong Kong. ”Cozy” rooms with comfy beds. The food is very good in spite of the set menu, except for the western option which adds a hot dog and canned baked beans to your eggs instead of bacon and potatoes. One load of self service laundry costs $10.22. Close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Recommend the dumpling place down the street.
DDuskylaneI travel through Hong Kong about four times a year ~January, February, June and August. I used to stay at the Regal at the airport for years but 2021, after COVID, when the Regala Skycity opened I've only stayed there. Service is great, buffet is sumptuous, and the bed is just right for me. They had a new feature when i checked in last month (August, 2024) ~ water thermos that can be filled from the passageway. It's so much better than plastic bottles. And the water was nice and cooling. Highly recommended!
FFelinaWe had fun, nice views, staff are nice, food are reasonable... superb spacious room more than I expected. very accomodating specially in spending quality time for a family staycation, quite Far from the city but good for those who want to escape from busy city of Hong kong... we stayed for 2 nights, kids had so much fun for the environment as a lot to go and roam around, beach view, childrens play ground,, swimming pool but we just swim once during our stay as Thunder storm is always around pool was closed most of the time, surely we will come back once again!
Recommended 👌
MMarianne Alexis AlmedaThis is our top 1 favourite hotel, The room was amazing very clean and spacious, i was expecting to have a complimentary toothbrush but they don’t have it. Thank you for the small cake our celebrant was so surprised and happy, sad part was we didn’t get to enjoy the pool area since the bad weather came. will definitely comeback here again!
AAnonymous UserGood size room for Hong Kong standards, free shuttle bus to shopping centre and MTR station. It’s about 7 minutes walk from Tai Wo Hau station just walk across footbridge and turn left, walk about 7mins. Breakfast was Ok.
FFelipe KondoService is great, check-in is smooth (either passport copy or 500HKD deposit), no lift available therefore be careful before booking if you have much luggage. Despite these small setbacks, service is super attentive and with great English, the room is super clean and offers a cozy and quiet retreat right in the middle of Wanchai. Much recommended for either long-stays or short-crash. Beware, like every HK room, it is small, but cleanliness and coziness are worth it.
PS: The table is too small for working so use a café in case a laptop is required.
GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit out of the way from main tourist area- Nathan Road. It is about 15 minutes from the nearest tube station. The east and south of hotel is surrounded by some small metal retails commerce and car repair shops. I didn't like the metal and repair smells. The west of the hotel is one block away from a shopping plaza and also a lovely park. My taxi driver didn't know the hotel location until I gave him the address. The hotel entry is not easily spotted. The hotel reception is on the third floor. It looks bigger in the picture than in reality. I booked the 2 nights stay as I thought it is in a new reclaimed land area. I thought the hotel is located in a residential area. Considering the hotel is only 2 years new, I would expect the lifts are in best condition.
I would appreciate the staff at the front of the desk with some smile. The lady in charge of the breakfast was lovely.
The rooms are small, but designed to maximize the space. They are clean and the shower is great.
RRonaldThe perfect place to relax before entering HK downtown, or after leaving it. It shows signs of the time passed but it is totally OK. Chinese or Western breakfast available. Smack on the beach with an outdoor ground terrace. Super quiet in the evening. It can be reached by bus from Tung Chung bus station or by ferry from HK. Nice walks are to be had too, to hill tops or beaches. HK airport is on the other side of the island, and you can take the Ngong Ping cable car to the big Buddha from Tung Chung. If I get back to HK I will relax in this hotel first.
KKrisOur recent stay at The Nap Tsim Sha Tsui was a mixed experience, with both positive and negative aspects that shaped our overall impression.
Pros:
Convenient Location: The hostel is strategically located in a lively neighborhood, providing easy access to public transportation and local attractions.
Polite and Friendly Staff: The staff at The Nap Tsim Sha Tsui were consistently polite and friendly, contributing to a positive atmosphere during our stay.
Cons:
Noise and Capsule Size: Despite reminders to keep quiet, other guests in this capsule hotel often failed to follow the guidelines, leading to disturbances. The capsules are too small, and the thin mattresses made for an uncomfortable sleeping experience. The lack of proper ventilation necessitated opening the capsule door for air conditioning, affecting overall comfort.
Unpleasant Odors: The pervasive smell of mothballs throughout the facility was overwhelming and contributed to headaches during our stay.
Capsule Movement Disturbances: Guests occupying the bottom capsule may experience sleep disruptions due to excessive movement from capsules above, highlighting a design flaw in the sleeping arrangements.
Small and Unsanitary Toilets: The restroom facilities were cramped, not sufficiently clean, and could benefit from improvement. While disposable towels and toothbrushes were provided, the overall cleanliness fell short of expectations.
Disposable Slippers: The disposable slippers provided were criticized for being too small and thin, prompting a preference for wearing socks in the supposedly quiet areas.
Cleanliness Concerns: While generally clean, the hostel could benefit from enhanced cleanliness standards to meet the expectations of discerning guests.
Value for Money:
Considering the price paid for our stay, The Nap Tsim Sha Tsui offered a value that was close to average. However, with several areas requiring improvement, the overall value could be significantly enhanced through better amenities and services.
Conclusion:
The Nap Tsim Sha Tsui provided a close-to-decent stay with room for improvement in various aspects. The convenient location and courteous staff were overshadowed by issues such as noise disturbances, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, unpleasant odors, and cleanliness concerns. With a commitment to addressing these shortcomings, this capsule hotel has the potential to offer a more satisfactory and better value-for-money experience in the future.
