Based on my experience at Dorsett Kai Tak, I would like to leave a review of my booking through Trip.com. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay, but there were some areas for improvement.
Booking Process and First Impressions
The booking process through Trip.com was very smooth. I was able to compare various hotels on the app, and chose Dorsett Kai Tak based on reviews and ratings. After booking, the guidance was prompt and the overall booking experience was very positive. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was struck by its clean exterior and modern design, and the check-in process was quick and friendly. The English-speaking staff made communication easy and convenient.
Room
The room was not large, but it was practical and utilized the space well. The Hong Kong skyline outside the window was very impressive, and we could enjoy the night view. The bed was comfortable and the cleanliness was excellent. Daily cleaning service, towels, and bathroom supplies were refilled. However, the soundproofing was a bit disappointing. I could occasionally hear noise from nearby rooms or hallways, which was annoying.
Facilities and Services
The hotel's facilities were basically satisfactory. The fitness center was small but well-equipped with basic exercise equipment, and the swimming pool, although small, was a great place to cool off in the city. In particular, the city view from the pool was a special experience. The hotel's shuttle bus only went to Kai Tak Station. This made it easy to travel to other areas via MTR, but it was a bit inconvenient that it did not directly connect to major tourist attractions. Since the shuttle bus service times were limited, I had to check the schedule in advance.
Location
The location of Dorsett Kai Tak was a bit disappointing. The Kai Tak area was far from Hong Kong's major tourist attractions, so it was difficult to walk to many shops or restaurants. However, since Kai Tak Station was close, there was no major problem in moving around using MTR. The hotel shuttle bus went to Kai Tak Station, so it was accessible by public transportation, but there were not many shops or restaurants nearby, which was a bit disappointing.
Meals
Breakfast was basic, but overall satisfactory. It had a good mix of Western and Asian dishes, and there were several local restaurants near the hotel, so I could enjoy local Hong Kong food. However, the choice was limited.
Overall Review
My experience staying at Dorsett Kai Tak was generally positive. I was very satisfied with the hotel's cleanliness, service, and facilities, and I was able to conveniently book at a reasonable price through Trip.com. However, I think the distance from major tourist attractions, the shuttle bus only goes to Kai Tak Station, and the soundproofing of the rooms needs improvement. If you are looking for a good value hotel in Hong Kong, Dorsett Kai Tak is a good choice.

This hotel is exceptionally well-located. We stayed in a corner room with a sea view, and although the room was not particularly spacious, the design was both clever and efficient, making the most of the available space. The bathroom’s bathtub was a highlight, offering an unparalleled experience of soaking while taking in the stunning views of Kowloon’s skyline and the expansive sea. The hotel is situated in North Point, and the journey from the airport was entirely on the motorway, with the hotel conveniently located just off the exit. Despite being in a crowded area, the hotel retains an open sea view, adding to its charm. The staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay even more pleasant. However, there are a few shortcomings: firstly, the hotel is adjacent to an elevated road, and the windows do not provide adequate soundproofing, resulting in significant noise at night that could affect sleep quality; secondly, the bed is rather soft, and even the slightest movement causes noticeable shaking; thirdly, the air conditioning unit is somewhat noisy when running; and lastly, the lighting design is not very practical, as the bedside lamp cannot be controlled independently—when the room lights are on, they all come on at once. If these issues could be addressed, this hotel would be nearly perfect.

My mum stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks six years ago. In 2024, my mum, sister and I chose to stay here for 3 weeks. That's enough to express how we like it here: extremely well located, nice rooms, efficient and very friendly staff whether at the reception, in the cleaning service or in the kitchen! We love the Emperor Causeway Bay.

Firstly, got a free upgrade to harbour view thank you so much to the lady that check us in. We stayed for 4 nights.
Secondly, the room had specious and clean feels.
Thirdly, room service was very good. Door service was also extremely good. There is always a door man to open the door for us be it coming in or going out. Daily housekeeping done well for all 4 nights.
Will recommend and choose this hotel again.
Renovated in 2023, the Sky Inn(Tsim Sha Tsui B1 Exit) is a great choice for accommodation in Hong Kong. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Hong Kong West Kowloon Station located approximately 1km away and Hong Kong International Airport roughly 33km away. In addition, Tsim Sha Tsui Metro Station is just a short walk away. This hotel is located near many of Hong Kong's attractions including Chungking Mansions, Temple Street and Kowloon Park. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

The hostel helped me to understand how to go to the airport of HK, and even helped me to find the way to pay for that. All of this really late at night. The room was really good for the price. 5 star service
Sky Inn is located in the city center of Tsim Sha Tsui area, where is nearby MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Exit C2. It is around 5 minutes walk to Habour City and Victoria Harbour. It takes around 30 minutes to Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park. You may take the A21 airport bus to go to Hong Kong International Airport directly. Hotel is newly renovated and well equipped with the air-conditioning, LED TV, wifi, private bathroom, hot water supply, hair dryer, bath amenities and water dispenser, etc.

Good location, though the room is quite small (which is understandable for Hong Kong), the amentities are good ( shampoo, soap, hanger, hair dryer, even have the adopter which is super useful for foreigner like me!). The hotel has no lobby, a housekeeper opened the room for me, she can't speak English, but still she is very nice and friendly.
The only big problem for me here is the room's wall is so thin, even people walking past your room or next door turn on/off the light, you can hear it. Also, there is a thick glasswall connected to next room, it cannot seen through but when next room open the light, my room also gets the brightness as well, I found it very too sleep🥲

1. Room: excellent facility with warm/welcoming staff, helped change room as the side panel got some issues (highlight: perfect mandarin/english, professional service to all guests no matter where she/he is from).
2. Service: room service was excellent. However, the spa staff was in the rush (we could obviously tell that she is running out of time, no pleasant farewell. The spa mean to be a luxurious experience while I feel there is much to improve in terms of presentation).
3. Restaurant: we had lunch at 8th floor restaurant twice, excellent food, outstanding staff and sophisticated service, sparked the stay.

AAnonymous UserGreat location, just besides Moko Shopping Mall and Mongkok East MTR. There's link bridge to Fa Yuen Street, Tung Choi Street, etc where can find many eatries.
Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Makes me and my family feels at home and we enjoy our stay. Room is clean and neat. Thank you Royal Plaza staff in making our stay comfortable.
KKevinebinStayin at 606 room.
The Room is ok, but the toilet has this some smelly aroma, at first I just ignore it because I only stayin for one night.
And then at Night the smelly aroma went into the room, can’t sleep well cause of the aroma.
Tried to close the toilet door, but it won’t close properly because there’s this long rubber guard on the door that hasn’t been cut properly.
Lastly, the wallpaper inside the room need some proper maintance. Its so worn out already.
DDuskylaneI travel through Hong Kong about four times a year ~January, February, June and August. I used to stay at the Regal at the airport for years but 2021, after COVID, when the Regala Skycity opened I've only stayed there. Service is great, buffet is sumptuous, and the bed is just right for me. They had a new feature when i checked in last month (August, 2024) ~ water thermos that can be filled from the passageway. It's so much better than plastic bottles. And the water was nice and cooling. Highly recommended!
FFelinaWe had fun, nice views, staff are nice, food are reasonable... superb spacious room more than I expected. very accomodating specially in spending quality time for a family staycation, quite Far from the city but good for those who want to escape from busy city of Hong kong... we stayed for 2 nights, kids had so much fun for the environment as a lot to go and roam around, beach view, childrens play ground,, swimming pool but we just swim once during our stay as Thunder storm is always around pool was closed most of the time, surely we will come back once again!
Recommended 👌
AAlston94The room size was great especially in Hong Kong, clean and comfort bed. The front desk staffs not very helpful and friendly. The shuttle bus provided does not cover night time after 7pm, for late check in you need to walk 15 mins from Tai Wo Hou station. Breakfast selection is limited but is still okay.
FFelipe KondoService is great, check-in is smooth (either passport copy or 500HKD deposit), no lift available therefore be careful before booking if you have much luggage. Despite these small setbacks, service is super attentive and with great English, the room is super clean and offers a cozy and quiet retreat right in the middle of Wanchai. Much recommended for either long-stays or short-crash. Beware, like every HK room, it is small, but cleanliness and coziness are worth it.
PS: The table is too small for working so use a café in case a laptop is required.
EEvelynOverall is good just that they don’t provide personal care like toothbrush and toothpaste. Toilet gets flood easily after bath, and no extra towel/ floor mat to clean up the mess. Hotel staffs are helpful and professional. We reached at 1pm they immediately checked the room availability and let us check in earlier 👍🏻
MMoody ElsaWe booked two seaview rooms. Both rooms were clean and comfy. Hotel western type breakfast and dinner were good value for money. The restaurant staff were very professional and friendly. Just one minor thing is the hotel doesn't provide water sports anymore. If you want to play you can ask the shops on the beach just one or two minutes walking distance beside the Resort. Overall, we enjoyed the stay very much and definitely will come again.
GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit out of the way from main tourist area- Nathan Road. It is about 15 minutes from the nearest tube station. The east and south of hotel is surrounded by some small metal retails commerce and car repair shops. I didn't like the metal and repair smells. The west of the hotel is one block away from a shopping plaza and also a lovely park. My taxi driver didn't know the hotel location until I gave him the address. The hotel entry is not easily spotted. The hotel reception is on the third floor. It looks bigger in the picture than in reality. I booked the 2 nights stay as I thought it is in a new reclaimed land area. I thought the hotel is located in a residential area. Considering the hotel is only 2 years new, I would expect the lifts are in best condition.
I would appreciate the staff at the front of the desk with some smile. The lady in charge of the breakfast was lovely.
The rooms are small, but designed to maximize the space. They are clean and the shower is great.
GGuest UserAs a visitor, this hotel is located in the center of Tsim Sha Tsui, with convenient transportation and a moderate location!
During the day, you can visit Hong Kong’s landmarks such as the Space Museum or go shopping, and at night you can communicate and chat with friends when you return to the hotel!
You can sleep quietly at night. The hotel is well-equipped and the sanitary condition is good!
Visitors will also have a feeling of fun and never forget to leave!
Sincerely recommend this hotel to other travelers!
