Visited with a friend and we were re-allocated rooms as we both booked twins and each of us got a double so great customer service! My room was nice except a couple of issues, it was the bathroom that was the issue, firstly and I know it’s hard to fix this but it was over the kitchen and all I could smell was curry….secondly the floor times in the bathroom were broken and very sharp, I reported this when I checked out, but this could cause a h&s issue… We did not eat at the pub so cannot comment on the food and breakfast was an additional £15 so we left and went to Maccys down the road..overall a nice place to stay.

Visited for dinner on a Friday evening. While the menu is relatively limited, the food is very well cooked and the service is very good. The dining area has always been an issue since it was added to the building sometime in the 80s / early 90s, but under the current ownership much has been done to improve the area. Overall the meal was very enjoyable.

Went today for the Sunday lunch, what we wasn’t expecting is that the traditional Sunday roast all vegetables are smothered with garlic. Not mentioned on the menu. If you like garlic on your carrots, broccoli, potatoes head down there. But it made us gag. Staff just brushed it of as normal. Not nice. Staff didn’t care. We couldn’t eat our meals .its a shame as a great setting near the river, nice pub. But who the hell have they employed to smother a traditional Sundays lunch in garlic, very strong garlic, dried up roasties. Not happy. We. Couldn’t eat the food. Bar staff shrugged at our un eaten plates. Such a shame as the pub i5self is lovely, located in a great place. Just rude staff

My daughters wedding took place at this venue last weekend. Everyone commented on how beautiful the location is and the guests that stayed here all told us how comfortable they were. The staff couldn't do enough for us. I would definitely recommend this venue even for a weekend getaway to relax.

Beautiful riverside pub and b & b with great views, good food and friendly staff. Perfect for a couple of nights stay, as the room we had in the old building was wonderfully updated, but on the smaller side. Only down side was the noisy saniflow toilet, which if the hotel was full might disturb sleep when others get up.

Me and partner stayed here on a business trip, staff very friendly and accommodating, we ate at the restaurant and the food was gorgeous along with the amazing scenery. I left my watch on the table and before realising we had left. I contacted the hotel and they straight away made arrangements for it to be returned to me free of charge. I am so grateful and will definitely be returning ! Thank you so much for your hospitality, Amber and Arthur

The Hotel was rustic, decorated with antiques Room was cozy, carpeted all accessories provided. The bathroom was quite large and maintained clean. The pub had good options and the food was excellent. Must try the crispy fish and chips and green chicken curry.. One of the best curry and fish had in whole UK. The morning egg Benedict was excellent. The surrounding was filled with nature, near the river and marina. Recommended to all

This was the fifth time we’ve had Sunday lunch recently and every one has been good. The pork was very tender, and apparently, also the beef. Portions are big and the choice of vegetables excellent - carrots, parsnips, brocolli, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes. The Yorkshire puddings are enormous. There’s a decent selection of wines and the merlot was very nice. Although it was extremely busy, service was excellent. All the staff are very friendly and efficient. It’s become our ‘go to ‘ restaurant for family lunches. We’ll be back.

Stayed for one night, the staff could not have been more helpful. I arrived late, they allowed me to order food after the kitchen had closed. Then there was an issue with my booking, from my company’s end. They were so patient, then they upgraded me to a lovely room. To finish it off, the breakfast was fantastic and the morning staff were so friendly. I was only on a work trip, but they made me feel like I was on holiday.
