I booked a 2 night stay. Upon arriving & entering the “resort” it’s nothing like I would’ve imagined. It’s nothing compared to what’s shown on the website. Looks better in photos than in person. The room was cleaned & nice yes, however on showering the first night, the shower was clogged, the towel that was provided had a stain, most likely from a previous guest. Luckily I had my own towel. The compound isn’t gated & the lack of privacy should be alarming due to the fact that anyone can walk on to the property from the back. After the first night I wanted to leave. The rooms aren’t even provided with Tea of any kind & the living area was super hot, definitely needs upgrading for the rates they charge. The bed was 2 twin beds joined together to make it their “king size” & was super uncomfortable in the middle since the springs in the bed are soon done with. The best thing about that “resort” is the pool. The property has potential to meet certain standards but that was my first horrible experience at any resort I’ve ever been. Yes, one staff member did ask me if my reason for wanting to leave had anything to do with the hotel & I told her no, because why fret and go through all the trouble to get things the way I would like it when it could’ve been avoided in the very beginning? If it really bothered me to that extent I would’ve alerted her in an instant, but I just let it go, since I’ve made up my mind I’ll never return. I think management needs to ensure these things are working properly before allowing a guest to book instead of inconveniencing them on their stay with issues that can be resolved before… I appreciate the welcoming service I received when booking the reservation through Mrs Rowe but other than that I will never be returning there.
