This place is a must go. From the moment you checkin and are greeted by Francisco to the time you leave, you feel like the most important person in the world.
The guides we had (Simon, Rudolph) were incredible and got us up close and personal with the animals.
We will be taking our family back!

We stayed for two nights, the food was very good and well presented. We enjoyed the safari drive and also the night one, even though they do not have elephants. Rooms were clean and we were surrounded by wild animals. The staff was very professional and helpful.

Vanaf het moment van aankomst tot t afscheid hebben we het gevoel gehad dat we op familiebezoek waren. De kamer was geweldig mooi. Her eren superlekker. Er werd zelfs rekening gehouden met ons koolhydraatarm dieet. De safari's waren super. De gids had heel veel kennis en wist meestal de "gewenste" dieren vrij snel te vinden. Het enige jammere was dat er bijna geen andere gasten waren en daardoor reed er maar 1 safariauto. Met meer auto's heb je meer kans op wild omdat ze dan met elkaar kunnen communiceren.

SCAM. This lodge has captive lions in a pen, and NO Elephants. This is why they demand 100% deposit upfront. Avoid this place at all costs, they literature is deceiving and we had to contact prior guests to learn that the lions are captive. This is not the African experience we hoped for, we cancelled.

We stayed at Elandela Lodge with our friends for one night in September 2023 and can only say positive things about it. The welcome was warm and the explanation of the stay was good. The room was great, with a great bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower... A small disadvantage is that there is no light switch near the bed. If you have to get up at night... The food was great and our men even got an extra portion. The game drives were just great. White lions and rhinos, ok in a sectioned off section, but, we saw them! At the end of our evening game drive there was a leopard lying in the middle of the road. Craziness!! At night you can hear the hippos and have the feeling that they are standing in front of our terrace door. But since we are experienced in Africa (we were there for the fourth time) that didn't bother us. We don't leave the room at night anyway. The next morning there were zebras and baboons in the camp. A wonderful sight. After the morning drive and the good breakfast (buffet style) we left the Elandela Lodge again. All in all it was a nice stay and we can only recommend the lodge.

We stayed at the reserve for 3 nights and 4 days from 7th-10th September. Actually we still haven’t checked out, but we can’t wait to share our experience here. Since it’s our first safari experience, we really appreciated the effort taken by the staff to make it extremely comfortable and memorable. The food is of very high standard and they are very careful to take care of any allergies (which was important for our family). Entire staff team led by Francis was super focussed at making sure our needs our met and we enjoy the holidays. Almoha was outstanding in sharing his knowledge, taking care of our meals and also walking back with us to drop us to the room when we wanted. Our hero of the trip has been our guide Lucky - he is outstanding - thanks to him we saw much beyond Big 5. We even got to witness the lion roar in front of us, all thanks to his experience in this field! I would highly recommend this reserve to friends and family.
