Hotels Near Miyake Dai 2 Park in Hiroshima

Felt welcomed by the hotel staff, shared rooms have properly divided beds. Fully equiped with basic amenities such as shampoo, body gel, towels, lockers... The lounge was full of books to read (tourism books, novels, manga...) and is tastefully decorated. Family-friendly place. Close to the local train line that travels to Miyajimaguchi harbour (Ferry to the island) in barely 6 minutes. Great experience overall.

Good points: 1. Location is amazing since it’s right on the island and everything is within walking distance. 2. We had breakfast and supper included in the stay. Food was varied and plentiful for most palates. Plenty of fruit and veg too. 3. Staff for 98% of the time was great. Language barriers are expected. Google translate is a perfect alternative to the translation issue. The front desk staff were awesome and was extremely helpful. 4. Room is spacious for a traditional Japanese hotel. We had our own onsen which was delightful. The beds were mostly comfortable and we had two full mattresses pushed together creating a massive king! 5. Once you enter the hotel you must take off your shoes and the hotel provides house slippers which generally fit most people. The lobby has shoe cubbies for your shoes. They do not lock, but Japan has very little petty theft so you don’t need to fret over potential thievery. Negative points: 1. This is of no fault of the hotel, rather it’s a Google maps problem. Be aware Google maps will basically have you climb the mountain and drag your suitcase through a dirt path. Instead put in the Miyajima post office and with the water to your right, turn up to the small road with the post office to your back. Keep going straight for about 2.5 city blocks and you’ll walk right into the hotel. Much easier than the 40 minute hike we took. 2. Restaurant staff on the whole were great. Only issue was this morning when we went to breakfast this morning and tried to sit in our usual table, the staff tried to sit us with some other people. I asked if we could sit at a different table and the individual said no and walked away. We didn’t know these people they tried to sit us with. However, they were tourists like us. I was frustrated because the staff member just walked away from us when I was still speaking to him. Very rude! 3. The toilet room smelled really bad. It was a combination of mold and chemicals.

I stayed overnight on a girl trip. The room was very clean and the customer service was very good. The morning and dinner were half buffet, but the midnight snack was very delicious with steak and seafood teppanyaki. I was happy to have beer, soft drink ice cream, etc. for free after the bath, and the free rental of yukata was great. However, if I only say one thing, there was no free transfer from the station → Hotel after 19:00, so I headed to the hotel after a night cruise, but there was no taxi at all and I walked to the hotel. Heading to I was quite tired. I would be happy if there was a free transfer until a little later.

I suddenly decided to go to Hiroshima and decided to stay here without doing much research, thinking I might as well stay in Miyajima. In conclusion, I don't recommend this place to anyone other than those who are coming by car or backpackers who just want a cheap place to stay. Good points: - The room is clean and there is enough space to open a suitcase - The bathroom is very clean - There is a large public bath - Separate bathroom and toilet, shampoo, treatment, body soap, hair dryer available - Price Bad points: - I booked an ocean view room for 5900 yen, but they told me that this room is in the annex, so if I didn't come by car, I should walk to the annex → It's a steep slope and it's reckless to move around with a suitcase - When I asked if there were any rooms in the main building, they said there were some available, but it would cost an additional 300 yen (I was tired so I gave up and paid) - The only way to get to the room on the second floor is by stairs - The road from the station is not well paved, so if you have a suitcase, it will definitely take more than twice as long - Trip.com says check-in is at 14:00, but when I went around 14:30, they seemed annoyed that check-in is at 15:00

From the former local people, I was able to stay at the ”health pension hall”? The image of the hall is strong, but it feels like a cheap price zone in the pack tour now. It is close to Peace Park, but the location is halfway and the city trams are not available. However, because it is a main street to the residential area sandwiched between the city trams, the bus is very frequent and it is not early at night, but you can ride almost without a timetable. In front of the hotel, the route 24 of the red bus (Hiroshima bus) and the Yoshishima line (Hiroshima station ～ hachichobori ～ Kamiya Cho ~ Peace Park) pass through the main area at the stop called 'kakomachi' (next to peace park), so it is worth using as well as the city tram It should be quite old, but it doesn't look old and the building is relatively clean I think the room is renovated and spacious and comfortable. I think it is better than the hotel in the center, but because it is a business hotel, the amenities are small, and the soundproofing measures such as the wall are poor. The elementary school student on the day of the school excursion occupied the floor below, but the sound of running around seemed to be quite echoing, and there are many student groups depending on the day as the hotel name.

The bedlinen is super soft to sleep on. Nice river views too right in front of my room. Love the location too. Very close to all the attraction I needed to go. We love this hotel very much. Thumb up for this hotel.

Situated only a couple of minutes walk from Hondori shopping street and about 10 minutes walk, depending on if you’re a snail pace walker or someone who walks as fast as an angry mother who’s about to complain to the school board about something, from the Peace Memorial Park lies Santiago Guest House. A hostel that is a bit of a pain to find with it only being sign posted by those hanging signs attached to high rise buildings that are literally everywhere in Japan. With said buildings hosting separate businesses on each floor, it may stress you out finding it but upon entry the stress will go bye bye from its general aesthetically pleasing outlook. A modern and polished looked hostel who’s reception lies right next the common room and kitchen area, giving everyone in there a look at the fresh meat coming in. The common area and reception give a friendly vibe out from the on set with bean bags, couches, two TVs (one with a PlayStation 3) and shelves holding games and cuddly toys for you to spoon like they’re your partner whilst watching a rom com on Netflix. Generally the 6th floor where there is one dorm room and the kitchen and common area is quality. The kitchen is a little small in size but it does the job plus you’re in Japan where bento boxes are a way of life. Plus you can always just jaunt to the local supermarket- Yours- between 8:15 – 8:40pm where the bento boxes, salad and sushi goes half price, which the foreign helpers for free accommodation do pretty much every night. A really nice modern hotel with clean and stylish rooms although rather compact. Breakfast had a nice selection of Japanese and Western options. The Riverside cafe was still closed following Covid however the hotel is a short walk to Hiroshima Train Station which has a wonderful food hall and there's a Family Mart down the street. Shukkeien Gardens is close by and worth a visit. Service and staff great. Will definitely stay here again.

If you stay at a business hotel with three families, there are many places to add extra beds to the twin room, but this hotel has an adjacent twin room and a double room in the room connectivity There was a connecting room connected by the gingdoor, so it was very comfortable to stay with family 3 people. The bathroom used a large twin room and the toilet used both. Breakfast buffet was not luxurious, but it was a good content for the price. The hotel parking lot is on the 4th floor ～ 8th floor of EKI City Hiroshima opposite the hotel. Going to 1F by B elevator from the parking lot and going out in front of the hotel. Parking fee is 1,200 yen per night and will be paid at the hotel front desk at check-in. It is not a luxurious hotel, but it is located in a good location to access the station, there is also a parking lot, and the accommodation fee and breakfast fee were cheap, and it was able to stay in a clean and relaxing room. I thought it was a very good hotel considering the cost performance.
