Stella Palace Aqua Park Resort

We went in october and have to say its very average at best, food is repetitive and lack variety, drinks are very so so . water park is ok. The area itself needs some TLC at the very least. What I find unforgivable is things going missing from our room. My wifes clothes were taken from a cupboard and to be fair we probably wouldnt have noticed until we got home, but these were her going home clothes and then it hit us. We spoke to reception who said that they probably got mixed up with the laundry. Seems very unlikely due to the laundry being white and the clothes being black and red (and as said before they were in a cupboard). To make things clear I love the greek island for holidays and I normally never have anything bad to say about a holiday on one of them. Reception did give us a complimentary room for the rest of our last day which apparently we should be incredibly grateful for but really doesnt make up for us feeling completely violated, by someone going through our possessions, the only saving grace is that the guilty party didnt take more. Looking on social media its clear that this isnt an isolated incident though as some peoples trainers have gone missing, someone elses jacket, some head phones. A real real shame and the hotel management should be embarrassed

Not a 5 star, iv given it a 3 because that’s what we felt it was and have been to better 4 stars. The hotel itself has the attention to be a 5 star but most staff need changing, they are rude, abrupt and hostile, even on reception! Only a couple of barmen were professional and polite, the staff in the main restaurant were awful, don’t wait for you to pass, barge into you and the time you have to wait for your drink to come is unacceptable, we had almost finished! We gave up in the end and insisted on going to the drinks area and get our own, much faster! Housekeeping was also poor and they done the basic that they can, I say basic but sometimes the bins weren’t even changed. This hotel has the most basic housekeeping iv ever experienced and feel we would not been better off self catering, they made the bed and changed the towels. The food is average, they don’t even have a fish and meat chef that cooks to order! We got reservations for all the restaurants luckily but they were hit and miss only liking 3 out of the 6. Enzo, Almyra and Abrazo. Our room was nice as it should be but the smell of drains prevented us using one bathroom and toilet and we had to keep those doors shut. I did inform reception of that problem but it wasn’t addressed. Some of the waterpark staff are rude and contradicting, only some stick to “the rules” that appear to be made up as they go along, and WARNING, although my son is nearly 140cm tall there’s a few things he couldn’t go on, even with an adult! And my other son who is a centre metre off 120 couldn’t go on many at all, again not even with an adult! A lot of parents had issues with this as nothing prewarns nor is it addressed on their website! For a lot of families this is a main factor when booking their holiday. We believe this hotel has plenty of great reviews because if you go to book a year ahead their are plenty of room options, around 17 I believe ranging from £2000 to £7000, when we booked we only had one option which was around £5000. So yes, if you book the budget room in the busier area of the hotel but still get the same use and facilities as those paying £7000 of course you are going to be happy and think it’s amazing. We however have learnt the hard way and wouldn’t return, also what hotel charges guests extra to use the hotel gym! Ridiculous and many things need addressing here. If you do go be aware the hotel is very isolated and not much around, we took a taxi to aqua world in hersonnisos which was defiantly worth it, such a lovely run place and the animals are very well cared for, you get to interact with many and I lost my fear of snakes here, ended up hiking a huge yellow snake alone, when I came in I wouldn’t even go near it! This was a highlight of our trip and it was nice to get away from the hotel for the day.

Our family and our friends family have recently returned from Stella Palace and we are still talking about how amazing it was. This was our second visit and plan to visit again next year. Upon arrival at Stella Village, they informed us that we had been upgraded to a direct pool access room in their 5 star Stella Palace. Having stayed in the Village previously, we were blown away by the luxury and high standard in the Palace. The rooms were very similar to the deluxe rooms in the Village, however the durect access to a sharung pool was incredible. The Palace dining options were amazing. The quality of the food in all areas of the Palace was incredible. We dined in the Veranda restaurant for breakfast and this was truly a 5 star experience. A live pianist every morning playing a baby grand piano was amazing. The mixologist in the lobby bar made excellent cocktails, way better than the rest of the bars. All the staff were so nice and friendly. I couldn't say enough about them. The cleaning staff also were superb, the resort was spotless. We recieved 2 complimentary meals in their a la carte restaurants. We ate in the Veranda restaurant and it was fantastic. We cannot wait to return. Only tip is to book your meals/spa treatments before arrival as almost everything was already booked out for much of our stay upon arrival. The aqua park is wonderful and you would find it difficult to find a better 5 star Hotel Aqua Park in all of Greece ( I have tried to find similar a different this is definitely the best).
