Very good, it's a bit old.

We had a good stay at Hotel Arthur. The location was pretty convenient for us - it was a 5 minute walk from Helsinki's Central Station for platforms going to/from the airport, tram service was nearby and it was within a 15-20 minute walk of everything we wanted to see in Helsinki. We booked this hotel because it was inexpensive for our stay and it was pretty pleasant.The breakfast was included with our stay and was welcome as well. We booked a twin room with two twin beds. The beds were comfy and we found extra pillows in the closet. We had a really good sleep each night at the hotel because it was very quiet. The room had a couple of chairs including a pretty big cushioned one, a desk and a TV that was mounted high. The room could be a little better with the cleaning of the tv remote and kettle but the beds and bathroom were fine. The hotel is over 100 years old and we felt the hotel showed its age the most in the room because there are some renovations that have been done over the years and it is pretty evident . Our room only had plug-ins at the desk and there was none near the night stand by the beds. The closets were in need of some maintenance because the door tracks were a bit stiff, the floor was peeling and the drywall in the back was loose. The shower used to have sliding doors as evident by the track that wasn't removed but the shower had a curtain that was too short and the floor squeegee was there for a reason because the water went everywhere when I showered. Shower pressure was fine and it was easy to get plenty of hot water. You may want to consider bringing your own bath products because the shower gel was meant for hand soap, body wash and shampoo. The hotel has saunas that you can book upon request. If you book your hotel reservation directly through the hotel you can get a discounted rate of 8 euros per person for the sauna but if you book through another website it is 10 euros per person. There is a nicer sauna that is shown in the pictures of the hotel but it fills up pretty quickly. We got the other sauna and it was ok but was in need of some cleaning because previous guests left their wet towels all over the place instead of in the towel bin located under a bench. We felt it was silly to charge a different rate if you booked through another platform because we wouldn't have heard of this hotel if we didn't use the platform we used! The breakfast was pretty standard and I had a nice English breakfast each day from the buffet. The mushrooms, sausage and hash browns were my favourite but I grew to enjoy the scrambled eggs during my stay because they add something to it that I'm not used to. They also had yoghurt, cereals, cold cut meats, fruit and cheese amongst other standard breakfast staples. They had a juice dispenser, a small selection of tea and black coffee. They also had items that you could pay for at the bar like a cappuccino or chocolate chip muffin. The reception area was pretty good. They had luggage storage and quite a few chairs to sit in. My wife liked their small souvenir shop and got some cute post cards. The staff are very helpful and can provide recommendations for the city. The reception also provide tea and sugar for your room and you can pick up your rations daily. They do not provide regular cleaning for the rooms but you can arrange cleaning or new towels through reception. There are plenty of sights to see nearby as well as cafes, restaurants and shopping malls. The tram is a short walk away and that was very convenient for us as we did a day trip to Tallinn using the ferries to go across the sea. We booked this hotel because it was affordable in a pretty expensive city and we would still recommend it if the pieces are fair. It was a good place to sleep and unwind after each day we spent exploring the area.

Very clean hotel, really nice lobby and welcome by staff with good location. There are meeting rooms, sauna, gym etc and the breakfast was nice. My room was on the west wing instead of main building which was quite a walk from loft area especially with large luggages. Only coffee/tea/chocolate and hot kettle, as well as bath soap. There are hangers and safety deposit box. No other amenities (toothbrush toothpaste comb etc) provided. Bed is big and comfortable. Aircon does not turn off even when putting the thermostate to zero speed…too cold! Cleaning tool left in bathroom by housekeeping not sure why, was moved from one corner of bathroom to another even after i mentioned to reception…strange!

This is where I got my membership thanks to the very kind reception Jansen if Im not mistaken. He is very accommodating and kind . I like this Hotel . I even got upgraded to Jr Suite in Gothenburg .

Having arrived early on an overnight flight, I went to the hotel at 9am and was told that I would receive a message when the room was ready. Having heard nothing I returned at midday to be told that my room was ready but I had to pay 20 Euros extra to check into it prior to 2pm. When I finally got the key, I got no clear directions on how to find my room and it took me 15 minutes to get there dragging around my heavy bag with no staff assistance. - Not even room cleaning staff that I met while trying to navigate the maze of corridors and various lifts that serviced only specific levels were able to tell me where the room was. Similarly when I checked out, I found a more direct route by dragging my bag over the cobblestone courtyard, only to be locked out on the otherside. The steps at the front of the hotel were also challenging with a suitcase.

The entrance is difficult to find. You can use the navigation to go through the shopping mall directly opposite the train station. However, if you take the side road, the wheels of the suitcase will make noise and it will be difficult to drag. The hotel is newly renovated and has the smell of a new hotel. The design is very good. However, none of the windows could be opened. I asked the front desk for safety reasons. I personally don't particularly like this. But everything else is fine. The hotel bathroom is also very big.

I arrived before check-in and the front desk staff was kind enough to see if any rooms were ready and I even got an upgrade, which included a tv in the room so I could watch the 2024 Euro Cup! The walls were thin and my neighbor was a prolific snorer. As a solo traveler, it’s nice to have a fridge and fridge I can keep my food in when I don’t want to eat out a restaurant alone! The shower water was surprisingly hot and stayed consistent despite the motion activated sensors. The location is quiet and convenient if you’re a prolific walker like myself! (24,000 steps a day) The hostel also has a restaurant attached for a quick breakfast or dinner.

This hotel can be seen when you exit the central station, and it is only two or three minutes' walk away. There is a shopping mall downstairs of the hotel, and commercial facilities such as restaurants are very convenient. The hotel is within walking distance of major attractions, without taking a car. If it is at night, you can ring the doorbell next to the gate, and the waiter will open the door for you. The front desk waitress is very enthusiastic, smiling and serving, patiently answering questions, and explaining the relevant matters clearly. The corridors of the guest rooms are very spacious, the rooms are also spacious, the sheets and quilts are snow-white, and it is very comfortable to live in. The room offers a beautiful night view of Helsinki, with neon lights flashing and colorful. The bathroom facilities are complete, with a hair dryer, and the shower water temperature is stable and the water flow is large. It is particularly worth mentioning that the buffet breakfast is very rich, and the dining environment is warm and quiet. After checking out, you can store your bag for free. The storage room is at the door. The waiter gives you a door card. Swipe the card to open the door and store the bag. Swipe the card when taking the bag. After taking the bag, put the door card in a small locked box and close the door and leave. I didn't see any Chinese tourist groups during my stay, which is very suitable for free travelers. Recommended to friends who come to Helsinki for free travel.

Strategically located and within walking distance to Helsinki Central Station for 30 minutes ride to Helsinki Vantaa Airport. Walking to Old Market Hall, Senate Square, Helsinki Catheral and Uspenskin Katedraali. Late checkout until 4pm possible by paying 20 Euro extension fees. Highly recommended to stay for easy access to town area, shopping, grocery, restaurants and supermarkets. Daily Western breakfast buffet provided is adequate.

The hotel location is really good and just next to the mall and train station, there is a tram stop just in the outside of entrance. The reception was not helpful and not hospitable. The facilitation in the hotel room like telephone did not work. You needed to getdown stairs to report the issue. The AC and telephone did not work, i went downstairs to report to the reception, they said they would deal with it, but there was no one to fix it. Two stays there, no AC. The breakfast was great. I hope their staff really be well trained once they got an complaint from customer about their room.
