I stayed there for a couple of nights in July. I really liked it. Took the train from the airport to the central station and it is literally around the corner. I’m not that familiar with the prices in Finland, but I know it can be expensive. It was about $100 USD a night. Clean rooms, good breakfast and friendly front desk who were nice enough to speak English with me. The hotel seemed pretty empty but it is large so that may be part of it. The large empty halls had a feeling of the “Shining” which I really liked, but let’s be honest. Finland is kind of spooky anyway - in a good way.
Strategically located opposite of the Central Railway Station and only a 30 minute train or taxi ride from the award-winning Helsinki Airport. Business travelers will be in the immediate vicinity of key industries and Government entities including the University of Helsinkis central campus. Leisure guests will also benefit from being within a five minute walk from nearby shopping outlets and tourist attractions such as the Helsinki Market Square and Finnish National Theater.

Good internal structure and facilities. Very good. Instead, it is an expensive hotel.
Very close to Helsinki Central Station.
After taking the train from Helsinki Airport and arriving at Helsinki Central Station, the first huge and handsome building you see when you come out of the main gate is the Sokos Hotel. Sokos Hotel is a hotel that costs approximately 190 euros per night. If you look to the left from the front, there are a number of buildings, one of which is the Grand Hansa Hotel. From the outside, it is an unremarkable hotel. The 'Grand Hansa' hotel is a hotel that costs approximately 350 euros per night.
It's expensive, so it's definitely a good hotel. There are various amenities, including restaurants and shopping, right in front of the hotel. You can buy clothes, shoes, and cosmetics at the Stocmann Department Store right in front.
There is also a large bookstore nearby.

The team is super friendly & warm - always smiling & assisting with questions, directions & suggestions. Clean Rooms With 100% noise cutting windows. We stayed in the basic room facing the road & slept blissfully all nights. The Marski has the best best breakfast spread I have ever seen in a hotel in all my 27 years of travel. They have options for every kind of guest. It's unbelievably thoughtful Though we didn't go to the bar, it was packed most evenings with DJ music playing & gave the hotel a lively atmosphere

This is a great addition to the Helsinki Scandic range, converting an old building into a stunning new hotel. It is pretty big (over 300 rooms) but there is enough space for everything to happen. Rooms are lovely and well designed. Rooms sizes and shapes vary because of the building conversion. Some have baths. The superior rooms are all gorgeous and face the church square. Everything in the room worked well and internal noise insulation was excellent. Good air-con and free wi-fi. Blackout curtains were efficient and lighting very well managed. Breakfast is in a vast but multi-roomed area with some seating outside in the atrium. Nothing was missing from the buffet and despite the number of guests it all worked well with plenty of seating. The location of the hotel is also good, very central, 5 minutes’ walk from the Kamppi shopping centre (and metro) and 3 minutes’ walk from tram stops.

From the moment we walked in at 10am everything was no trouble. We were greeted by Antoaneta and Zimming who were beautiful ladies. There smiles are incredible the Hotel is something they are all very proud of. Our room was exactly what we needed after spending 4 weeks on the road driving through Sweden Denmark and Norway. We arrived early but that was ok they let us have our room early as it was ready. Location was about 800mtr walk from downtown Helsinki but this Hotel has lovely quaint restaurants and all the shops are close by. We had breakfast 100mts at cafe. 50mtrs to a tram and bus.

I had a very good sleep in this hotel. My room on 5th floor was facing the backyard of the Expo and Convention Centre, so the view was not even close to beautiful, but room was very quiet. Thanks to the efficient air conditioning, it was easy to get my room to cool enought for a good sleep. However, I would have preferred a softer bed and pillows. The room was clean and it had everything I needed for one night stay. Breakfast buffet was nice, nothing surprising though. The service was ok. As a Finn travelling in Finland I think the staff should be able to speak fluent Finnish, for example to to ensure the service level of elderly people. Unfortunately this wasn't the case with every customer service person in Holiday Inn, some spoke only a few words in Finnish or just didn't want to use the language. The location of the hotel is central and it's super easy to get to Tripla Mall or Pasila railway station.

The location is in the middle of main station and ferry terminal, convenient if you are visiting Tallin as well. The room isn't very big but with everything needs, the outdoor pool and sauna is one of the highlights, just the weather is too chill to stay long around christmas time. Breakfast has much options, mainly in Finish style with much variety.
Overall speaking, it's a great deal of money with the service, location and facilities, even for peak season.

Enjoyed a 4 night stay mainly to watch the UEFA Supercup match. Was given room 807 on the 8th floor, what a fantastic view over the water, park and in the distance could see the Olympic Stadium Tower. The room was very comfortable, nice comfortable double bed, large tv, fridge, usual kettle, ironing items, digital safe and slippers/housecoats. I plugged in my Amazon firestick to the hdmi port on the tv so then had access to Netflix/Amazon video etc The wifi was very strong. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with a good selection of items, the morning after the uefa match myself and I think many others slept in, I went down at 0930 and was difficult to find a seat for breakfast however the staff working done a fantastic job in clearing tables and keeping fresh food available, big well done to them! Hotel location is just out of the main area but only two stops on the metro and your in the main train station, or the bus outside take you in too. Outside the hotel there’s always been plenty of these e-scooters which are handy to ride to the metro station or for me to hesburger! There’s also a small supermarket across from the hotel for stocking up snacks etc For transportation I downloaded the HSL app so bought tickets using the app, also I used Uber/Bolt apps for taxis. If you use Bolt then use my referral “RONNIEKPZ” I used bolt from the hotel to the airport and cost was €25 that was because I was a new user. Handy if you have heavy lugguge!

Small room especially toliet only allowed one person to stay inside. Room looked new but mold was found on the side of the wash basin and the exhaust fan. Easy to hurt your legs and get bruised when you got out of bed because there was a wooden slats around the bed. No luggage rack; thus, the luggage could only be opened by placing it on the floor. The privacy at wellness center was poor. The female changing room door could directly go to the wellness centre but No screen between the changing room door and the wellness center. When you were changing your clothes, anyone in the wellness center could look clearly what you are doing in the changing room. The water in the hot tub was not hot enough. It was difficult to contact reception by phone because no one answered the phone at any time.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located very close to the central station with many restaurants and cafes in the surroundings. The facilities are very new and clean. However the rooms are not quite like the pictures, the standard double room we booked is so small that we can only open one luggage at a time and we ended upgrading to another room type. It's not a big difference in terms of money but we feel scammed and the perception isn't great.
Another thing when we tried to use the sauna their staff told us we needed to pay for it and book a session in advance (at least two hours in advance I believe), which no one mentioned before not even when we check-in nor printed anywhere in the hotel.
Overall the hardware is og high quality and I'm quite happy with it, however, the software in terms of service and communication has plenty of room to grow.
HheidiOverall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing.
I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip.
Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest.
Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion.
Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity.
In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank you
GGuest UserWhen we arrived, receptionist was helpful, giving us information what we needed. Visit top floor restaurant make me feel good, thinking how many times I’ve been here, over 20 years, and still it’s nice place relax, take a beer. After evening walks, we go cafeteria restaurant, in street view, enjoy hot, fresh good coffee.( it’s very important to my wife) And also there is quality drinks. Room is very clean, I was hoping big bed, when I made my reservation, and I get that, thankfully I sleep like a baby. Location is super middle of Helsinki, train station, taxi, supermarket, just go out, and you are already there. We definitely come back. Thank you for all, and special thanks for Anna reception.
WWalkerThis place hands down is an absolutely unique experience on its own, to voluntarily stay in a prison haha. The staff was extremely personable, knowledgeable and helpful with any requests we had. We were staying there to celebrate New Year's Eve and they recommend it lots of great places to go. The hotel/ prison itself was amazing just to be in. The restaurant downstairs had exceptional food for dinner and breakfast. Will definitely stay longer on our next vacation. The hotel is within walking distance to the center of the city as well as the Capitol building. The location is perfect if you want to celebrate New Year's Eve festivities which are held in the plaza outside of the Capitol building. Unforgettable time!
Easy check in, kind staff, very clean and modern apartmens with basically everything you need. Also very close to Helsinki centrum. The price is not too bad either given the location and the apartment standard. We stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful time at Noli Katajanokka. You have a full equipped kitchen to cook breakfast/dinner and a K-Market on the side of the building. Theres also a gym next to Noli. 5/5 stars. Recommend to book your stay here.
KKK ~Overall really nice and centrally located hotel. Close to the main railway station. All floors have different themes related to Finnish nature (Winter storm, Midsummer, Fairytale forest, Sisu, Tranquility) and the front desk let us choose between a couple of themes. We weren't sure what they were going to be like, but chose Fairytale forest, which was ok.
The room was a bit on the small side and with a view to an inner courtyard - however this was to be expected with the room type. The room was really quiet, which was a bonus in the middle of the city! Breakfast was nice, mostly European style with breads etc. Would definitely recommend the hotel for the central location and Finnish style, if you want to experience that.
JJingwufushengThe location is good, but compared to Hilton and Scandic outside, the location advantage is not as big as the room disadvantage.
If you are willing to walk for 10 minutes, the two outside ones are better.
Another advantage is that if you check in at the Hilton before 2pm, you will have to pay an extra 15 euros, but you don’t have to pay this.
GGuest UserThe location is very good, the port can be reached on foot. The hotel also belongs to a business district. The hotel is also very new. The room has a pole for drying clothes, which is very important. The room was hygienic. When I checked in, I found that there was blood on the wall and no one was clean. The washstand in the bathroom is a bit low. The hotel can walk to the old town, and it is acceptable for people who travel not far. The room size is quite large and the price is cheap. Overall it is recommended to stay.
GGuest UserWelcome to your build-your-own gulag experience ! This hostel was just a joke. I arrived at 11 pm , layover of 12 hours, so I was too cheap for the Hilton . I thought, well sounds good, hotel with your own bed, bathrooms shared ,how bad could it be. It was the typical grey and icy Finland experience everyone imagines .Well, I marched over to the hostel from the airport, at night with my google maps, so somehow I found it. I wouldn’t advise any females doing this at that time. It’s practically walking out of the arrival hall, past the finavia pilot building (right side) then straight ahead, left continue past the parking lot and the traffic light left again and after the bridge 200 meters right. The code they sent me reliably worked but the room was a joke. There is no reception, nobody to help in case something goes wrong. It didn’t, fortunately. Back to the room : Maybe 10m2. 1 coffee machine and a hot water kettle but not even 1 miserable pack of instant coffee for 85$? Not even the bed was made, you arrive and make it. Worse than a gulag. Same atmosphere by the way. Ice cold outside. The showers were dirty, the bathroom clean, I wouldn’t ever come back. I guess sleeping at the airport is still more fun than on this 80 cm x 180 cm bed. Not kidding. I liked the view onto trees and ice, something new for me, being 300 days a year at tropical beaches …
