We returned to Idle and Wild after our first stay 25 years ago. A few changes in that time, there were only two rondavels then and it was a mango farm and later to be a macadamia farm. Again we weren’t disappointed. We stayed for three nights in the honeymoon’ rondavel and ate breakfast on the veranda of the main house. Our hosts couldn’t have made us more welcome. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! CONVIENENT LOCATION. BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS. COMFORTABLE, AND AFFORDABLE LODGEING. MY SON AND I SPENT 5 NIGHTS IN RONDOVAL #2 ON OUR 12 DAY DREAM TRIP TO SOUTH AFRICA. CONNIE, AND SON, THINUS, WERE AMAZINGLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL WITH INSIGHTS AND LOCAL TIPS! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BOOK BREAKFAST! THE ONLY DOWNSIDE FOR US WAS THAT THE MAIN ROAD WAS BEING RESURFACED WHILE WE WERE THERE WHICH CREATED A BIT OF A DISTRACTION.

A hidden gem. Lovely welcome from Connie, who is a fantastic hostess. Accomm is convenient for Kruger Park with two gates close by.
The location is quiet and beautiful with a pool and gardens.
Breakfast was very good
Would definitely stay again if in the area

Lovely chalets with a wonderful atmosphere! Has air conditioners and heated blankets so whatever the weather you’ll be happy! The beds are very comfy and bathrooms in wonderful condition! Very nice thatch roofs that give a wonderful atmosphere! Lovely staff and pets! The breakfast is amazing and all you could ask for!

Idle & Wild continues to provide wonderful accommodation for those visiting this part of the country, especially those entering or leaving the Kruger National Park. The accommodations are set in beautiful gardens, which one can enjoy while enjoying a delicious breakfast on the spacious patio.

Such a lovely and peaceful property. We stayed just one night but would have loved to stay longer. Thinnus was an excellent host and provided great tips for our drive along the Panorama Route. The cottage and the Honeymoon Rondavel were very comfortable. We look forward to our next stay!

Everything very nice. The rondavels pretty but wifi not working there. You have to sit by the reception.It nicer sitting in the early morning in your terras with your cup of coffee and enjoy the birds.
