Großes Zimmer (superior) mit Terrasse und Strandkorb, sauber und bequemen Betten. Das Frühstück was sehr umfangreich, für jeden war etwas dabei. Am ersten Abend haben wir im Restaurant Deichgraf gegessen, lecker Essen, preislich aber ambitioniert. Das Ambiente in der "Guten Stube" hat uns überzeugt. Lage ist toll.

Der erste Versuch nach dem Besitzerwechsel habe ich Ende Oktober gewagt. Die erste Enttäuschung ist, dass es keine Sauna mehr gibt. Ein wenig an Charme hat es auch verloren. Die Zimmer haben keine Inselbezeichnungen mehr etc.. Aber teilweise ist renoviert worden. Das Restaurant hat immer noch eine kleine Karte und die Speisen damit frisch und lecker sind. Es fehlen ein paar Menschen die ich aus den Jahren vorher kannte, unter anderem im Frühstücksraum. Insgesamt die Preise deutlich angezogen und dafür finde ich die Leistung wenn ich da nur schlafe, nicht mehr gerechtfertigt.

Leider sind die Zimmer extrem hellhörig. Unser Zimmer war zudem extrem winzig. Das Bad ebenso, mit einem winzigen Waschbecken (Gäste-WC mäßig). Um 8:15 Uhr steht bereits das Zimmermädchen an der Tür und klopft. Trotz unserem „jetzt bitte nicht“, da wir im Bad waren, versuchte sie die Türe zu öffnen. Danach rief sie über den Gang „ die pennen noch“. Sehr unschön! Im Gang und Treppenhaus stehen Tag und Nacht die Servicewägen herum. Frühstück bis 10 Uhr und mit guter Auswahl. Leider beginnt das Personal um 9:45 Uhr die Tische abzuräumen und aufzuräumen. Wir wären gerne noch ein bisschen gesessen, aber wir sind dann gegangen. Man könnte bei richtiger Führung etwas Tolles aus diesem Hotel mit sehr schöner Lage machen.
