The staff is great, the hotel was very clean. The pool and hot tub are open ( of course with limited people allowed at one time). The bar and restaurant were closed but the do have a mini bar at the front desk and great eateries you can walk to right out front. The fitness room was clean. Also would like to say Andre ( I think was his name) is a great employee and has a great sense of humor 😊. Glad to hear your training taller staff 😂

Great reason to book is the full kitchen with the room. Helps to cook your own meals when you have special diet needs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little older, but no issues with our room

A large, comfy, quiet room close to where we needed to be. I’ve never driven in the Houston area, though, and the one-way roads around the location made getting around a bit confusing. The breakfast was completely lackluster, but will do if you have limited alternatives. However, the close proximity to the reason for my travel and comfort would bring me back during future trips.

Fantastic stay with incredible service. I highly recommend this SpringHill Suites location. I was warmly greeted by both front desk agents with a gift bag. Inside were snacks and a handwritten note with my name on it, thanking me for staying and for being a Bonvoy member. The room was large with comfortable beds, great water pressure, cold A/C, fast and free WiFi, and a spacious work station. There were tons of outlets and USB ports. The free breakfast was great with hot pre-made breakfast sandwiches, quiches, waffles, oatmeal, pastries, cereal, and more. Lots of free parking. Conveniently located. I really appreciated the personal touch and commitment to service. I'll be back next month!

A very conveniently located hotel within about 10 to 15 minute walk to Space Center Houston. Being able to walk there saves on parking and negotiating the busy roads. Everything with the hotel is brand new and the room (332) was spotless. Beds were very comfortable. Although breakfast is not complimentary, there is a bistro which serves breakfast in the morning and Starbucks coffee. Breakfasts are pretty good and the bistro offers casual fare in the evening. I really liked the location of the hotel, lots of places to eat within walking distance and convenient if you’re visiting the NASA complex. Definitely recommended!

As expected there were changes due to Covid, no breakfast or bar. Location was great with water view. Room was nice except we were told 2 Queen beds but they were Doubles instead. Also shower was almost impossible to turn on. If an older person was in room they may not have been able to turn shower on

The hotel is well kept and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. They currently are not doing any breakfast due to whole COVID thing. The beds are extremely comfortable. The staff is on point. I cant believe I didn't take any pictures to help with my review, but this was a business trip so I was preoccupied. There are plenty of restaurant choices within a 2 minute drive. If you are on foot there is a decent pizza place right in front of the hotel. Natalie was exceptional, she worked the midday shift at the front desk and doubled as the bartender, she was super personalble and made the stay that much more enjoyable. The bar is open til 10 as of now, just so ya know!! If you are in town this is a great place and that is coming from someone who is pretty loyal the Hilton brand, I may be rethinking that!!

Van not shuttle When the hotel shuttle came to get us at the airport, I was underwhelmed to see it was a mini van with a courtyard sticker on the side doors. This should've been the clue that the hotel was not going to be what it usually is for Marriot Courtyard. Lobby/Hotel/Breakfast The lobby front desk service waa good and from the outside of the hotel and lobby it looked like a usual Marriot Courtyard. The entire first floor also. Breakfast is an additional charge; not included as typical for Marriot Courtyards. Room There is a musty/almost moldy smell upon entering the room. Chipped wall paint, cracked bath tub and carpet is enough for me to hypothesize that this was a former motel and they just didn't give it the upgrade to match the usual Marriot Courtyard standards. If you're here to rest your head for a night, sure it's fine, but don't expect it to be the typical Marriot Courtyard standard.

So my sister and I stayed at this location in April 2024. She booked the rooms as she is an Elite member and we got two adjoining King rooms. I got to the hotel and found that it is the type of hotel where the hallway is open so you can see down into the lobby and they have a glass elevator. That is something I should have paid attention to and looked at further pictures of the hotel. I never would have stayed there as I dont like heights. My fault not the hotels. We go to the rooms and they were very nice. Nice modern bathroom, everything seemed clean and comfortable. We put some stuff away and went to have lunch with relatives. While we were away my sister telephoned the hotel, explained the situation on my not wanting to be on that high of a floor and they moved us to the third floor when we got back. That is when things started to change. My tv had the cable unplugged and I could not get it plugged in so they sent someone up right away to fix it. That was fine but my sister's phone was not working and they said they would send someone to repair it and never did. It was incredibly cold so we mentioned it leaving for the evening and they said they would send someone up. When we got back it had gone from incredibly cold to hot and the phone still did not work. I was able to sleep most of the night and we were busy the next day so didnt mention it. Before we left for the day we had the breakfast buffet and we enjoyed it and the female server we had who was very nice and in fact we had her all three days and hated to tell her goodbye. We came back late in the evening to a still hot room but again since they had moved us I thought I could sleep again through the night but I woke up at least twice as it was too hot. The next morning I got up and my sister told me she had ants on her counter. We stopped by the desk on the way out and told them about the heat and the ants. When we returned that evening both rooms had been cooled down however she discovered ants on the bed she had been using . They were gone from the counter and now were in the bed. She went down to the desk and they informed her they could move her to a room around the corner from mine as they had no one to take care of the ant problem that night. She moved her items into the other room and when I went to help her came back to discover that I no longer get into MY room because the keys would not work. I dont know if it was because she had moved her room and her name was on both rooms or what but after going back to he desk not once but twice for new keys with no success they sent an employee up and he fixed my door. This was after my sister's keys didn't work the first day and they had given her a new set which never worked but we didn't bother changing them because my room was connected. The hotel itself was beautiful. The employees were helpful but the things that occurred should never have happened in the first place. I would not have sta

Checked in online but when we got to hotel no one was at the desk so had to wait on Nina to get a card key who acted as if she was drunk and basically just stares at you. Finally get checked get to the room and looked clean however found a live roach in the bathroom. Let that go as we are close to the water. Went to bed and was jarred awake at 1:15 in the morning by someone opening the door to our room. They did not knock, or announce who they were until we screamed at them. Thankfully we had the bar on the door or he would have been in the room. Claimed he was maintenance, of course cannot sleep after this incident. Call the desk at 7am and told they would find out and let me know what had happened and why. No call or explanation so I go to the front desk at 10:30 to get information on why. Same blank stare from Nina who proceeds to give me bull story that there was a water leak and they didn’t know room was occupied and I should lock the door next time. Still not an apology so I go back to the room and as I get in the elevator I’m watching Nina on the phone laughing and watching me. Get back to the room to shower and find more roaches and there is no hot water at all, let it run for 30 minutes still nothing. Tell front desk they say oh we can move you. I’m like don’t bother we are checking out and going to hotel across the street because of this stay. I ask for late check out because I can’t get into the new hotel til 2 and I was informed that to get late check out I would have to pay 15 dollars. I asked if a manager could approve not paying that since this stay was not up to par and I’m told manager will be that at 6am and she can’t approve it but would find out and let me know. Got a phone call in the room at 1030pm saying it was approved at no cost for a late check out. Needless to say we will never be back to this hotel! I warn anyone who doesn’t like bugs to not stay here. Now we will need to leave our things outside to unpack when we get home just in case I brought home bugs from this stay!

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at a youth hostel that truly stood out for its exceptional qualities. Nestled in a residential area, its location was incredibly convenient, offering a tranquil retreat just a bike ride away from the city center—less than 10 minutes to be exact. This made for peaceful nights, ensuring a restful sleep in a safe environment.
The hostel is run by a delightful couple whose hospitality knew no bounds. They were not only eager to assist with any issues that arose but also went above and beyond by providing bicycles. This thoughtful touch significantly enhanced my mobility around Houston, allowing me to reach various destinations swiftly.
What set this hostel apart was the attention to detail and the array of complimentary amenities, including cookies, milk, cereal, coffee, and tea. The cleanliness and smart technology throughout the house contributed to a seamless stay, making it the best hostel experience I've ever had. The bathroom towels folded into swan shapes were a testament to the owners' dedication to detail, adding a touch of elegance and care.
The warmth of the place was akin to being at home, with the owners always ready for a chat, eager to answer questions, and share their stories and experiences. A highlight for me was the world map on the living room wall, where guests could pin their home countries—a fun and interactive way to connect with fellow travelers.
In summary, this hostel was more than just a place to stay; it felt like a home, or perhaps more accurately, a homestay. It's undoubtedly the best hostel I've ever stayed in globally, blending the comfort of a home with the adventurous spirit of a hostel.
GGuest User1. *DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston at the Galleria IS THE FIRST HILTON-MANAGED HOTEL I'm STAYING IN WITH SUCH UNHOSPITABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL FRONT OFFICE STAFF.
2. The front office staff, unfortunately, are a new guest’s first contact but they lack professionalism and decorum. First impressions last forever, they say.
3. They don’t wear name tags at the front office (except Pinky Pradhan), so they carry on providing sub-standard services in anonymity.
4. THE RESTAURANT STAFF ARE ALL SO CORDIAL & SO NICE.
5. The food was excellent.
6. The facilities are super (gym and pool) except that the lifts are so slow and were perpetually being fixed for the seven nights I stayed there.
7. Only one electric power outlet (charging point) in the King size room, which was far from the work desk. So, laptop use was not fun. I was on a business trip, not on holiday
8. I was told that a guest has to be Hilton Honors DIAMOND to qualify to have a bottle of water in your room...amazing!
I chose the hotel because of its proximity to JW Marriott, venue of my training, so I could do a few minutes' walk to and fro. I wish I stayed at the Marriott. I may not recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Houston at the Galleria to any one I care about.
The hotel is in a great location. It’s close to everything you need. It’s clean, quiet, and has friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again when I’m back in the Houston area. Bernard was really friendly and kind to everyone he encountered.
TTracy MorganI scheduled a stay on the wrong date. The manager comped me $5. Not a big discount but every bit helps. The room was very clean though it had a strong bleach smell. Lots of contractors and their families staying in the hotel and talking outside our door til late and early next a.m.
CCUIZHUOn the side of the highway, the floors are only 6th floor. We are on the 5th floor. People with poor sleep quality at night are advised to stay carefully. It feels very noisy, the rooms are large and the service is good.
GGuest UserI checked in very late - around 8-9pm - and the woman at the counter was extremely friendly and nice. She made conversation with us about our trip and our jobs and told us all the available amenities. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was your average hotel breakfast, but had more options than I usually see so close to the end of breakfast time. They did not begin cleaning up breakfast right at the end time, which was nice because they let us keep grazing on what was left before finally taking it away about 20 minutes after breakfast had ended. The vending machines were really cool. There were cheap toiletries in the vending machine that you could buy in case you forgot something at home, and the cola vending machine had ice cold drinks for pretty cheap. I had a great time staying at this hotel and would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. I've stayed at this brand of hotel (Choice Hotels) before and I've always had a great experience.
LLAI LEIThe room is suitable for a family of four, two beds about 1.5 meters, sleep well, breakfast is quite rich, just went to the United States to take the time difference, eat a rich breakfast and add a lunch is enough, sleep in the afternoon, dinner is also saved It is. Opposite is the NASA Space Center, there are some restaurants nearby, big supermarkets and shopping malls are nearby, and life is very convenient.
BBettyNPapiZERO STARS. This was, by far, the WORST ”hotel” that I have ever had the displeasure of spending my money on. The beds were decently comfortable, but that is just about the only thing that wasn’t terrible. Check-in: There was no early check-in option; we had to wait until exactly 3 pm because ”housekeeping is still cleaning.” However, our rooms were still dirty upon arrival. There were several stains, some resembling old, dried blood and others like spilled coffee. Crumbs on the floor, hair in the bathrooms and on the beds, and obvious years of dust around the air conditioning units. Front Desk: There was no working printer or copy machine, and the deposit ”agreement” was handwritten with a permanent marker. When we asked for a copy, the disheveled front desk employee said that we could take a picture. My husband made him write a second one. Getting the deposit back went surprisingly smooth, though. Amenities: Both rooms had no extra toilet paper, and the rolls present had been used. One room had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but no hand soap, while the other had hand soap and a broken lotion dispenser with no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. When we called about hand soap, we were told housekeeping would bring it, but they never did. Room Issues: One room's telephone didn’t work, and the terrible front desk employee told me I had to get towels myself since he couldn’t leave the front desk. The room carpets were dirty, and the outside carpeting was filthy as well. The in-room coffee machines had no cups, ice bucket, or actual coffee. Most of the plugs were loose or simply didn’t work. Most of the linens were stained with unknown substances. Other Problems: We were told there were no available adjoining rooms, yet one of our rooms had a door to the neighboring room that I never saw anyone use. There was a roach sighting, which landed on my husband’s sandwich. A guest had warned us about them during check-in. The cable was supposedly out due to a recent storm, but the WiFi worked. We brought our own streaming devices to try and enjoy some part of the stay. Employee Conduct: The employees were unprofessional, unprepared, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. Facilities: Only one elevator worked. The ”continental breakfast” was waffles and cereal. Our keys deactivated several times over our two-day stay. Shuttle Service: The ”complimentary airport shuttle” was just a Lyft the hotel calls. I confirmed the complimentary service before arrival, but it was not as expected. They told me to write my phone number on a sticky note - when my husband went down later to remind them that we had six people and nine pieces of luggage, they said they couldn’t confirm that the Lyft would be big enough and only management could order it. We had to order and pay for our own Lyfts. I’ve stayed at many cheap hotels, and at the very least, the employees were decent. Good customer service can go a long way and can be helpful in situations like this, but we didn’
LLIANGThe hotel is located in the western part of the city, close to Chinatown. There are various restaurants around to choose from. Affordable, you can cook and eat by yourself, the yard is very quiet, it is recommended to stay at this hotel
JJenn ThomasThe location and price is great but they have a major roach problem. Also the pictures they show of the rooms look nothing like the rooms. When I first arrived I didn't have a shower curtain and no trash cans room. Also most of the light bulbs were too. It took me three days to get a shower curtain in my room. Also they don't have any washing machines and dryers.
