The actual lodge room, was rather small and seemed to be last decorated in the 60s! The bathroom had a problem. If we wanted to sit on the toilet, we had to close the bathroom door completely, or we could not sit without the door hitting our knees. Kenlake has a beautiful swimming pool, The employees were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean, but it was a very small room. The breakfast was included with the room and it was a menu where you picked your meal and it was delicious!

So, this may be long be we were there for a full week and had 70+ people for a family reunion. From start to finish this place was amazing. I started working with Kari the event planner a year ago, I was in charge of planning our family reunion! She was great in the beginning, in the middle, which you can imagine certain things did come up, all the way through the end. I also have to give props to all the staff; they were so friendly and always were available to help if need be. Now on to the facility itself, we rented 25 cabins and 5 lodge rooms! Not one complaint, one of the cabins the air conditioner was unable to get fixed, but they let us know when we checked in, asked for a little more time, but then called to say we were assigned another cabin of the exact same size and bedrooms. They were all very very clean and well stocked. It was super-hot, but everyone’s air conditioning kept up and we were all very comfortable. The lodge rooms were also very clean and comfortable. Trust me when I say, if anyone had a complaint I would be the first to hear about it and there were none. The pool was a really big and so clean! We were in it every day, and it was always crystal clear and the perfect temperature. We also rented their event space called the Cherokee Room and it was perfect for our dinners and party. We have done this for the past 30 years, from Colorado to Wisconsin and to the ocean twice, this is the first place that we are all in agreement we would definitely come back too. SIde note, we did rent a boat slip and it was also great!

We came to Kenlake for an overnight stay in the Lodge before the total eclipse of April 8. The lodge was very full as a lot of people had the same idea/ It's an older facility but very clean and well maintained. The location is amazing, sun rise over the lake was beautiful. The staff at the front desk, bar and restaurant were all extremely helpful and first rate in every way. Breakfast was included and hot, made to order. We look forward to a future stay.

I love this resort. This was my third stay. My family booked rooms for my grandson's graduation from Murray State. It is conveniently located only 15 miles from the school. The lake is beautiful and there are cottages as well as a campground available. There were 15 people total (8 rooms) . Accommodation are great and staff members are wonderful. The included breakfast is regular food: bacon, eggs, sausage, gravy, fruit, toast or biscuits or waffles/pancakes. Coffee is really good as well as service. Plenty of parking and handicap accessible. There are several event rooms and the lobby has a large seating area. The gift shop is small, but lots of Ky merchandise. Love this area!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage while we were there to ride side by sides at Turkey Bay OHV trails at LBL. Super convenient drive across the bridge to the Park. The cottages are a little bit dated (as pictures show) but very clean. Area is very quiet. Staff was super accommodating! We had 2 trucks with trailers. Parking by cottages was good for us but may be tough when there are more people in the other cottages. Staff offered us the option to park trailers up by main resort office if we needed more room to park. Breakfast was included at resort restaurant and was GREAT!! Marina and Burger place were less than a mile from our cottage. We loved the enclosed porch on the cottage for hanging out in evenings. Only “con” would be the mattresses. They were pretty hard and uncomfortable. If you are particular about your mattress you may want to bring a mattress pad. We will definitely stay there again & will recommend to anyone staying in the area! Thanks for a great weekend!

Conventional to Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley. Stayed in a cottage. The beds in our cottage were very firm/ uncomfortable. Decor and furnishings could use an update. The property is starting to show its age and could use a renovation. The front desk staff "Julie" was very sweet and helpful. Pet friendly and our dogs enjoyed our nature walks. Average breakfast but view of lake was very pretty in the mornings. The marina informed us they are purchasing new pontoons for rental use this 2023 season. Try "The Pond" local restaurant.

Spent three nights recently at Kenlake Lodge, a place I hadn’t visited in more than 15 years. I found it had not changed much during that time. As one would imagine, the biggest draw here is its location, right on Kentucky Lake & surrounded by rolling green hills. I can’t comment on the marina or any other feature of the resort, but I would guess this hotel is perfect for anyone wanting to take advantage of the boating/fishing activities. My visit was more for relaxing & recharging, so I was mainly interested in the actual accommodations. I had a standard room with 2 double beds. There is a mirrored dresser with tv, and a small round table with chair and floor lamp in the corner. The double window gives onto the parking lot, but the trees make for a pleasant view. A coffee set-up is on the table. No mini-fridge or microwave, which was not an issue for me. The nightstand between the beds has a lamp & multiple AC & usb outlets. There’s also a closet immediately upon entry. Now to the bathroom: this was one of the areas I found the most inconvenient & disappointing.Standard tub/shower combo with wall dispenser of hair products & body wash. Pedestal sink, instead of a vanity—meaning no place for storage. Barely enough room for electric toothbrush. Behind the toilet is a narrow shelf, maybe 6”x24”. This COULD serve for storage if there wasn’t a hairdryer inconveniently, permanently attached to the mirror above, and hanging down low enough to make a third of the shelf unusable. When staying more than one night, it’s nice to be able to unpack toiletries, etc., but it was just not possible in this bathroom. The other annoying feature of the room was the lack of reliable wifi. Streaming on my tablet was impossible due to the weak signal. Worse than that was the inability to get cell service. I was unable to make or receive calls unless I went outside, where I usually encountered several other guests conducting their own phone calls. This also meant that using my phone for internet in the room was a no-go. Breakfast was included in my rate and was quite good. The breakfast room is down a long flight of stairs & is utterly devoid of charm or atmosphere. But that’s less important than the food: choices of pancakes, waffle or “traditional.” The latter choice consisted of eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, and biscuit. Servers are friendly, efficient & go out of their way to please. One final observation that was both surprising & disappointing: this property has no recycling system. They simply do not recycle. I would have thought a state park, ostensibly created for/dedicated to preserving nature & the environment would be making an effort to do at least as much as most of us do at home. It seems oddly incongruous. Kenlake is almost the only game in town & for that reason will probably survive without having to do much in the way of upgrades. But visitors to the area might also want to consider Lake Barkley State Resort Park, about 14 miles awa

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very efficient. Food was average. Other restaurants nearby. We recommend for a family get together. Lodge is near the marina where boats can be rented. Nice size pool .

We stayed only one of our two planned nights because there was a mouse running around our bathroom! The front desk apologized and gave us our money back. I just can’t stand mice!! I guess we could have moved rooms, but I would have been paranoid!!
