Stayed for two nights, roommates were pretty nice! Attended the Happy Hour on one night, drinking free beer and chatting with friends from all over the world was quite pleasant. Breakfast was simple, coconut coffee was very good! Recommended.
The sanitation was really clean, the toilet would be cleaned by an aunt every once in a while, and the whole room smelled good. Youth hostels in Vietnam seem to not allow laundry, and Mad Monkey doesn't have a place to hang clothes, but you can spend a little money to find a laundry to wash and dry.
It's very close to Hoan Kiem Lake, and it's also interesting to wander around the old street next to it. For transportation, just take a grab!
You can deposit your passport or pay cash when checking in, and remember to bring a towel when checking out.
