If you want to stay away from the city, it is a good choice. It is quiet and has Chinese service. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic. The only suggestion is that the sound of moving chairs in the morning is too noisy. You can add cushions to the chair legs to reduce the noise. We live 2nd Floor.

This place is no where near the centre of town. Do yourself a favour and pay a little more to stay in the old quarter because you’ll be using the money on taxis if you stay here. There are no places to eat within walking distance and the hotel is located right next to the bridge that separates old and new Hanoi. This makes the area extremely busy, loud and dirty. The beds are like slabs of wood with sheets on. We asked to change rooms because of the bed only to be offered another room with the exact same bed. The room had a booklet advising of in-room dining and cocktails on the 8th floor however, this was not available and the 8th floor consisted of only rooms. We requested airport pickup only to be left at the airport. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel, the taxi was cheaper than the hotel shuttle. Don’t bother staying here. We were provided an upgrade to the room with the worlds most hardest bed. I’m so happy I’m only staying one night here. Avoid this place and Stay somewhere nice in the centre of town.

Great little hotel on a small street in old quarter Hanoi. We had great service and breakfast at this family run inn. They helped us arrange transport around town and got us oriented to the swarming streets. We really enjoyed the vibrant area and walked everywhere, including a food tasting tour, around the Lake and a Hanoi city tour that included Ho Chi Min monument and the water puppet performance. Aside from touristy things, we found ourselves situated here perfectly to jump out on our own and experience the vibrant street life around us. Nice knowledgeable and very welcoming. We recommend the Elpis at no. 5 wholeheartedly!

Although I've not personally visited the hotel, I wanted to leave a stellar review for the staff and how they handled a remote birthday gift request for my partner who stayed at the accommodation. I reached out to them over email to try and organise a nice gift for my partner and was provided with a menu from which I chose a nice bottle of wine. The staff worked with me over WhatsApp to organise and troubleshoot everything from the gift to the payment which we had to figure out together as I was making the request from Australia. I was delighted to see that the team went above and beyond, presenting the bottle of sparkling with an arrangement of roses and petals, a handwritten card and follow up call to ensure that my partner had received the gift okay. I'm very touched and thankful for their help, and it certainly made my partner's stay at the hotel that much more enjoyable. Thanks team! :)

Really nice hostel for both, people who wanna party and people who don't. I really liked the free walking tour through Hanoi. Huy (one of the staff members) showed us the Hotspots and also some hidden gems of the city. He also told us some interesting facts about the city and its history. My friends and I are happy that we met him, we had a great time at the hostel!

I booked the bus to da nang at the last day when I was going to leave, and the lady at the front desk offer me a place in cabin of vip bus, the price is 650k. But when the bus came to pick me up, I realized that it’s not what i paid for …… the price of this bus is cheaper (like 450k) than cabin of vip bus.
ITS NOT COOL if she did this on purpose!!!!!

Outstanding
GGuest UserI chose this hotel for my group of ten visiting Hanoi for three days. It had to meet these conditions: 1. Located in French Quarter, beloved for it's beautiful architecture; 2. Front a main street for vehicle access; and 3. Rooms on the ground floor or reached by elevator. 4. Reasonable room rates The hotel offered more: suite rooms, one with a balcony facing the street, washing machine and dryer in each room, proper bathrooms, pleasing decor, and excellent service. Opposite was a shop selling pho and bun. The owner was very friendly, the food excellent. He even offered me tra da free. A few doors away was a shop selling banh cuon, my favourite breakfast, again tasty food, and VND5,000 tra da to go with the meal. The owner herself, although hardly managing to speak English, was friendly and extremely helpful, while two if the staff spoke good English. I will definitely stay here again
SSara HoRoom was nice enough but kinda old. Seemed to always be waiting for the lift. Noticed some marks/stains on the bedding, more psychological than anything else. Took away and didn’t replace our bathrobes. Shower/taps are so badly designed that they need to print instructions on how to use.
Swimming pool is more like an oversized bath, don’t be expecting to do any lap training. Water was also so cloudy I couldn’t see past the length of my arm. Wouldn’t recommend it.
Sauna and steam room instructions were also difficult to understand. Found a dead cockroach in the steam room. Showers in pool area felt dirty. We went back to our room to shower.
Range of foods at breakfast wasn’t massive but sufficient. Staff were always friendly and well mannered.
Convenience stores are within walking distance so buying water is not a problem. Also lots of eateries around.
AAnonymous UserBe careful when asking the staff to arrange an airport taxi!
300,000 VND wasted.
I used the Grab app during my trip to Vietnam, and I was thinking of using the app to arrange a taxi to the airport when I returned home, but the staff said I would arrange it and wouldn't listen (half forcibly). So, well, it's a hotel, so I thought I wouldn't be ripped off, so I made a request.
When I entered Vietnam, it was about 400,000 VND from the airport to the hotel by Grab, but the staff agreed to arrange for 300,000 VND, and I paid the fee the day before check-out.
I wanted to keep proof of payment, so I asked for a receipt and was given it. (In the end, it didn't help at all.)
I checked out the next morning, but the staff who paid the taxi fare the day before was asleep and was absent, so I was dealt with by another part-timer who was sleeping on the sofa in the lobby.
I'm sleepy, but I'm quite suitable (I didn't even ask if I don't return the room key from here), and at the taxi meeting place that I had reserved the day before, I was told something I didn't understand in Vietnamese, and I gave instructions with my fingertips. I was in a situation where I didn't know which one to take while the taxis were stopped.
When I tried to check with the young man again, he was nowhere to be found. . .
In the end, I ended up taking a different taxi and ended up paying 400,000 VMD to the driver separately.
I don't expect Japanese level response, but I have to say that the taxi response this time is too appropriate.
I sent an email about this, but never got a reply.
Hotel facilities and cleanliness are reasonable for the price.
(There are some stains on the sheets and a little black mold in the bathtub, but I think it's not a problem if you're not a fastidious person.)
The location is good for walking around the old town.
This kind of thing happened just before returning to Japan, and it feels like something.
GGuest UserPros: The staff was extremely kind and accommodating and willing to help with any and everything if mentioned to them. It’s a fab location with Hoan Kiem lake well within walking distance, yet not right in the middle of the hectic old quarter so it’s possible to get a good night’s sleep (our room didn’t have a window, so unsure if this is true for rooms with window). Beds were changed every day and also clean towels daily however other amenities like toilet paper, shampoo, bodywash etc weren’t topped up during our stay. Cons: We arrived after the advertised check in time and our room wasn’t ready which wasn’t ideal after 17 hours of flights, however also understandable that sometimes other guests check out late. I think because of this they rushed to get the room ready which meant it wasn’t completely clean e.g hair on the floor, fingerprints on the mirrors/glass. Our TV didn’t work, the wifi was very slow during our stay, and the shower ran cold for the first 2 days which to be fair was fine considering how hot it was. Booking.com still states that breakfast is available here but nothing was mentioned to us about breakfast, and it’s worth noting that the photos used by the property definitely aren’t accurate. The property is nice, but not like the photos. Our room was windowless which I cant remember whether this was mentioned when booking. We didn’t complain as we 1) were very tired from the travelling, and 2) felt that it was a case of you get what you pay for (budget room/hotel). However I felt considering the high score the property has on booking.com and on here, it was important to leave a more accurate image of the property. Overall I would recommend for budget travellers, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for
GGuest UserThe rooms are really nice. The whole experience of the massage was very professional. Phuong was my masseuse, she very profession and good at the massage. There is also a sky bar which is lovely. The prices are really reasonable as well.
GGuest UserThe slippers that were provided for walking around the room was too loud, where it is difficult to be quiet when walking around in them. The husband is also uptight in not letting people eat in the dining area but outside which I can understand and could go along with, because they don't want the guest to leave garbage or get their table dirty, but they need to at least leave a garbage can outside so the guest don't have to leave it on the ground. I didn't like how I couldn't find a place to throw my ice cream wrapper away when I ate it outside and had to end up throwing it in the garbage of another person's place.
I also didn't like the location of how it was out of the city center where it wasn't near any grocery stores or open fruit and vegetable, and meat markets. Just by a bunch of restaurants some being a bunch of aggressive jerks sitting outside waiting for bystanders to walk by where they try to aggressively approach you to get you to eat at their restaurant. I need a place where I can use a kitchen to cook food for myself. I don't need to eat out every day.
These owners are a bit shady at times in that when I did came in early where it was not time for me to check in where I was willing to wait until my room is ready, their son had the nerve to try to make a few bucks off me in that if I pay them a few bucks, I can have my room before the check in time which was a bit tacky. The husband didn't give me very good advice when he told me that staying at this place is good for going into the city center and coming back, which it isn't for me, because I have to take the bus 1 hour and 45 minutes to the city center which is a longways. What lousy advice for my situation like he was trying to convince me to stay longer just so that they can make more money off of me. This was a little tacky too. Good for them, but not good for me.
I also didn't like how they send my clothing to a cleaner when I thought they were going to wash it in their washer and hang it up on their clothesline on their top floor. Not only that, but the cleaners lost my dress pants in the process or probably even stoled it and kept it for themselves and not really telling me the truth. I told them about this and they said that the cleaners who they sent it to didn't know what happen to it. The owners were even trying to try to lie a little bit by saying that I never gave them a dress pants for them to wash which is a bunch of ********.
They could have just let me use their washer where I could have used my own detergent to wash my clothing and hang it up to dry on their clothesline on the rooftop of their place where I would have paid them for it. For all I know these cleaners that they sent my clothing to for them to wash could be their friend and they are trying to help give their friends the business for any of their guests that has laundry for them to use. These cleaners are probably a bunch of thieves for all I know that probably looked through guests clothing for things that are valuable which they take and pretend that they don't know anything about it when the guests inquire of it. This is another shady tactical thing that they are probably doing as well.
I even asked them if they could compensate me which would not have amounted to much which they had refused. They didn't even have the nerve to apologize to me but to only lie to me by telling me ******** that the cleaners who they sent guests clothing to never lose any of their clothing which is a bunch of ********. All of this could have been avoided had they either let me use their washer or they wash it for me in their washer where I would have paid them. Do not trust these people with your clothing!!!!
GGuest UserReception were very friendly and helped to book my taxis (cheaper than getting a Grab taxi). The room itself was very clean and housekeeping were attentive and cleared out bins etc everyday.
The location is also very good - near old town area and great to visit by going around the lake.
GGuest UserRatings are always based on personal standards and judging criteria. For this, I am coming from the angle of a cheap airport hotel. This is the best airport hotel around Hanoi Noi Bai Airport, and at a decent price. Do not expect intercontinental buffet breakfast, business lounges and the likes. The room is pretty new, clean, functional, and large. Despite being close to the airport, you can barely hear anything from landing aircraft. Breakfast is simple at best, and staff seem to be still in 'training', with only Brian being the 'boss'. Rooftop pool doesn't look well maintained, and the entertainment room has been abandoned totally altogether, with the foosball and billiard table left to collect dust while it has become a storage and parking area. But hey, its an airport hotel. Purpose is to have people sleep for 1 night before leaving prompto. It is situated in a pretty rural area so don't expect any established eateries or convenience stores nearby. Think roadside hawkers and home-run provision shops. In conclusion, best airport hotel near Hanoi Noi Bai Airport.
AAndi_I really liked my stay here! Everything has been instructed carefully. The location of it, for me its really good as its near the bus station, coffee shops(!), and some other restaurants. The room itself is PERFECT! It is aesthetically pleasing, clean, and complete with stuffs! I didn’t expect the kitchen area. Really good price also.
GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store.
Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it.
The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders.
I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.
