We stayed for 2 nights as a couple. Arriving at 8pm on the ferry, we stood in reception as a group of of eight (8) expecting to be checked-in. After about 5 minutes we were frustrated at waiting, and got the attention of one of the waiting staff - who told us that reception closed at 5pm… We checked-in, and I was told that our room 203 was in a yellow building, and the member of staff waved in a general direction. We cycled off, tired and hungry, and failed to find our room - which was 300m away in the trees. I returned to reception, and saw a map that showed the location. This was a really poor start. Our room was great - in a characterful building with 7 other rooms. Fab view from our room, and from the outside communal deck. Breakfast was absolutely rammed both days, and the staff struggled to keep things stocked up, but the buffet was really good, with an extensive range of meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, drinks, cereals and hot food. The restaurant menu is modest, but the food is excellent. The staff are entirely charming. Friendly, helpful, and attentive. There’s a good bar.
