The Hotel was nice and the service was nice but the price you pay per night I wouldn’t say is worth it. The best are super uncomfortable and stiff and the rooms facing the street with a big window I feel should have like a dual curtain to you can at least open the curtain for lighting but you can’t because then everyone would be able to see in your room. Other than that it was a great visit.

Booked a two-night stay for about $450 and unfortunately had to cancel after an unexpected death in my family. I reached out to the hotel within about 24 hours of making the reservation, and the stay was still five days away. When I booked the room, I didn’t even realize the rate I selected was non-refundable. That part was my mistake, and I take responsibility for that. At the same time, sometimes policies don’t always reflect real-life circumstances. Situations like this are when you hope a business will show at least a little understanding. Losing someone in your family is already difficult, and dealing with travel plans on top of that only adds to the stress. I wasn’t trying to bend the rules unfairly, just hoping the hotel might consider the situation and show a little compassion. Instead, there was no flexibility at all and the full amount was kept. Even reaching out within a day of booking and several days before the stay didn’t make a difference. Policies are important, but so is basic human understanding. Moments like this are when companies have the opportunity to show they care about people, not just policies. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case here. Just something for future guests to keep in mind when booking.

If I could give them a zero, I would. Why we booked: Across the street from Spooky Nook, came with sports group. Why I would rather drive from hours away than stay here again. 1) Luxury Price but as a frequent business and sports traveler would have probably been treated with more class at a Roach Motel. 2) Day 1, staff at desk looked overworked, tired and were not friendly - figured they were swamped. 3) Can feel springs in the bed in your back all night. 4) The in-room fridge was loud all njght in chorus with the heat and ac. 5) PAPER thin walls - can hear your neighbor peeing, people walking to in halls. 6) They advertise for groups but if you congregate with your group in a normal way they will send security to you even during the day to rudely and aggressively follow you to your room. 7) be aware every 5 feet there are signs no outside food if you attempt to distribute outside food to your group such as a sports team after a game - security will be after you to eat in your room which by the way has no table. 8) IF you TRY to spend money with your group or as a couple at their bar/restaurant Hydraulic be prepared for slow and extremely rude service. We tried to eat three meals there over two days. Different wait staff each time but all the same. Rude, no sense of urgency. In fact they called security to throw three moms out for asking if someone could wait on them after being ignored by multiple staff member and 20 minutes went by. The real kicker is once the question was asked about the service the bartender went on a rant that he would cut them off. Considering they had not been served even one drink it clearly was a staff person offended they did not continue to stand there like and wait to be spoken to. Security comes down like the swat team to rudely throw 3 sober people out. You can not bring your own food, you can not get their food apparently either. I have more than one child in travel sports and have been to multiple spooky nook locations . This is our second time at this one and will be back again for this tournament but will not be back to your hotel, would rather sleep in my car. What I want whoever owns this to know: if this is your business plan , it’s not sustainable. If this is not your business plan you have SERIOUS leadership and training issues at your hotel/restaurant that probably will hurt your reputation and court lawsuits.

I could not travel this weekend due to the state of emergency weather. Hotel would not give me a comp. I did not want my money back…. Just a future room.

Room was ready 4 hours late so we had to sit in the lobby all evening. They made it up to us by giving us 2 breakfast vouchers for the next morning. When we went down to breakfast, it was closed because the vendor they use was late. Vouchers were worthless.
They wound up putting us in an ADA room that had a shower head at neck height with no water pressure. Walls were paper thin - we could hear the show they were watching on the TV next door.
1 star for convenience to Spooky Nook and 1 star for the woman working by herself.

Very highly priced for what it is. I’ve posted pictures of the ceiling in my room, not really the “warehouse effect”; more like “dump effect!” Parking is a bit of a walk, if you can find a spot when a tournament is going on. No phone in room; need the front desk? Call them on your phone. No pool!

Avoid at all costs. Find a reputable hotel Chain and stay there. Seriously, if you are a traveling youth sports team, avoid this hotel. It was a miserable experience. Restaurants closed, hotel staff rude, bars closed, security over extremely rude and self important. Don’t stay here. We had an entire hockey team purchase rooms here. Thousands of dollars. Restaurants were closed, boys needed to eat…but we were told they could not eat pizza in open areas from restaurants off property. What?? On top of that, the security told their PAYING CUSTOMERS to go to their rooms. Whoever invested in this hotel, I hope you get your money out soon. Awful.
