Airport Heritage Motel

The Airport Heritage Motel is on Kingsford Smith Drive, Hamilton in Brisbane. It is close to the cruise ship terminal and to the airport. The outside of the motel looks run down but the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Our room had a microwave, fridge, kettle and tea coffee. There is parking available. It is also a short walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Checked in then walked out. Dingy and the couch was sunken really badly. Could have a decent couch. No where to eat anywhere around. Does not look anything like the photos on internet. For the price I would elsewhere.

Very basic accommodation. Motel is very old and could do with a spruce up. Spacious room with tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery, etc. Could do with mugs instead of the small tea cups. Shower has fantastic pressure but could do with a good bleach and bathroom mirror hadn’t been cleaned.. Only one hook that is 1/2 hanging out of the wall to hang towels afterwards. Bed was very comfortable. Couch very old and uncomfortable. TV was great with lots of information about hotel and local attractions, food etc. Breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was nice but aircon was set to 30 which was way too hot (23 and humid outside). For the price it was good.

Booked through our Qantas app, and will only stay there once. Got the last park, wedged in a corner.. nothing bigger than a small hatch would have fitted. Not sure where the other 4 rooms guests that keys were in the lock box were going to park but. Room was a good size, tv good, and the was ok but the positive ended there. The air con remote had no batteries, had to swap in and out of the tv remote, the couch was dirty and well passed its use by date. The bathroom had someone’s empty body wash tube in the shower that was the old over bath / shower curtain type with mouldy grout and a grubby floor.

Renovated spotless very large room with ultra comfy king bed and huge sofa, with adequate dining suite. The marble shelve tops indicate the heritage. The shower and water pressure is best on the planet.

I rarely write negative reviews, preferring instead to acknowledge great service and positive experiences. I travel extensively and in many cases (due to the nature of my work) the only available accommodation is 'basic' at best. There is a distinct difference however, between basic and unsafe. I stayed at the Heritage for a one-night layover in May 2023. I was prepared to overlook the stained foyer carpet, tired decor and musty room odour, as I would be checking out early at 4am the following morning. After placing a selection of gourmet cheeses in the small fridge however and finding that only minutes later the fridge had appeared to fail, I contacted the duty manager. I initially made no requests or demands and simply advised him of the situation. His immediate response was that the hotel was full so I could not change rooms and that there were no spare fridges available. The manager then ended the call with "Sorry - there is nothing I can do". Further investigation revealed a concerning electrical installation which may have been a contributing factor to the appliance failure. Coupled with the presence of what appeared to be black mold in the bathroom and an expired emergency evacuation plan, I would suggest that 'Quality' Inn should consider either a review of their company name or arrange an internal audit of their facilities.

Had a wonderful nights stay. The hotel is very close to the airport. The comfiest bed and pillows...wanted to take them home. Looked like the room had been freshly printed and the bathroom had possibly been updated too Lovely friendly staff. A wonderful stay...we'll definitely go back😊😊

It was a really cheap Uber trip from Brisbane airport and proved to be a comfortable night's stay with a great shower. It was easy to get in to the room without anyone being there, although if travellers didn't speak English they.may have trouble. Overall comfortable stay but it could be cleaner... There was a slight cigarette smell in the room, the pillows smelt a bit and I found a brown crispy thing on the sheet, luckily on the side so it wasn't touched.
