Managed to find another hidden Gem. Once the ancestral home of the legendary ‘Gajaman Nona’, now converted into a luxury boutique hotel- Maya Tangalle. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty—the service was beyond exceptional, with the staff making us feel completely pampered. The atmosphere of the place is breathtaking, combining luxury with the charm of its historic roots. Since we were the only guests over the weekend, the entire staff made us feel like the place was ours, spoiling us with delicious meals and attentive service. If you’re looking for a serene escape to unwind in nature, Maya Tangalle is an absolute must-visit.

The word to describe this gem of a hotel is 'exquisite.' The decor of our King's Suite was magnificent. The manager, staff and the Executive Chef were kind and attentive and my wife and I were made to feel like royalty. The cuisine was excellent. Lovely swimming pool. Without doubt we would like to return when next in Sri Lanka.

Maya Tangalle was a decadent and luxurious escape from the city. The friendly staff are quick to greet you with smiles and efficient hospitality. The rooms and en suite bathrooms were spacious and large with beautiful accessories. The large pool was delightful and the warm water just washed your stress away. It was a quiet and unobtrusive ambience that helps one relax completely. The food served was absolutely delicious; perhaps the best I have experienced in resort hotels in Sri Lanka. Not just the taste, but the presentation and the service was impeccable. We were served "fried ice cream " for dessert- an original crunchy batter encasing vanilla ice cream that tantalised the taste buds. It was served in a decadent and pristine dining room that resembled royalty. An incredible hotel for a luxurious and peaceful holiday, Maya Tangalle should be your next holiday destination.

One of the most memorable stays ever! A charming resort located in the middle of lush greenery with amazing staff members who took care & looked after us like GOLD! A very special thanks should go to Prashath, Sampath and Executive Chef Asoka and for the rest of the team for their excellent service throughout our stay! During our short visit to Tangalle, we discovered another stunning place: Maya Tangalle. Built with British and Dutch influences and elegantly restored, it offers a deep sense of luxury. What sets this villa complex apart is its openness to the elements and the surrounding paddy fields. At Maya, the morning light brings forth a serenity akin to an infant's tranquil awakening. The staff's impeccable attention to detail ensures a worry-free stay, accompanied by genuine smiles that brighten each day. The property is simply divine, meticulously maintained with stunning views in a charming local and rural setting. The food was outstanding. Located in a calm and tranquil area, Maya Tangalle helped us relax and enjoy our vacation to the fullest. The rooms were super clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They were well-experienced, super friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The only negative point is that it’s a bit away from the beach, towards the countryside. However, it’s only a 20-minute drive from Hiriketiya Beach, one of the best beaches in the deep south for bathing and surfing, with many restaurants to chill out. It is the perfect combination of a beach holiday, returning to luxury and comfort after the sun and surf. Additionally, two renowned game reserves, Yala and Udawalawe National Parks, are just a two-hour drive away, offering an incredible wildlife experience. The nearby turtle conservations and other attractions are truly amazing and add to the unique charm of this stunning place. We had an amazing time at this hotel! The food was absolutely amazing, and the rooms were very clean and tidy. It's one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. We were very impressed with the branding, even down to the tiny details. The hospitality of the team was exceptional; they were so helpful and checked our requirements one by one. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of our 3 week long honeymoon to Sri Lanka. I have to say it's my second visit to maya probably the highlight of our trip. What is unique about this villa ‘complex’ is that it is completely open to the elements and the paddy around it. Our Kind Deluxe room was amazing. It felt luxurious, clean and had everything you needed. Given nature was on the doorstep, there were no unwanted guests in our room at any time. The real highlight of the manor are its staff, in particular our assigned Prashath manager. Other thanks goes to the guest experience officer Chathuka. He made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and he couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. Overall, a hugely awarding and positive stay at Maya Tangalle, and we would return again in the future.
