"This hotel is one of our favourites. Food is always terrific and lovely rooms. Special shout out to Michela (reception) , Travis & Anthony (Basset Hound fountain of knowledge). Anthony ALWAYS goes above and beyond, attention to detail & makes a massive fuss over the dogs. We adore this hotel and staff really go the extra mile."

Premier Inn Halifax South Hotel ★★★

📍 Huddersfield Rd, Salterhebble Hill, Halifax

"We stayed at Halifax South Premier Inn for 1 night on our way back from a new year break and for the price (just £50!) it couldn’t be faulted. Even before we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful, responding quickly to my request for a corner top floor room and allocating us exactly that. This warmth from staff continued at check in and throughout our stay. Our room was exactly what you’d expect from a premier inn, basic furnishings but clean and with a lovely view of the canal. The room was also blissfully quiet with no noise from outside or other guests. There is ample easy parking and we had both dinner and breakfast at the Brewer’s Fayre next door on a premier inn meal deal. The food was decent pub grub and again the service was friendly - having veggie sausage and bacon available at breakfast was a great plus! For the value and location - just outside Halifax - we’d definitely stay here again if in the area."

Wool Merchant Hotel Halifax ★★★

📍 5 Mulculture Road, Halifax

"This hotel is in a great location for The Piece Hall and centre of Halifax. Parking only £3 for 24 hours in the car park next to the hotel. It is in need of some significant refurbishment and upgrading but was good value considering the room rate. The staff were friendly and a basic breakfast is included in the price. It's good for anyone looking for a basic room on a budget when visiting Halifax but don't expect Travelodge or Premier Inn standards for the price."

Premier Inn Halifax Town Centre ★★★

"Stayed here as we were attending an event at the Piece Hall and Halifax parkrun the following morning. Location is excellent with the four story car park literally next door (£14 for 24 hours). Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Halifax centre is a short walk away and Shroggs Park 25 mins away. We would stay here again if we return."

CBH Holdsworth House Hotel and Restaurant ★★★★

"Everything about this hotel is first class. The warm welcome and service throughout was exceptional. The bedroom was perfect, very thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed, great shower and toiletries. Dinner was incredible; a great balanced menu with dishes to wow and impress, whilst also traditional favourites with a high quality twist. Loads of local, seasonal produce and flavours, great wine list, stunning presentation and VERY tasty. Served in gorgeous surroundings. The hotel is stunning; oozing character, history and stories, set in wonderful grounds. Didn’t want to leave, and definitely hope to return."

Wool Merchant Hotel Halifax ★★★

"Before I say anything, the lovely man at the reception was outstanding, polite and willing to help. This comment is about the management of the hotel. I booked through trip and paid in advance but they did not have this information upon arrival. There was an invoice for £40 whereas I had paid £50 through Trip. The man at receiption quickly waved the new invoice. The hotel is very run down. The room was in an apalling state. Although the bedsheets and towels were clean the overall state of the room was awful. The drains were clocked, the shower screen broken, there were stains everywhere. I understand it’s a very cheap hotel but there should be a minimum of respect to the customers. There was free breakfast which was okay. Some of the other customers were quite loud and roudy."
