It is lovely to stay in Old Post Office, Halifax. The location is very close to the railway station and Woolshops Shopping Center, also the Halifax Bus Station and Sainsbury's. They are very warm and helpful. I will come again as I come to visit Halifax again!

The hotel is ideally situated in walking distance to most shops and the town centre. It is not flashy and areas of the hotel are a little outdated but it was ideal for what I needed whilst visiting Halifax. The bed was comfy and the staff are super friendly! I instantly felt welcome and very comfortable to ask for assistance if I needed it. I would stay at The Old Post Office again. Top tip: if you are a solo traveler and rooms are not showing as available, then phone The Old Post Office directly. I was told the rates are £48 per night for solo travelers.

Staff were friendly. Stayed one night after a gig. The room was dirty, carpet not hoovered and worn, cobwebs and dust all around the skirting boards. Bed uncomfortable and shower was dirty I waited till I got home for one Which is not ideal. The double room was not cheap @ £95 for the night with no breakfast. I can cope with a basic room and price but for it not to be clean is unforgivable especially when it’s your business, that should be a basic. It should be clean. I expected better…. Won’t stay there again but will visit Halifax.

I was here for a week. It was a nice stay. A nice double bed. All clean and also had shampoo etc which was included which was a nice touch. Tea/coffee etc was there upon my arrival. A nice large TV with Freeview TV channels. The landlady Jackie (sorry if I have spelt your name wrong) was lovely, smiles as soon as she saw me. Very welcoming and couldn't do enough for me while I was there. The place was clean. I have seen some reviews who have put the place down but I can't say I saw that while I was there. The locals are friendly. What more can you ask for? Also the bonus is that there is a kind of beer garden at the front which when it is sunny it's like a sun-catcher. I would gladly return again. And look forward to doing so one day.

Welcomed but not welcoming, extremely overpriced bar, the sign outside is large and clearly states, Luxury en suite bed and breakfast, I didn't see anything that reflected any of these words. I was actually very shocked. The rooms were dirty, walls need tk get the dead bugs off, shared bathroom was very dirty and clearly not been cleaned in a while. For £35 and although this is very cheap, you can get a clean travelodge around the corner for an extra £8.personally would avoid at all cost.
