What an amazing hotel HakoBA Hakodate is. It is located in the old Fuji Bank building which gives it a unique character. They have done an amazing job updating the interior making it look modern yet still letting the character of the building shine through, awesome! Staff at reception were super friendly and helped us with lots of recommendations, like food and drink, and helped us with the public transport 1-day pass which you can buy here. There's also a cool little shop in the reception area selling local gifts. The room was really nice and we were lucky they gave us a room on the top floor which meant the room had really high ceilings and amazing details on the ceiling. Bathroom was pretty large, very modern and clean. Location wise this hotel is perfect. It is a 20 minute walk from the station but well connected to other public transport like buses and the city tram system. Located in the middle of the redbrick warehouse area of Hakodate there's plenty of shopping and restaurants around. Ideal for exploring this amazing city. Highly recommend staying here!

The view is the best. The night view is very beautiful as you can see the sea and Mt. Hakodate from the cottage in the room. The open-air bath on the top floor, where you can be healed by the sound of the waves while looking at the ocean view at the natural hot spring, is exceptional. 1 F's large communal bath is also wide 々, and the jacuzzi bath and sauna are also substantial. There is also a standard ping-pong corner in the old-fashioned Nintendo corner and hot spring inn, which is a relaxing space for children to enjoy. It was good that there were about 100 kinds of meals such as buffet, live kitchen, bar counter, etc., but I want ramen, soba, and udon noodles. The minus point is that the air conditioner cannot be adjusted in its own room due to the fact that the climate is not stable due to the hot or cold weather at the end of May. However, at this time of Hokkaido, there are no insects, so it's okay to open the window. So, I think it's an ant to enjoy the atmosphere while listening to the sound of the waves. A fan rental ant. Because I was able to use national travel support, it was very reasonable and the price was very satisfied. The location that can be reached in about 10 minutes by car from the station is ◎
