Stayed on Friday night for our regular night away gathering - me my partner and my two adult daughters . From arriving at 3.00pm on Friday until leaving 10.00am on Saturday absolutely faultless. Great service for Scott behind the bar, beautiful food, lovely rooms and great English breakfast. One of the loveliest places we have stayed

We found this place to stay during a visit to Catterick races (less than 10 minutes away) and From the moment we arrived at This brilliant place we were greeted with brilliant customer service from a lady who I later found out is the landlady. Amazing kindness with absolutely nothing too much trouble. We stayed in room number 1 and I must say it’s a lovely clean room and has the comfiest bed I’ve ever stayed in anywhere. It’s a nice cosy pub with a cosy atmosphere with nice beer amazing food (new chef started on the night we visited) and the nicest staff inc Scottie behind the bar. The overall experience was 1st class from start to finish. Thank you

We booked here for Sunday lunch. We had been previously but not since it had changed hands. We were sat in the restaurant, which is very nice, although there is an odd arrangement of shoes in the corner which I am not sure enhances the otherwise pleasant decor. My husband had the beef and I had the pork. The pork came with a good piece of crackling which was crispy and tasty. On the plate there was a very large Yorkshire pudding, mash, roast, a couple of pieces of cauliflower cheese and some carrot and turnip. Vegetables were also supplied separately and consisted of cabbage, baton carrots and peas. My pork was delicious and really well cooked and my husband said his beef was absolutely delicious. We both had dessert. My husband opted for the Snickerbocker Glory and I had the Eton Mess. Both were served in very tall glasses and were really lovely. The service was good and the waitress very pleasant. All in all we had a very pleasant afternoon. The price was very reasonable and we will definitely return. I believe food is served until 4 pm and the pub offers take away options.

Lovely place to stay, well thought out, comfortable accommodation with wonderful owners and staff who make you feel welcome and well looked after. Felt very relaxed leaving the next morning after a peaceful night sleep, and a good breakfast. Looking forward to staying again.

We popped in for a drink whilst staying at a nearby holiday park, was so lovely and welcoming with a great atmosphere that we decided to stay for some food as well! Well cooked honest pub food that really hit the spot. The lasagne was a big hit with the family!
