The hotel service was excellent; any issues were promptly resolved, and they even offered some small perks. My family and I were super satisfied. The breakfast was also good, with a wide variety of food, and the local stone-ground rice noodles were particularly delicious! We ended up extending our stay for another night.

The room was quite new. Even though it was a busy National Day holiday, the staff handled everything efficiently and orderly. The front desk lady even gave our child balloons and erasers as little gifts, and helped us prioritize a room selection so our baby could rest. The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to hail a taxi, and it's only a 6-minute walk to Huacheng Square.

The room was quite comfortable and very clean, with no unpleasant odors. The front desk staff were very helpful and responsive to any issues. It's also conveniently located for getting around. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I'd definitely choose this place again for my next visit. Highly recommend it!

I've been staying at this hotel since it was still called Haxuanli, and I basically choose them every time I come to Guangzhou. This National Day holiday, they didn't disappoint us either. Mia contacted us in advance to ask about our arrival time and any extra needs. When we arrived at 2 PM, the room was already ready, and even children's slippers were prepared. The cleaning staff also worked very hard, and despite the full occupancy, the rooms were cleaned quickly. Mia gave us a free upgrade, and the view was fantastic. The breakfast is our favorite, with rice noodle rolls and noodle soup being our top choices. During the National Day holiday, to maintain such order amidst the crowds is something I find truly commendable. The location is also very convenient, close to the subway station, and you can even see Canton Tower from the park nearby.

Staying here with kids during the National Day holiday was super convenient. There are plenty of places to eat and explore nearby. The hotel breakfast is also great, especially the rice noodle rolls – definitely don't miss those! They have a wide variety of other options too, all well-balanced and nutritious. The front desk staff were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Although my stay was only for one day, it was quite an experience. The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance of Zhujiang New Town and Haixinsha. The room layout was well-designed, and I really liked the decor. The hardware conditions in the rooms at this Guangzhou Holiday Inn far surpassed those of equivalent Holiday Inns in Hong Kong. However, a hotel review is never just about location and room size. One counter-intuitive aspect of this hotel is that the lobby is on the highest floor, the 17th, while the hotel rooms are on floors 11-16. To exit the building, you first have to take an elevator up to the lobby, and then take another elevator down. My experience with the hotel was also quite difficult to describe. Only after checking in did I find a written notice in the room stating there would be power outages on October 1st and 2nd, during the busiest National Day holiday period. Why wasn't this communicated before check-in? Guests should have the option to decide whether to stay, especially since Guangzhou has many hotels, not just those under the InterContinental Group. Then, shortly before 10 PM, there was a sudden power outage without any warning. This wasn't even during the time slot that was communicated. Luckily, it didn't last long, but it was absolutely unprecedented. While the hotel quickly and effectively provided service recovery after my complaint, I want to emphasize that service is an experience, produced and consumed simultaneously. Post-incident recovery cannot erase a negative experience that has already occurred. Fortunately, this sudden power outage wasn't prolonged and didn't lead to uncontrollable situations, otherwise, the losses would have been much greater. Personally, I believe the hotel should have done the following: 1) Communicated and negotiated thoroughly with the property management beforehand to avoid sudden power outages or schedule them as much as possible for the middle of the night. 2) Informed guests in advance, rather than explaining and trying to recover after the fact. For guests unwilling to accept the power outage schedule, the hotel should have proactively arranged transfers to other hotels within their group.

A rare comfortable stopover during my journey. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the service was gentle and thoughtful, helping me shed the fatigue of travel. The room was cozy and comfortable, leading to a good night's sleep – a truly healing stay.
